Immigration Reform Becomes a Priority…Again – Tea Party Nation

Immigration Reform Becomes a Priority…Again – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

Every few years immigration becomes a political issue and, in truth, it has always been an issue in the minds of generations of Americans from its earliest years. Initially, those who were here, largely from England, wanted others like them, but America was a dynamic place spreading West and with a growing industrial sector.

Events elsewhere in the world also played a role. By the middle half of the nineteenth century more than one-half of the population of Ireland emigrated due to a famine there. They were joined by Germans who came to America to escape severe unemployment, civil unrest, and other hardships.

From 1820 to 1870, more than seven and a half million immigrants came to the United States—more than the entire population of the country in 1810. Their labor helped build canals and railroads.

They were followed by a mass immigration from Russia and Eastern Europe in the second half of the nineteenth century and early twentieth. The majority were Jews escaping persecution. They were joined by a massive immigration of Italians. In the 1880s there were 300,000 Italian immigrants, but that doubled by the 1890s and not long after that more than two million had arrived. By 1920 America had four million Italians who now called it home. Among both the Italians and Russians were my ancestors.

That was then and this is now. Mostly Americans are being told that the immigration issue is about politics; getting more Hispanics into the nation so they can vote for Democrats. There is a measure of truth to this, but the real issues that are rarely addressed in the mainstream media are demographic, the effect their immigration—particularly their illegal immigration—is having on fundamental issues of employment, the cost of educating them, the criminals among them, and their access to various welfare programs all funded out of the pockets of taxpayers, local, state and federal.

Most dramatic, but never spoken of is the way the influx of illegals is making life very difficult for those waiting in line to legally become citizens; those seeking immigration visas and green cards They are getting shafted as they wait months or years for their applications to be processed by a bureaucracy overwhelmed by the waves of illegals.

In California, however, it is now okay for illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses. None of this makes any sense since, of course, they are breaking our laws just by being here. Only in America would we witness rallies in which illegal aliens demand to be granted instant citizenship.

In late 2014, the Center for Immigration Studies issued a report noting that nearly one in six adults in the U.S. is foreign-born. Based on Census Bureau data, the Center found that the nation’s immigrant population (legal and illegal) hit a record 41.3 million in July 2013, an increase of 1.4 million from July 2010. That was double the number in 1990.

“The new data makes clear that while Latin America and the Caribbean are still a significant source of immigration, the growth is being driven in large part by immigration from Asia, the Middle East, and Africa,” said Steven Camarota, the Center’s Director of Research.

Do we really want to be opening our doors to immigration from the Middle East? Isn’t that what contributed to the recent murderous attack on the French satirical newspaper? Isn’t the Middle East where the attack on the World Trade Center was planned? Weren’t other attacks here inspired by the Islamic jihad? Isn’t northern Africa called the Maghreb in recognition of its Islamic nations? Aren’t we wondering not if, but when, another attack will occur here?

Writing about immigration issues in June 2014, Nancy Thorner, a Research Fellow at The Heartland Institute, noted that “Since October of last year 52,000-to-60,000 unaccompanied children have arrived at our border with Mexico with the expectation of being allowed into our country. They came mostly from Honduras, Guatemala or El Salvador.”

They came in the thousands, but they were fully expected by the Obama administration that had set up what was simply a mass invasion. U.S. immigration laws exempted them from being turned away at the Mexican border.

“Recently Democrats,” wrote Thorner, “have sought to re-frame the deepening crisis by identifying the immigrants as ‘refugees’, to coincide with the different rules and laws that apply to people with that label. That is one reason critics believe Obama’s intention is to find a way to keep all 60,000-plus immigrants here permanently.” The White House “has projected a staggering cost of $2.28 billion to care for and resettle child immigrants from Central America; some say that figure is low.”

The politics surrounding immigration will be highlighted on Wednesday (Jan 14) when an immigration plan heads to the House for a vote. As reported by the Associated Press, “It would block President Barack Obama’s recent limits on deportations and undo protections for immigrants brought to the United States illegally as children.” Obama has tried to change immigration law using executive orders. That’s unconstitutional.

What is news is the fact that the House Speaker John Boehner, seen by his critics as too accommodating to the President, has embraced the tougher plan.

“At issue, is a $39.7 billion spending bill to keep the Department of Homeland Security funded through February. The House version would block Obama’s November order granting temporary relief from deportation to about 4 million immigrants who are in the country illegally. Most have been here at least five years and have children who are citizens or legal permanent residents.”

“In a surprise to many, the House GOP proposal would also reverse a 2012 program called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals that removed deportation threats to certain immigrants brought illegally to the U.S. as children.”

Assured of passage in the House, if the bill makes it through the Senate largely intact, Obama is expected to veto it.

The issue of immigration is about to take center stage for a while, becoming a priority as it is put to a vote, but the real issues of Immigration are as much about people as politics, as much about its costs as about compassion.

Our Muslim President – Tea Party Nation

Our Muslim President – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

No, I cannot prove that Barack Obama is a Muslim, but a review of his public life from the days he was campaigning to be an Illinois Senator through his years as President have raised a lot of questions, including a notable slip of the tongue during a television interview when he referred to himself as a Muslim.

During an interview with George Stephanopoulus, Obama said “John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith” and Stephanopoulus, a former member of the Clinton administration, was quick to suggest to Obama that he meant to say his “Christian faith.”  Oops.

