Daniel Greenfield: Day 1 » Politichicks.com

By Daniel Greenfield January 24, 2017

Screen Shot 2017-01-23 at 8.00.07 AMIn the first days of 2017, Washington D.C. was empty. It was a city holding its breath. Secret Service police officers in balaclavas waited at the White House as a black SUV carrying departing staffers passed. It had not been so long ago that they came into the city as if they owned it and the entire country. Now the same men and women who ran and ruined the lives of millions were scrolling through job postings on their smartphones. They watched Obama speak from faded screens at sports bars and they cried.

They knew it was coming. Day 1.

The parties and the protests are underway. Hundreds of thousands of Americans and anti-Americans have converged on the city: Tea Party housewives from Milwaukee suburbs and snarling Marxists from the ANSWER coalition, small businessmen from Houston and Berkeley J20ers outshouting the schizophrenic homeless panhandlers at Union Station.

While Trump and Pence are at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Black Lives Matter will be howling abuse at D.C.’s black police officers at Metropolitan Police Headquarters. As Trump takes his oath of office, the Future is Feminist Counterinaugural Action will try to disrupt the event with their “bodies.” As Trump speaks to unify America, leftist protesters plan to smoke pot on the National Mall.

They can’t stop what’s coming. And they know it. The crying Obama staffers loading boxes into their cars and the Marxists biting their lips as they color in their signs on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial feel it. The pundits of the Post, the non-profit parasites and the entire cocktail party circuit can sense it.

Day 1 is more than just a day. It’s the end of an era. It’s the end of Obama.

Berlin, November, 1989. Moscow, August, 1991. Washington D.C., January, 2017. That’s the closest you can come to describing it. It’s the fall of an evil empire. There are breaths of fresh air as the cleansing rain washes away eight years of oppression, lies and corruption into the sewers of the city.

Day 1.8-years

Trump has executive orders ready to go. While the ceremonies run their course, real change is already underway. The parade that matters is the slow march of Obama’s minions leaving and Trump’s people coming in. The transition began as a trickle, a few here and there, but is swiftly becoming a takeover.

The “landing team members” have moved in. And Obama’s people are moving out to be replaced by “beachhead teams”. What started with dozens and then hundreds will become thousands. These clashing armies wear uniforms of black suits and skirts. They wield smartphones and task lists. And they run the country.

That’s what the “peaceful transition of power” touted by Obama really means. A force of men and women the size of a small army will depart and another will arrive and take their place. They will do it without a shot being fired. The transition will not be entirely peaceful. The mobs of protesters will see to that. And the boycott of the inauguration by House Democrats is a rejection of that transition of power.

The roadblocks, barricades and fences are there to block the radical left’s plots to physically shut down the inauguration. Meanwhile their political allies in Congress are building roadblocks and barricades to jam up Trump’s nominees in endless committee sessions and hearings.

They can’t stop Day 1. But they are doing everything that they possibly can to slow it down.

Their battle plan is to confirm as few of Trump’s people as possible. The longer it takes to get new leaders into place, the longer it will take those leaders to bring in new people to make reforms. The endless hearings aren’t just political theater. They are an organized effort by the left to retain control of the government for as long as possible while tangling Trump’s agenda in red tape right from the start.

The protesters and the politicians have the same agenda. They want to stop reform from Day 1.

Walk past the White House, a modest building, serene and gracious with all the attention of the world on it, over to the monstrosity that Mark Twain once dubbed “the ugliest building in America.”

The Eisenhower Executive Office Building, that pile of Second Empire mansard roofs and porticoes, which looks as if Napoleon III had set up shop in the heart of our national government, is where the patriots struggling to overthrow another progressive unconstitutional emperor will mobilize.

Forget the balls. The truly fancy footwork will happen as Trump’s beachhead teams try to take over parts of the government. And the real protests won’t be the freak shows with giant signs, mock heads, pink costumes and joints. It will be a grim battle fought in the undercity of the bureaucracy.

And it will be an unrelenting battle that will go on for years.shrimp

While Trump takes his oath of office, moving trucks will be transporting the Obama occupation out of the White House. The first of the moving vans has already come and gone. And when all the moving trucks have transported away the last of the occupation, a new wind will blow through the White House.

Despite the roadblocks and the sabotage, Day 1 is coming.

Team Trump is ahead of schedule and under budget. A fifth of the funds are even being returned. When all the t-shirts are sold and the flyers are carried away in trash bags, there will be a new government.

