During the time of the Cold War Americans thought that the Communist plan was to conquer America and the West through the use of military force but this has never been the primary plan of the Communists. Rather, the central Communist plan has always been to take down America and the West via economics. War has always been a last resort and for some reason Americans have never understood that.