Not that Obama has made a secret of the fact that his father was a Muslim or that his step-father was as well. In his youth when Obama lived in Indonesia he attended a Muslim madras, a school devoted to the faith. He has referred to the Muslim call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” Indeed, he has recited its opening lines with a perfect Arabic accent saying “Allah is supreme…I witness that there is no god but Allah…”

Obama surprised a lot of people when in London on April 9, 2009 he bowed deeply to the Saudi monarch, regarded as the protector of Mecca and Medina, Islam’s two holy cities. No President had ever bowed in that manner to a foreign potentate.

Observers have pointed out that his wife, Michelle, does not accompany him to Muslim nations because Sharia law would require her to wear a head covering as the wife of a Muslim man in a Muslim nation. Others have noted that Muslims are forbidden to wear jewelry during Ramadan and during that Islamic holy month he has never been seen wearing his wedding ring or watch.

Obama did not travel to Israel during his first term as President. It was not until March 2013 that he visited Israel and he has consistently displayed a lack of sympathy, if not enmity, toward Israel during both terms, opposing the construction of Israeli housing and suggesting it return to its 1967 borders, echoing the complaints and demands of Palestinians and others.

It is true that Obama attended a Chicago church led by Rev. Jeremiah Wright who, in an interview, said that Obama “was steeped in Islam when he first met him” and that he “made it comfortable “ for Obama to accept Christianity without have to renounce his Islamic background. When Rev. Wright and his church became controversial in 2008, Obama publicly left it. Joining the church was, in his words, related to the fact that he was doing community organizing, often in Chicago churches, thus making a church membership a useful attribute.

If there is a baptism certificate for Obama, it remains sealed from public view along with many comparable documents such as a certified copy of his original birth certificate. The one put forth by the White House has been debunked as a fraud by many document experts.

An Associated Press article was published on June 27, 2004 in the Kenyan Standard Times reporting that “Kenyan-born U.S. Senate hopeful, Barack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.” During and after the campaign Obama did not deny having been born in Kenya until August 28, 2006 when his staff began to say he was born in Hawaii.

Allen B. West, a former member of Congress and a popular columnist, has written ”President Obama just cannot bring himself to say Islamist, jihadist, Islamic terrorism — nothing. It is still this Obama administration which classifies the Islamic jihadist attack at Ft. Hood Texas, and the barbaric beheading of an American woman in Moore Oklahoma, both as “workplace violence.”

The events in France, the beheadings of Americans by the Islamic State, and comparable events have begun to arouse interest and concern over whether the President is in fact a Muslim.

There is an Islamic doctrine known as “taqiyya” that permits Muslims to deny they are Muslim if it would be dangerous not to or to knowingly deceive infidels.

Despite the two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, in which the U.S. has sacrificed lives and money, Obama has pursued a policy of withdrawing our military presence, despite the fact that we have maintained our presence, for example, in South Korea since the 1950s and in Europe from the end of World War II. The result of the withdrawal from Iraq gave rise to the Islamic State and it is feared that a similar Taliban insurgency will begin as Afghanistan is left with too few military assets.

Has it been lost on anyone that releasing terrorist prisoners, taken on the battlefield, from Guantanamo has resulted in an estimated third of them returning to the battlefield? He returned five top terrorist leaders from Afghanistan in return for an American soldier deemed to have been a deserter. He has made no secret of his desire to close down the facility.

I hope that future historians don’t look back at our present time and conclude it was the worst of times to have a President so ardently devoted to Islam or a legion of other world leaders and media folk who refuse to identify the enemy as Muslim terrorists.

No other American President has ever been so partial to Islam and Muslims as Obama and it is not beyond the reach of logic or the imagination that he too is a Muslim.

Islam Kills Again – Tea Party Nation

Islam Kills Again – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

The news from Paris about the killing of twelve journalists highlights Islam’s war on the West that represents a fundamental truth about this cult of Mohammad.

Most are familiar with the Islamic schism between the majority Sunnis and the minority Shiites. It dates back to the very earliest days of Islam when the two groups disagreed over who should be the successor to Mohammad.

There is a new schism in Islam these days and it is between a moderate interpretation of Islam and fundamentalism. We have all seen what fundamentalism produces.

The past year had dramatic and tragic slaughters by the Islamic State (ISIS) in the Syrian-Iraqi area they control, the murder of more than 140 school children in Pakistan by the Taliban, and the kidnapping of 276 girls by Boko Haram in Nigeria. These acts represent a strict interpretation of Shia law based on the Koran.

That is why an address by Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, on New Year’s Day to clerics at Al-Azhar and the Awqaf Ministry is particularly significant. As reported by Raymond Ibrahim of the Middle East Forum, Sisi “a vocal supporter for a renewed vision of Islam, made what must be his most forceful and impassioned plea to date.”

His speech was a warning that “the corpus of (Islamic) texts and ideas that we have made sacred over the years” are “antagonizing the entire world.”

Referring to the 1.6 billion Muslims, Sisi said it is not possible that they “should want to kill the rest of the world’s inhabitants—that is 7 billion—so that they themselves may live.” Islam, said Sisi “is being torn, it is being destroyed, it is being lost—and it is being lost by our own hands.”

I cannot recall any other Islamic leader saying anything this bold and this true. Directly addressing the clerics, Sisi said “It’s inconceivable that the thinking that we hold most sacred should cause the entire umma (Islamic world) to be a source of anxiety, danger, killing and destruction for the rest of the world.” That is, of course, exactly what has been occurring.