And for the first time in eight years, it will be an American government.

That is what Day 1 really means. Not an era, but an error has ended. Day 1 means the restoration of freedom and the end of tyranny. It means security at home and respect abroad. It means change.

There were those who celebrated and those who mourned the fall of the USSR. So too there are those who celebrate and those who mourn the end of Obama. The tears of leftist hipsters crying over Obama are no different than those of the old women holding up Stalin’s portrait on May Day in the Red Square.

As the day ends with the Liberty and Freedom Ball, millions will celebrate because these words have meaning once again. They will celebrate because they have been liberated and now they are free.

Day 1 means many things to many people. Most of all it means that millions have reason to hope.

After midnight, in the last days of the last year, I stood at the Lincoln Memorial. Though millions visit it, the vast space was empty. The first Republican president watched over Washington D.C. in silence.

Or almost empty.

A large rat scurried down the steps and vanished into the shadows. Mr. Lincoln watched it go. As he now watches Obama depart.

Gun Control, Terror Watchlist — The NRA and the Rule of Law

By Dave Dolbee published on June 30, 2016 in News

America witnessed a remarkable and telling legislative showdown last week that revolved around a very simple concept underlying American democracy. That concept is due process. Some were willing to discard it for the sake of politics and the illusion of safety. Others were not. Here is what the NRA had to say about it:

Senate Judiciary Committee

Unable to sway the Congress to enact his gun control agenda, the president is trying to upset the Founding Father’s system of checks and balances by going it alone.

A series of untenable gun control proposals – some which would have placed your Second Amendment rights at the mercy of bureaucratic fiat, black lists, and secret “evidence” – were defeated.

But the degree to which some were willing to abandon foundational principles for short-term and self-serving political gain should serve as a sobering reminder to all that American freedom is not free and that we should never think our government will simply default to it. The Founders understood that, which is why we have a written Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Proponents of gun control tried to portray the showdown as being over those who wanted terrorists to have guns and those who don’t. Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), a gun control standard-bearer, disgraced the dignity of his office by claiming “Republicans have decided to sell weapons to ISIS.”

Think about how ridiculous that statement is.

And it becomes all the more ridiculous in light of how strenuously President Obama, who embodies the values and agenda of Murphy’s politics, tried to deflect the blame for the Orlando terrorist attack away from radical Islamic jihad, the asserted basis of the attacker himself.

I am a bill cartoon

While the defenders of the Second Amendment have seen significant victories over the past year a couple of recent losses are troubling.

Obama loyalists desperately tried to portray NRA and the Second Amendment as the culprits in the Orlando attacks. During a series of publicity stunts – including Murphy’s “filibuster” on the Senate Floor and a “sit-in” by members of Congress on the House Floor – America heard again and again that gun control is now a matter of national security.

During times of fear and crisis, it’s easy to forget what we’re about as a country. It’s natural for opportunistic and ambitious politicians to grab more power for themselves. It’s natural for entrenched authority to demonize opposition and try to suppress dissent. We saw all of that this past week.

But America has always tried to be better than that, which is why the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. It is greater than any individual. It is mightier than any institution. And it states that no person shall be “deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law ….” Whatever else Obama, Murphy, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and their surrogates in the media tried to make this past week’s contentious legislative efforts about, that’s what was at stake.

The government cannot arbitrarily deny or withhold rights. When someone’s life, liberty, or property is at stake, the person has a right to notice and the opportunity to respond, and the government bears the burden of making its case before a neutral decision-maker as to why its actions are justified. Without these simple principles, we are not a country of laws.

But that was too much for Feinstein, Murphy, and their anti-gun Senate colleagues. They would settle for nothing less than giving bureaucrats the authority to deny gun purchases at will, without any proving of their case. They would not stand (literally, in the case of their House counterparts) to require the government, if it were later sued over the deprivation, to have to prove anything other than a basis for its own “reasonable suspicion” against the individual. The want to let the government, in other words, retroactively rationalize its decision to abolish a fundamental right – not by actually proving a person is somehow a public safety risk because of nexus to terrorism – but by demonstrating it was not “unreasonable” in “suspecting” so at the time.

05 itshouldnotbecalledguncontrol

That’s not due process.

Make no mistake, the NRA does not want terrorists to have legal – or illegal – access to firearms.  NRA members have fought and died in the war on terror so we take a backseat to no one when it comes to national security.

Freedom endured this week in the U.S. Senate, but it would not have been possible without the dedication of NRA members who were willing to stand up and contact their elected officials in the face of this latest threat.  NRA members flooded Congressional switchboards in just a few short days, and it worked.  Your continued vigilance has always been what makes the NRA the strongest civil rights organization in the world.

At the same time, our victory would not have been possible without the Second Amendment leadership of Senators John Cornyn (R-TX) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA).  Both senators introduced legislation to protect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners and worked tirelessly against passage of the gun control legislation introduced by Feinstein, Murphy, and others.  We could not have been successful without them.

But let’s be careful to not consider the battle over.  The Senate will remain in session this coming week, so your continued pressure is needed.  Gun control proposals could go well beyond the amendments that were voted on last week, so please contact your U.S. Senators and your U.S. Representative immediately and let them know you oppose any new gun control measures. You can call your lawmakers at 202-224-3121 or click here to Take Action.

Did the NRA get it right? What will you do to defeat future gun control measures and support the Second Amendment? Share your plans in the comment section.

Putin’s Military Intervention in Syria Exposing Obama TREASON – Freedom Outpost

Putin’s Military Intervention in Syria Exposing Obama TREASON

A huge firestorm is brewing for the Obama regime and all those in Washington who supported his decision to arm, send billions of dollars to, train militarily, and help on the battlefield to terrorist organizations in Syria who are now known as ISIS.

Since Russia’s Vladimir Putin decided to help the Bashar Assad government in Syria get rid of the rebels, who are now ISIS, more and more evidence is turning up on a daily basis to prove that the Obama regime has been solely responsible all along for the creation, support, and training of this radical Islamist terrorist group

In the few weeks Russia has been fighting Obama’s army in Syria, we have learned through the Russian military the extent of support the US has been providing this terrorist organization. First of all, the Obama administration supplied ISIS with perhaps hundreds of Toyota Hilux trucks, although the official number is at 43 trucks, an obvious gross under estimate.

Secondly, we have actual US military dropping supplies and weapons to ISIS under the guise of mistaken air drops.

Thirdly, the US has been fighting the Assad government, not ISIS.

Many will remember Obama’s push to bomb the Assad government in Syria in 2012 to help terrorist factions overthrow the legitimate Syrian government. Since he could not garner the support for it, he openly began to support them in every way possible, in doing so the US clandestine agencies formed what is now known as ISIS. Make no mistake, there are absolutely no “moderate” terrorist factions the US is supporting in Syria, they are all what the name implies, terrorists.

To the time of this writing, the Obama Administration continues to openly support terrorist groups in Syria.

With this in mind, we are now fighting a proxy war with Russia because the Obama Administration refuses to stop supporting terrorist organizations around the world. The fact that the US began supporting radical Islam under President Obama should show us that we are now under the power of a rouge government, completely separate from the people, laws, and morals of what the United States is supposed to stand for.

We can see that the Federal government isn’t concerned with any terrorist threat in the fact that we have an open border with Mexico, if they were, this would not be so.

The NSA’s domestic spying program is completely designed to keep tabs on Americans and has nothing to do with monitoring international terrorist organizations. The rouge US government would have to have such a program to keep tabs on Patriotic Americans who will someday get fed up and take matters in their own hands in the form of civil unrest and all-out war.

The relentless push for gun control is also this rouge government’s insurance plan to make sure US citizens are not armed well enough to accomplish such an endeavor.

Realistically, since the Obama Regime is now openly supporting what we were told is our enemy, we should realize such unconstitutional laws as the Patriot Act, NDAA, and the government’s continuous effort to control the internet is designed to scrutinize US citizens, not terrorists.

The Federal government is using TSA and DHS, not for catching terrorists, but for monitoring US citizens. The DHS has and continues to make every effort to destroy all aspects of what made the US great by assisting the invasion of illegals from Mexico and Central America into our country by bus, plane, train, and the coordination of immigrants in these countries for their trip here.

Now we have the prospect of getting hundreds of thousands of so called Syrian refugees brought here over the next year. These people are mostly ISIS terrorists, their associates, and families being brought here under the guise of refugees. Notice, none of these supposed refugees are Christians. What the Rouge Socialist Dictatorship hopes to accomplish is a total transformation of the US society from that of a Christian, constitutional abiding, and Patriotic one to a society where we would be the minority and have to fight our new neighbors as well as the government in a Civil War.