Sisi called for “a religious revolution”, what Christians would call a reformation. “You, imams, are responsible before Allah. The entire world is waiting for your next move…”

Based on negotiations led by the U.S., the world is waiting to see what Iran, the home of the Islamic Revolution—the name given to the ayatollah’s movement that overthrew the Shah in 1979—will do in the face of demands that it cease its quest to produce its own nuclear weapons.

You don’t have to be a U.S. diplomat to know the answer to that. As Behnam Ben Taleblu of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies recently wrote, for decades the Iranian leadership has referred to “American Islam”, a term that describes what Iran “perceives to be a depoliticized perversion of the true faith, devoid of the revolutionary sentiment that guides the Islamic Republic.” Calling it “American” demonstrates their contempt for everything American.

The Iranians even apply the term to Muslim nations “deemed pliant before the will of superpowers like the United States.” In their view, they are the champions of “the pure Islam of Mohammad.” The Iranians are Shiites. As such, they are a minority sect within Islam, though a large one by any standard.

Those U.S. diplomats negotiating to get Iran to agree to cease pursuing the ability to construct their own nuclear weapons should read the memoirs of Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister and lead nuclear negotiator. As Taleblu notes, Zarif has a PhD from an American university, but he still wrote “We have a fundamental problem with the West and especially with America. This is because we are claimants of a mission, which has a global dimension.”

That mission is to impose Islam—their fundamental brand of it—on the entire world. That would get easier if they can threaten the world with nuclear weapons. Iran has been the leading sponsor of Islamic terror since its revolution in 1979.

The gap between Egyptian President Sisi’s concerns about the state of Islam today and the intention of fundamentalists like Zarif are a capsule version of what is occurring among Muslims throughout the world.

Islam is not inclined toward any form of modernity and most certainly not toward any form of personal freedom so the world has to remain watchful and, at this point, far less inclined to give its terrorists a pass with the claim they do not represent Islam.

The Religion of Peace at work again – Tea Party Nation

The Religion of Peace at work again – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

This morning, America awoke to the news of a horrifying attack in Paris.  Twelve people were killed in the attack.  By the standards of Islamic terrorism, that’s not a lot of people.  ISIS does that every few minutes.

This terror attack should scare the hell out of everyone in the West, not because of the death toll, which is bad enough.  The target should worry everyone.

From the Washington Times:

At least 12 were killed in a terrorist attack at a Paris newspaper known for taking satirical shots at the prophet Mohammed early Wednesday morning.

Among the killed were 10 newspaper staffers and two police officers, Fox News reported.

France President Francois Hollande is terming the attack — carried out by two men wearing masks and carting Kalashnikovs and a rocket launcher — an act of terror, Fox News reported.

Mr. Francois also said intelligence had thwarted and halted a number of terrorist plots in recent weeks, The Guardian reported.

His statement: “[France has experienced] an exceptional act of barbarism committed against a newspaper,” The Guardian said. He added that Paris was in “shock” and vowed to “fight these threats” and “punish the attackers.”

The city has gone on high alert, The Guardian reported.

Gunmen attacked the Paris offices of the Charlie Hebdo newspaper — the same publication that was firebombed years ago after printing a cartoon that poked fun at the Muslim prophet, Mohammed.

Benoit Bringer, a witness to Wednesday’s attack, told a media outlet in France: “Two black-hooded men entered the building with Kalashnikovs. A few minutes later, we heard lots of shots.”

National Review Online, meanwhile, reported tweets from witnesses, with one writing: “Several men in black cajoles were heard to shout ‘the Prophet has been avenged.’ “

Like all tyrannies, Islam cannot stand any dissent.  This attack was more than just an attack on a publication that had run satirical images of Mohammad.  It was also a warning to the free press in France and Europe.  If you publish something the Islamists don’t like, this is what will happen.

Some publications have wondered how France, European leaders and even Barack Obama will react.

Who cares?

How about how so-called Islamic leaders will react?  So far not a single one has denounced the attack or the killing of the cartoonists.  None has stood to defend their right of free expression.

This was more than just a terrorist attack. This was an attack on one of the core values of western civilization.  The death of twelve people his terrible.  What may be worse is the fact that the west has no leader willing to stand up to this terrorism.

Making Predictions – Tea Party Nation

Making Predictions – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Alan CarubaBy Alan Caruba

If there is one thing pundits like to do it is to make predictions. If they turn out to be right you can always look back and quote them as proof of your prescience and if they are not, you can always ignore them.

The best ones, of course, are those filled with doom and I suspect they are the most prevalent. We all live to some degree in fear of the future. It is, after all, unpredictable and we are conditioned to believe something awful will happen. That’s what keeps insurance companies in business. Governments continue to create problems and then promise to solve them.

For example, at some point there will be a huge earthquake in California thanks to the San Andreas Fault and in a comparable fashion the Yellowstone National Park will have an even bigger event due to a huge volcano that lies beneath it. The loss of life and economic impact will be historic no matter when they occur.

What is predictable will be natural events such as hurricanes and tornadoes, but what is largely unreported is that both have been occurring less in recent years. As Weather.com noted this year, “the Atlantic basin, which includes the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, produced the fewest tropical cyclones and fewest named storms since 1997.”  Worldwide, there are some 40,000 tornadoes and the U.S. averages some 1,200 a year. So the weather guarantees some unhappy news for some of us some of the time.

Blaming natural phenomenon on “global warming” which is not happening or on “climate change” which is always happening is the way the merchants of fear keep everyone scared of real and imaginary weather events. The planet has been in a natural cooling cycle for the past nineteen years because the Sun is in one as well, producing less radiation.