Aiding and abetting the enemy is considered treason, under the current laws in the US any US citizens caught sending money, helping in logistics over the internet, and collaborating with any terrorist or terrorist organization would result in them being arrested and imprisoned. Yet, the President and those supporting his anti-American policies in Washington remain free while openly supporting the enemy.

We know the people in the Senate and House who supported Obama’s push for aid to the enemy in Syria. Topping the list of treasonous support for aiding our enemy is John McCain and Lindsey Graham. Those lawmakers who were front runners in opposing such an anti-American move were Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.

The one thing the military moves in Syria made by Russia’s Vladimir Putin has done is expose the treason committed by the Obama Regime in supporting terrorism.

Are we American citizens ready to go to war with Russia in support of radical terrorists if things deteriorate to that level? I would hope not, if we did, it would mean the US is fighting WWIII on the side of terrorists while the American people live under what amounts to a socialist dictatorship, suppressing their freedom under the guise of protecting them from the very people the Federal government says is our enemy.

The War on Terror has been a ruse for the United States to dominate the world and transform our once free nation into a socialist dictatorship. This has become quite clear since the Obama regime took power and blatantly began to help terrorist groups such as Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc. take over governments in the Mid-East, N. Africa, and various other countries in Indonesia and Asia.

The entire Arab Spring riots were created by US clandestine organizations to take out sovereign governments opposed to any form of radical Islam. Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak was replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood, until the people of Egypt had enough of being ruled by terrorists and replaced them.

The US replaced the Gaddafi government in Libya with Islamic State Militants which are terrorists.

Throughout Obama’s tenure, he has supported terrorist organizations around the world with billions of dollars in funds, billions of dollars in arms, actual military training, help on the battlefield, and supply drops for them in battle zones under the guise of mistakes. In doing so, Obama has made the US the world’s largest terrorist supporter.

The Benghazi attacks were a big part of the Obama Administration’s plan to run guns and supplies to terrorist groups, both for the upcoming war in Libya at the time and for radical terrorist groups aiming to take down the Assad government in Syria.

Thanks to Vladimir Putin, the Obama regime may not be able to finish out its last remaining few months.

Thank God Mr Cruz is in Washington – Tea Party Nation

Thank God Mr Cruz is in Washington – Tea Party Nation.

My email account was on fire, everyone excited about Sen Ted Cruz calling Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor. Cruz cited each of Obama’s unprecedented unlawful power grabs and repeals of our freedoms that the GOP promised to block, only to stab us (We the People/Tea Party) in the back.  Immediately, I thought, “Thank God Ted Cruz is in Washington.”

Before I go on, I wish to address a guy whom I will call Ned. Whenever I praise a conservative, Ned emails to correct me, claiming the conservative is a deceitful traitor. When I share reasons for optimism, Ned vehemently disagrees, even seeming a bit angry that I would think our efforts could possibly make a difference in America’s corrupt political environment. Ned always sees the glass less than half empty. I guess we need people like Ned to keep us balanced. Although, I am not quite sure about that.

Sure enough, in response to patriots’ giving Cruz rave reviews for speaking truth to Washington power, Ned ripped into Cruz about questionable votes. Folks, I realize Ted Cruz is not perfect. But then, which presidential candidate is? Jesus is not running for president in 2016.

As a member of the Tea Party since it began, Cruz going down the list of GOP betrayals brought back memories. Remember how we fought and worked our butts off to give the GOP the House, then the Senate? We worked to elect Republicans to stop Obama from rolling out the welcome mat to illegals.

Over a million of us showed up in DC to protest Obamacare.

I thought of all the travel miles, funds, blood, sweat and tears sacrificed by Tea Party Americans; patriots who simply want lawful Constitutional government.

I thought about how Obama sent out his liberal mainstream media air force to bomb us with accusations of racism against the first black president; hoping to soften and diminish our ranks. The Tea Party is not racist, nor do we hate anybody.

In his speech, Cruz did two things that were quite remarkable. First – Cruz exposed the good-cop, bad-cop personal and corporate enrichment scam both parties have been playing on the American people. Second – Cruz spoke with unprecedented clarity. He did not say McConnell misspoke or McConnell was disingenuous. Cruz said McConnell lied.

Cruz has been on a roll speaking the truth, making mincemeat of Obama minions and Leftist ideologues.  He really exposes DC insider political corruption in his book, “A Time For Truth.”

It was refreshing that when pressed by the liberal bias media, Cruz refused to jump on the destroy Donald Trump bandwagon. This tells me that Cruz has backbone and will not automatically play by the Left’s rules of engagement.

It is fair game for GOP presidential contenders to express their disapproval of Trump’s style and tactics. However, when a GOP presidential contender joins the MSM in its evil attempt to brand Trump a racist for simply addressing illegal immigration, red flags go up regarding the character of that contender.

It tells me the contender will say whatever necessary to win. I call that “soulless” politicking.

Such behavior has the awful stench of what happened in Mississippi. In the primary, Republican Thad Cochran’s camp joined Democrats in branding the Tea Party racist. To beat the Tea Party conservative, Cochran’s people despicably made lying phone calls to black voters saying the Tea Party candidate would turn back the clock on racial progress. This is the kind of deplorable evil divisive totally self-serving politicking Cruz exposes in his book.

The GOP presidential field is rich with honorable contenders. I ask myself the following question.

When I lay my head on my pillow at night which candidate winning the WH will cause me to sleep the most peacefully? Who is most likely to remain true to their promises to We the People; fight to repeal Obamacare, end the invasion of our borders, defend life and traditional values?

Who believes in Conservatism enough to throw a lifeline of inspiration to those drowning in the treacherous deep dark sea of Obama’s welfare state America? Who will pray as the song says, “Lord lift us up where we belong” as Americans?

Currently, I believe that candidate is Sen Ted Cruz.

Realizing the fruitlessness of trying to instill a bit of hope/sunshine into Ned, I delete his emails without opening them. Ned has gotten creative. After lunch the waiter brought the check and my fortune cookie. The message inside said, “Ted Cruz sucks! – Ned” (Just kidding)

Senate passes S.744 amnesty, but grassroots opposition is on the way to blocking it in House | NumbersUSA – For Lower Immigration Levels

Senate passes S.744 amnesty, but grassroots opposition is on the way to blocking it in House | NumbersUSA – For Lower Immigration Levels.

What just happened: This afternoon, 68 Senators voted to pass S. 744. (Click here for the full roll call.) The bad news: If eventually signed into law, this bill would threaten to knock millions of Americans out of the middle class by flooding their occupations with 33 million foreign citizens who are offered lifetime work permits over the next decade. Can you believe 68 U.S. Senators voted for that? The willingness of every single Democratic Senator and almost a third of Republicans to accept the corporate lobbyists’ insistence that our country faces devastating labor shortages is disheartening to all of us who have fought so hard to protect the 20 million Americans who can’t find a full-time job, and the millions more who have seen their real wages declining for decades during a worker surplus.

What’s next, and the good news about your efforts thus far: Now, we must turn our full efforts to immigrationthe U.S. House of Representatives and another huge grassroots effort in July. But this will be only a three-week fight before the month-long August recess.

There is no question that the five-month opposition that all of you have waged is having good results in the House, where the Senate bill is facing an increasingly hostile reception.

If the House refuses to move a giant overall amnesty, it doesn’t matter what the Senate has done.

Your efforts have been phenomenal: Over the last few months, you have been faxing your Representatives and going to their offices, even as you focused primary attention on Senators. Republican Representatives have watched the incredible grassroots opposition to the 14 Republican Senators who broke with the rest of their Party and supported Pres. Obama‘s top priority for the year.

Just today, Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Illinois), a member of the House Republican leadership, told reporters,

“It is a pipe dream to think that that (Senate) bill is going to go to the (House) floor and be voted on. The House is going to move through in a more deliberative process.”

For months, the open-borders lobby and their supporters in the news media have proclaimed that citizens were not speaking against this amnesty anything close to the way they did in 2007.

Your efforts back in 2007 to mobilize against that amnesty effort has become the stuff of legend around Washington. But I’m so proud to tell you that over the last five months — especially the past two weeks — you smashed the old records for activism! You’ve sent millions of faxes and made hundreds of thousands of phone calls into congressional offices.

For example, Republican Bob Corker, the Senator who rescued the S. 744 amnesty from defeat last week with a fig-leaf border control amendment, admitted on the floor this morning that the bill is extremely unpopular back in his state of Tennessee.

All of us at NumbersUSA thank you U.S. citizens for everything you have done thus far. And we thank you for all Americans who will benefit if the House blocks the incredibly harmful provisions of S. 744.

Fighting the bad stuff in narrow House bill: The  grassroots uprising against the Senate has truly caught hold among House Republicans who have persuaded their Leadership to go along with House Judiciary Chairman Goodlatte (R-Virginia) to refuse to do a giant comprehensive bill, instead passing small bills that deal with one immigration issue at a time.

isupportlegalimmigrationThe problem is that the special-interest lobbyists are succeeding in getting a number of provisions into those small bills that would harm American wage-earners and taxpayers.