As for climate, it is measured in units as small as thirty years and as big as centuries and millenniums. Nothing mankind does has any impact. The Pope is wrong. The President is wrong. And lots of others who claim that climate change is an immediate threat.

What interests most people is the state of the economy and the good news is that it appears to be improving although relying on government issued statistics is problematic because they are often mathematically skewed to show a favorable trend. There is a natural dynamism to the U.S. economy which would be even greater if the government would eliminate the hundreds of thousands of regulations that interfere with the conduct of business and stop issuing more. Less taxation would boost the economy as well.

I am hopeful people will stop being taken in by the talk about “income inequality.” If the economy improves there will be jobs and the marketplace will determine the salaries they will pay. By contrast, legislating minimum wage increases reduces jobs. We’ve been watching machines replace humans for a long time now.

Elsewhere in the world, the economy is very iffy. The drop in the price of oil will have a dramatic impact on nations whose economies are dependent on it. The Russian Federation will likely be less aggressive with neighboring nations. Venezuela is already in a world of trouble. The Middle East will feel its impact as well. The reason traces back to the increase in the technology of hydraulic fracturing, otherwise known as fracking. It had its beginnings in 1947 and today it is unlocking huge amounts of oil and natural gas. It will make the U.S. energy independent and that’s a very good thing. It will also continue to generate jobs and revenue.

Will there be wars in the world? The short answer is that there will always be conflicts because that is the nature of the world. Wars are very expensive and most nations want to avoid them. The big problem in 2015 will focus on two nations. North Korea is led by a mentally unstable dictator, a threat to others in its region thanks to its nuclear weapons, missiles, and huge army. Iran will be a threat if it is allowed to acquire the ability to make its own nuclear weapons. When that happens the threat level to Israel and the U.S. increases, along with every other nation its missiles can destroy.

What is entirely predictable will be the horrific attacks of Islam’s “holy war” on all other religions and, testimony to its lack of internal cohesion, its attacks based on whether Muslims are Sunni or Shiite.

It would be nice to predict that science will find cures to many of the ills of mankind and the fact is that it has been doing that for much of the last century and will continue to do so in this one. In 1973, life expectancy in the U.S. was 71 years of age and it is now up to 78. In much of the world people are living longer and that is having some interesting demographic impacts in nations that are trying to cope with providing care for a growing older generation.

In the sphere of U.S. politics the most encouraging trend as seen in the last two midterm elections has been voters—those who actually show up and vote—toward conservatism. The Republican Party has regained control of the Senate and expanded its control of the House. The majority of U.S. states have Republican governors. The Tea Party has played a significant role in this, but it is a movement and will continue to take the lead in seeking to reduce the size of the federal government that is far too large for a society based on the idea of freedom and liberty. In what is likely to be an increasing bipartisan effort, the new Congress will work to control as much as possible the damage Obama seeks to inflict.

It takes no great prescience to predict that Barack Hussein Obama will spend his remaining two years in office doing what his Communist roots and ideology has trained him to do; stir as much racial divisiveness as possible, encourage more illegal immigration, keep the increasingly unpopular ObamaCare alive, undermine our moral structure, degrade our military strength, and other such mischief.

Two years sounds like a long time, but he will be gone by January 20, 2017 when a new President takes the oath of office that he has ignored. One prediction about him is easy. He will be judged the worst President the nation has had and, in fact, that judgment has already been rendered.

What is not predictable are the directions the U.S. Supreme Court will take the nation in 2015. Despite its august name, it has made some supremely bad decisions in the past. Wouldn’t it be nice if it undermined ObamaCare after having helped inflict it on a health system that was the best in the world and is now suffering greatly from it?

If any of my predictions turn out to be true, I will claim bragging rights, but mostly what I intend to do is maintain my personal sense of hope, sensing that more people worldwide are discovering that others share their desire for less corruption and more freedom.

Peace on Earth? I Don’t Think So – Tea Party Nation

Peace on Earth? I Don’t Think So – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

Around the world millions of Christians joined together to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to pray for “peace on Earth, good will toward men.”

The 2015 World Almanac puts the number of Christians in the world at 2,347,171,000, by far the largest group sharing the same spiritual beliefs. It puts the number of Muslims at 1,633,173,000. Of the seven billion residents of planet Earth, more than six billion identify themselves as part of one of the many different faiths, to include Hindu, Buddhist, and others.

As it has for 1,400 years, Islam continues to pose the greatest threat to peace on Earth and is not displaying much good will even toward other Muslims. A website, TheReligionofPeace.com maintains an on-going, virtually daily record of those slaughtered around the world in the name of Islam and Allah.

The killing is daily, but earlier this month, Canon Andrew White, a clergyman known as the ‘vicar of Baghdad’, reported that Islamic State militant Islamists had beheaded four Iraqi Christian children, all under the age of 15, for refusing to convert to Islam. The barbarity of the ISIS killings and the numbers of others by Islamists add up to a record of atrocities that rival any in history.

The silence from Muslims condemns this so-called religion.

The genocide of the Jews in the last century is matched by the genocide of Christians that is continuing in this one.

The human price paid for the Islamic fascism currently adds up to more than 57 million displaced refugees in 22 countries, a humanitarian disaster equal to the entire population of Great Britain. The UN’s emergency aid chief is asking for $16 billion in funding to address the crisis of the conflicts in Syria, Iraq, and South Sudan, in addition to places like the Central African Republic, Somalia, and Ukraine.

There are other events that undermine the prospect of peace. One need only watch as Western nations attempt to negotiate a deal to stop Iran from making nuclear weapons. It is an exercise in futility. Iran is tempting an attack from those nations that understand the enormity of the threat that represents. The Obama administration seems oblivious to it.

Europe is concerned about the threat that the Russian Federation poses with its intent to split eastern Ukraine off from its western half. Former Soviet satellite nations are also concerned about Russian nationalism and the desire to reclaim its former empire. While not overtly aggressive, the West and Asian nations in China’s sphere of influence worry about its intentions too and, as always, North Korea continues to threaten its neighbors.

All this is happening as the residents of planet Earth are gaining the increasing ability to communicate with one another via the Internet, to learn about the events affecting their lives and others, and, as in the case of the “Arab Spring”, to come together to overthrow dictators in an effort to establish governments that provide more freedom and justice. It transformed Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia to name just three nations affected by it. In Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood was ousted from power, outlawed, and is under attack these days in the Sinai.

In the United States there has been a dramatic political shift from the progressive policies of the Obama administration to a growing conservatism opposing ObamaCare, amnesty, and attacks on the nation’s energy sector. When right-wing Republican and left-wing Democrats joined together to oppose elements of the $1.1 budget, something significant is occurring. As 2015 dawns, a Congress controlled by the Republican Party will have to demonstrate that it reflects the will of the people who put it in power.

What has caught many Americans by surprise is the utter contempt with which they were held by the Obama administration and its leaders, from the President on down, who deliberately lied to voters and regarded them as “stupid.”

Politics in America does not generate peace even within the two parties, but this exercise in democracy is a worldwide phenomenon except in nations still rule by despots and monarchs. It is a healthy republic in which issues are vigorously debated.

Peace on Earth is a noble aspiration and one for which I suspect the vast population of the Earth yearns. It is threatened by the vanity, greed, and desire for power that too often defines the leaders of large bodies of people who are themselves threatened by such men. Peace needs to be pursued because the alternative is Hell on Earth.

We are warned: They are coming. – Tea Party Nation

We are warned: They are coming.

– Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

Many Americans ignore what is going on in the Middle East.  While they are horrified by the atrocities of ISIS, they ignore it because after all, Iraq is so far away.

Be warned.  They are coming. There are thousands of foreign fighters, including Americans fighting for ISIS.  And if anyone thinks they are suddenly going to become peaceful little lambs when they return home is simply delusional.

From Breitbart:

The Islamic State (IS/ISIS/ISIL) granted approval to a German journalist to live side by side with the jihadist outfit for ten days. He is the first known Western journalist to have been given access to the Islamic State without being executed. He warned that Western perceptions of ISIS are off-base because they are “much stronger and much more dangerous” than we are led to believe, according to Germany’s DW news English translation.

German journalist Jurgen Todenhofer traveled to the ISIS-stronghold city of Mosul, Iraq, accompanied by his cameraman son, who was allowed to film interviews with a number of jihadis.

He revealed that support for ISIS is “an almost ecstatic enthusiasm that I have never encountered in any other war zone,” reverberating Breitbart’s reporting that Sunni-backed resistance to ISIS remains rare.

Todenhofer said that on a daily basis, hundreds of ISIS recruits come to the Middle East from around the world to join the jihad. He warned that ISIS was now plotting “the biggest religious cleansing in history.”

He was very much aware of the fate suffered by American journalist James Foley, whom the Islamic State beheaded several months ago. “Of course, I have seen the terrible, brutal video and it was one of my main concerns during the negotiations as to how I can avoid [the same end],” stated Todenhofer. He said that he slept alongside the ISIS militants in makeshift military installations created from “the shells of bombed-out houses.”

Unfortunately for America, we have a President who is cheering for the enemy.  Barack Obama is doing everything in his power to help ISIS.

ISIS needs to be destroyed by the American military while we still can.

But for that we need leadership and America’s leadership is cheering for the enemy.

A Real Agenda for the GOP Congress – Tea Party Nation

A Real Agenda for the GOP Congress – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

Clearly President Obama did not get the message the voters sent in the November midterm elections, electing enough Republican Senators to shift power in the Senate and to increase it in the House. Many Presidents in their second term encounter this shift, particularly if they are seen by the voters to be incompetent in some respect.

Writing in the December 9 edition of National Review, Henry Olsen, reminded readers that ‘wave elections” do not guarantee victories to come. “In each previous case—1946, 1994, 2010—a Democrat held the White House and Republicans thought the wave presaged his subsequent defeat. Each time, however, the Democrat won reelection relatively easily.” The GOP can only give thanks Obama cannot run in 2016, but no one should count out Hillary Clinton at this point.

Shortly after the November 4 elections Obama told the nation he heard those who voted, but also those who did not. What Obama heard, however, was that he should rewrite immigration laws. Investigative reporter Jerome R. Corsi, writing in World Net Daily, says no executive order has been issued, but rather that the Department of Homeland Security has been told to issue work permits and avoid deportations of illegal aliens.

One might have thought that the GOP got the message in 2012 from those Republicans who stayed home and thereby let Obama remain in office. Apparently politicians only hear what they want to. The polls indicate that Americans do not like ObamaCare and want it repealed, and that they do not want Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty actions acted upon.

On Wednesday, December 3, House and Senate Republicans, supported by the Tea Party, joined with grassroots activists to denounce Obama’s unilateral amnesty efforts. Among those participating in the TeaParty.net event were Senator Ted Cruz, Representatives Steve King, Michele Bachman, Louis Gohmert, Tim Huelskamp, and Curt Clawson. Also participating was Niger Innis, Executive Director of TeaParty.net.