We will be coming to you for assistance in taming those Fat Cat Welfare provisions.

Dealing with the Conference Committee danger: Even if the House passes an absolutely wonderful immigration bill — such as the enforcement legislation recently passed overwhelmingly by the Judiciary Committee — that would give Senate leaders the opportunity to ask for a joint Senate/House “Conference Committee” which would split the difference between that very good bill and the Senate monstrosity.

If a Conference compromise bill were to include an amnesty, both the Senate and House would need to vote for it, without opportunity for amendment. The general thinking here in Washington is that most House Democrats would vote for the Conference “report” bill and very likely the needed couple dozen or so House Republicans would, too..

But . . .

Even if the Senate leadership were to ask for a Conference Committee, Speaker Boehner would not have to agree and appoint House conferees.

And even if there were a Conference Committee that reported out a bill with an amnesty, Speaker Boehner would not have to bring it to the House floor for a vote.

We have precedents in 2005 and 2006 for what we can hope will happen this year.

Many of you were part of those battles in which the House passed an excellent enforcement bill in late 2005. Despite our best efforts, the Republican-Majority Senate passed an amnesty in the spring of 2006. Then-Speaker Hastert refused to conference over those two bills, and the Senate amnesty died. (It was the next spring in 2007 when the new Democrat-Majority Senate failed to pass an amnesty when the new Democrat-Majority House was sure to have approved it.)

Until recently, Speaker Boehner has kept open the option of bringing an amnesty bill to the House floor that might pass with a minority of Republican votes — as he has done with some fiscal bills in the past. But over the last week, he has assured an increasingly aggressive Republican Conference in the House that he would not bring an immigration bill to the floor without at least a bare majority of Republicans supporting it.

Nonetheless, until today, he has refused to say what he would do about a Conference report that reconciled House and Senate bills.

This morning, once again, we saw the results of the powerful grassroots opposition to what the Senate has been doing. Politico just reported that Boehner told reporters :

“For any legislation including the conference report to pass the House it’s going to have to be a bill that has the support of the majority of our members.”

As you know, our Board of Directors, our staff and our members are Independents, Republicans and Democrats. But our July House Battle will be all about making sure that the majority of Republicans are against any overall amnesty. And we want the majority to be at least the two-thirds majority opposition to overall amnesty that we saw among Senate Republicans today.

The pro-amnesty, low-wage, labor globalization folks want Congress to believe that Americans will lose their will to fight and will just go back to reading celebrity news. But that’s not the Americans I’ve known ever since we’ve worked together to stop every amnesty attempt in every year starting in 2001 (after seven amnesties passed between 1986 and 2000).

Which Senators voted out of belief in ‘labor shortages’ and bogus enforcement promises?

At NumbersUSA, we have an Immigration Grade Card system that ensures that no vote against the interests of the American people will ever be forgotten.

Today, 68 Senators cast votes that will be very difficult to ever redeem with future actions.

After all the promises of “enforcement first,” these Senators accepted an entirely “amnesty first” bill that in the first few months would give work permits and legalization to some 11 million foreign citizens who either (a) crossed the border illegally, most of them by paying drug cartels and many of them by helping the cartels move drugs, or who (b) violated the promises on their vacation and guest visas and illegally took U.S. jobs (often through identity theft and fraud) and a share of the taxpayer-provided infrastructure.

Every single Democratic Senator voted YES to the amnesty and to the arguments of corporate lobbyists that a nation with 20 million Americans unable to find full-time jobs is desperately in need of 33 million new lifetime work permits for foreign citizens over the next decade.

And these Republican Senators voted YES to the same provisions, breaking with the majority of their Party (32 Senators) and all four of their Senate Party leaders:

Alexander (R-TN)
Ayotte (R-NH)
Chiesa (R-NJ)
Collins (R-ME)
Corker (R-TN)
Flake (R-AZ)
Graham (R-SC)
Hatch (R-UT)
Heller (R-NV)
Hoeven (R-ND)
Kirk (R-IL)
McCain (R-AZ)
Murkowski (R-AK)
Rubio (R-FL)

We will work with all of you to ensure that those 68 Senators are held accountable for their betrayal today of American wage-earners, of the unemployed and of the rule of law.

But our top attention must now be in the July House Battle that your activism has so-well prepared us for.

Stupid people in