As reported by the Tea Party News Network, the problem is “many moderates appear to be going soft on the issue” of illegal immigration “as Speaker of the House John Boehner works to try and avoid a government showdown between Democrats and Republicans.”

The reported compromise is a budget bill that funds the government through to September 2015, but the Department of Homeland Security only through March to permit the new Congress to take some action on the amnesty issue.

Innis noted that the Tea Party has 2.5 million members and warned “If the Republican leadership tacitly colludes with the President, then they will have betrayed the voters who elected them and will pay the price at the ballot box. It’s shocking that Republicans would even contemplate preemptive surrender before the new Congress even convenes.”

Realistically, however, House Speaker Boehner cannot order Republican Representatives to vote as the Tea Party would prefer. Voters tend to assume that there is party unity among the House Republicans, but in reality they vote their own political interest and those range from liberal to conservative. It is, however, worth remembering that not one Republican in Congress voted for Obamacare.

On December 3, The Daily Caller’s White House correspondent, Neil Munro, reported that he had heard that “House Speaker John Boehner will ask Rep. Nancy Pelosi to help him overcome ‘snowballing’ GOP opposition to the GOP leadership’s draft 2015 government budget bill” which would fund the entire government for 2015” and “makes merely token efforts to stop President Obama’s agencies from implementing his unpopular amnesty, according to rank-and-file GOP legislators.”

On the day after the November 4 midterm elections, The Washington Post, reported that “This will be the most dominant Republican Congress since 1929, with an almost-certain 8 percent majority in the Senate and an 11.7 to 17.7 percent majority in the House. That trumps the party’s 6.3/13.3 percent majorities in the 80th Congress that began in 1947.”

Dominant in numbers, but is the GOP leadership acting hesitantly regarding either amnesty issues or the repeal of ObamaCare? It’s more like that are acting pragmatically, realistically. They know that Obama would veto such legislation. Symbolic votes are not useful. Practical politics that accomplish real goals is.

I believe that Congressional Republicans have decided to let the courts deal with the issue of Obama’s unconstitutional over-reach. On December 3, CNS News reported that “A coalition of seventeen states have joined together to file a suit against the Obama administration.” The states are mostly southern and Midwestern. In addition, law suits opposing ObamaCare are also making their way through the courts.

One cannot blame the voters for being angry and impatient.

On November 25, Rasmussen Reports said of its latest survey regarding Congress, “Even though they just voted for a new Republican majority, voters still give Congress dismal marks and the majority believes members get re-elected because the system is rigged.” The survey found that “just eight percent (8%) of likely U.S. voters rate Congress’s performance as good or excellent. Sixty-four percent (64%) rate their performance as poor, also in line with earlier surveys.”

As the new GOP-controlled Congress takes over in January, Republicans should hope that it will begin to simplify the tax code, cut spending, reduce the huge national debt, aid the growth of the energy sector, and crack down on rogue agencies. That would be a good start toward electing a Republican President in 2016.

By Craig Andresen – The National Patriot and Right Side Patriots on cprworldwidemedia.com

tnp eagleDear Republican Members of the United States 114th Congress,

You were elected by this nation’s largest and most influential entity…We the People…on November 4th, 2014. Please substitute the word “HIRED” for the word…”ELECTED.”

WE want YOU to know that YOU work for US…not the other way around and if you fail to do what WE have HIRED you to do…WE…will fire…YOU.

Let’s start with our borders.

SEAL THEM UP. This is the United States of America and our laws do NOT allow trespassing by those who are not on the guest list so shut those borders down. Enforce the existing laws regarding deportation of ILLEGAL ALIENS and build a damn fence…guard it…electrify it if need be to keep those whom you deport as well as those trying to take from us what is ours, from sneaking into our country.

There ARE legal ways of coming to this country and all who respect those means are more than welcome to be here. That system needs work…streamlining…do that but not until after you have shut the border down.

Got it?

Next…

Change the rules of engagement for our military and quit sending our men and women to win the hearts and minds of those who want us all dead.flg 1

Define our enemies and kill them. Don’t leave the theater until the job is done and leave a few Members of our military there to maintain the peace.

Don’t worry about collateral damage or offending those with a 7th century mentality. They don’t worry about offending us and they don’t give a damn about collateral damage either.

Seek them out…destroy their ability to spread and…kill them.

QUIT sending OUR money to countries that want to KILL us!!! Support our FRIENDS around the world…help those who need medicine or have been harmed by forces or others out of their control but…ENOUGH WITH SENDING OUR MONEY TO THOSE WHO WANT US AND OUR ALLIES DEAD!!!

For instance…no more money for “Palestine.” in the first place…there is no Palestine and in the second place…all they do with it is give it to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood who are trying like hell to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews. ISRAEL AND THE JEWS ARE OUR FRIENDS…HAMAS AND THE “PALESTINIANS” ARE OUR ENEMIES.

Knock that crap off.

Obamacare…

Repeal it…defund it…get rid of it. It’s socialism. It is bleeding us dry and the quality of our healthcare is already going down the toilet. It’s not what we were promised…not at all what we need and certainly not what we want.

Obamacare is based on lies, was passed with bribes and has been altered by mandate without consent of congress ever since.

It’s rife with fraud and it leaves We the People open to identity theft while it is driving UP the cost of healthcare, deductibles and prescriptions.

Do whatever needs to bflg 2e done to get Obamacare OUT of our lives.

Energy…

BUILD THAT DAMN KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE!!!

The cost of a gallon of gas has been dropping but NOT because of anything done by this current regime. It’s because PRIVATE companies are drilling and retrieving gas from oil shale in North Dakota on PRIVATE land and OPEC is flooding the market because they’re pissing in their pants over the fact we are producing more of our own energy so…ENOUGH WITH THE “SKY-IS-FALLING” EPA REGULATIONS…DRILL SOME MORE HOLES AND OPEN UP GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED LAND TO DO IT!!!

>FYI: Nowhere in the constitution does it allow for Federal land ownership. The Feds only need D.C. and military bases. All the rest belongs to their respective States and We the People!!!<

Between getting oil to our southern refineries via that pipeline from our FRIENDS in Canada and tapping our own oil at HOME…we can become energy INDEPENDENT in a few years so…DO IT and while you’re at it…USE OUR MONEY TO SUPPORT CLEAN COAL AND STOP THROWING IT AWAY ON UNAFFORDABLE GREEN ENERGY THAT DOESN’T WORK or is unaffordable!!!flg 3

We HIRED you to get these things done so DO them.

Defund and shut down the Department of Education.

They’re too butt stupid to be on our payroll and they’re making our kids stupid by osmosis. Stupid kids become stupid adults and the last thing we need of our next generation is a bunch of stupid adults in charge of everything that are so damn fragile that their feelings get hurt if they’re not allowed to believe that 2+2=17.

Trust me…they’ll feel a lot better when they LEARN 2+2=4 and they’ll be an ASSET to society later in life.

flg 4Make it ILLEGAL for unions to FORCE membership on workers. If the unions are worthy, workers will join them. If not, they won’t but it should be THEIR CHOICE whether or not they JOIN a union and if union rolls drop and they can’t sustain themselves then guess what? They must not have been worth crap to begin with.

Quit using our money to fund abortion clinics. It’s not healthcare and both you and they damn well know it. Let those who support the practice donate THEIR money to them and quit making those who DON’T support the practice PAY for it.

Liberals are always squealing about being “fair” and well…THAT’S fair.

Clear off Harry Reid’s desk. There are more than 365 bills…PASSED by the 113th House sitting there because HE wouldn’t allow them to come to the senate floor for a vote. PUT THEM ON THE FLOOR AND VOTE ON THEM…pass them and send them to the Lame Ducktator. If he VETOS them…try to OVERRIDE the vetos and if that doesn’t work we won’t blame YOU but we WILL replace HIM.

CUT THE BUDGET!!!

Too much of OUR money is being wasted…spent on pet project CRAP and we DON’T need to know how fast a SHRIMP can run on a treadmill. CUT the stuff we don’t need. CLOSE any and ALL government offices who have a long history of WASTING our money.
Use that money to invest in our MILITARY as THAT is an investment in FREEDOM and LIBERTY that WILL pay dividends for our children who know that 2+2=4 and their children as well.

The Obama scandals…

Where do I start?

Go full on, in his grill DEEP with the investigations into Fast and Furious…Benghazi…the flg 6IRS and the spying. SUBPOENA HIS NARROW ASS…HILLARY’S WIDE ASS…HOLDER’S ASS…LEARNERS ASS and all the rest of the asses…THERE IS TREASON THERE…IMPEACH HIM AND ARREST HIM!!! ARREST THEM ALL and put them on trial.

Make it known that now that YOU hold sway in the House AND in the senate…whistle blowers have nothing to fear. THEY WILL BE PROTECTED and WE need to know the TRUTH.

DO…NOT…COMPROMISE…with liberals.

DON’T DO IT!!!

There is NOTHING that they have done over the last 6 years while this regime has been in place that has been good for America. Not one damn thing. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY QUARTER…NOT ONE INCH!!!

We hired YOU to stand UP to them and to undo the damage they have brought upon our nation.

If what they want…SOCIALISM…had been working…YOU wouldn’t have been hired to FIX it.

Tell the “Constitutional Law Professor” to keep his damn hands OFF our guns…give us our privacy and stay the hell out of our religious faiths. We will stand with the Constitution and our founding documents even if he doesn’t and YOU would be wise to stand with US.

And finally…

Don’t lie to us. We’re in no mood to be lied to. Tell us the truth…not whFLG 8at you think we want to hear because when you start doing that, you’ll say one thing to this group and another to that group. We can smell bullshit upwind from a mile away.

Our founders and framers entrusted to us a short leash upon which you are to be tethered and we will honor that trust. They entrusted us to remain engaged and to hold you accountable. We will honor those trusts too.

Many of you who were hired were not the first choice of many Conservatives and we have the clothes pins to prove it but you would not be where you are today were it not for us. You know it and so do we.

Know that if you fail to deliver…if you fail to be honest and trustworthy employees of We the People…we will fire you and find more suitable replacements.

This coming January, you will be sworn in. You will vow to uphold and defend the Constitution and we will be watching…every day…to make sure you do.

Remember…the same people who sent you to Washington can send you packing.

Fellow Americans…if you agree with this letter, I encourage you to sign your name and your state in thecraig 1 comment box below and forward the link to this letter to as many Members of Congress as you feel need to read it.

I will sign it here!!!

I would add kicking the U.N. out of the USA and resigning from that useless organization!

Abolishing the Dept. of Energy, and by extension the EPA. These are State, not Federal functions! Check your Constitution.

A Time To Clash: Why Obama Will Be Driven From Office | Doug Giles | #ClashDaily.

Shazam! I recently wrote of an impending “Democrat bloodbath” in the mid-term elections, but even I didn’t expect the wild and complete revolution that just took place across this land.  The full-blown blitzkrieg to victory for Republicans unfolded in so many places and on so many levels that one has to take a minute or so to reflect on what actually happened, why, and what is to follow.  My prediction is that Joe Biden will remain, like a drunken old motel night clerk, to run out the clock on this grisly abortion of an alleged presidency.  Obama will be gone before his second term is fulfilled.

The obstinately arrogant Obama is signalling a final showdown with Ted Cruz’ revitalized and reinforced Tea Party coalition over, among other things, Obama’s proposed executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.  It is an ultimate-stakes game of political “chicken” which will force congress to remove a perversely delusional, power-mad president.

110

It’s easy to make such a bold and provocative prediction, especially when one is a relatively obscure writer and therefore will suffer no great loss of reputation, property, or prospects if one is wrong.  However, I find the forecast reasonable, and have reasoned it out.  Through his continued lawlessness, Obama will flippantly dare congress to impeach him, and despite not really wanting to do it, they will have to.

A reporter’s question to Obama on the day after the electoral slaughter stands out as telling.  CNN Senior White House Correspondent Jim Acosta pulled no punches, confronting Obama by saying:  “I know you don’t want to read the tea leaves, but it is a fact that your party rejected you in these midterms.  By and large, they did not want you out on the campaign trail in those key battleground states.  How do you account for that?”  Of course, in his rambling reply, and true to his pathologically dishonest character, Obama proceeded to pretend that any such thing happened.

Not finished

It did happen.  A vast plurality of Democrats themselves finally know that they have backed a smooth and excitingly novel yet incompetent, inferior criminal fraud all along, and not even their party’s usual amount of cheating and race-baiting could counter the flood of millions of rampaging Republicans who swarmed to the polls to turn the Democrats’ former messiah — via most of his accomplices running as proxies — into electoral roadkill.  Who knows just how many of the Democrat rank-and-file actually switched and voted Republican this time, but we can be certain that millions of them just stayed home; didn’t vote at all, either out of demoralized resignation, or, in the cases of millions of Obama’s young and minority base, oblivious ignorance and that an election was even taking place.

In the absence of months-long media frenzies, nationally televised debates, and classroom discussions about an impending presidential election, the average yahoo on the street really has no clue that midterm elections even occur.  Hence, those in the upper IQ ranges and having a seasoned awareness of politics are the ones who mainly turn out to vote in midterms (I admit that when I was much younger and much less interested in politics, I didn’t vote in midterm elections myself, that I can recall).

That dynamic is largely what gave Republicans the green light to now do whatever they see fit to do, in terms of stopping Obama’s anti-American lawlessness and subversion.  They now have the power to utterly thwart Obama.  They must use it, because he will leave them little choice.  They cannot fool themselves nor the country into thinking Obama is interested in cooperation.  They should have learned that from the way Obamacare was violently rammed down the country’s throats.

Obama, being an “all-in” radical ideologue of the type described in social philosopher Eric Hoffer’s book The True Believer, has telegraphed his radical intentions since day one.  He has succeeded in pushing through on many of them.  He shows no signs of relenting now.  As notoriously quoted in the title of Hillary Rodham’s senior thesis at Wellesley College, adherents (as we know Obama to be one) of Saul Alinsky’s radical left-wing “community organizing” principles believe, in their politics, “There Is Only The Fight.”

Image

For Obama, despite an electoral revolution and full-blown rejection of him and his policies, there is no new spirit of kumbayah reconciliation and working things out with Republicans.  There is only the fight.

Lately, Obama has repeated again and again his plans to try to enact amnesty for millions and millions of illegal aliens by executive fiat, ignoring congress and the will of the people.  Americans are overwhelmingly against wholesale amnesty for illegals, executive or legislative.  But Obama sees this as perhaps his last chance to finish the job of wrecking America as we once knew America, on behalf of those he sees as deserving of the spoils.  As he has shown us over and over and over again, Obama does not care one bit about finding compromise with opponents within the legal framework of the Constitution.  Republican statesmen in general have expressed their reluctance to initiate impeachment against him, for reasons both stated and unstated, and that fact only helps fuel his belligerent defiance.  However, key players have gone on record saying that they’ll do it if they must.  My declaration is that the ISIS Apologist-in-Chief and Reconquistador-in-Chief Obama, despite refusing to know his place in the new political equation, and even though many others speak as if it’s time for Republicans to play nicey-nicey with him and with his largely unrepentant fixers to “get things done,” is finished.  He will provoke his own end.  He’s been given far too much leeway already, anyhow.  It’s just a matter of time, and of procedural ugliness, until he is removed.  Once that happens, Ted Cruz’ and Trey Gowdy’s ad-hoc coalition government of allies and ambivalent RINO figureheads will be able to at least macro-manage the addled whackjob Biden until January of 2017.  John Boehner and Mitch McConnell, if they remain the nominal leaders of their respective legislative bodies will merely be dragged along.  We all know Ted Cruz is the real president of the United States.

Whether Obama’s ouster will happen by his own sudden resignation in the face of impending impeachment (as with Richard Nixon), or will result from formal impeachment and conviction, I cannot say.  I do think, however, that Obama will be driven out by those whose job it is to remedy his high crimes and misdemeanors.  He will be removed like a cancerous tumor, because he will continue to act as he has thus far — according to his nature.
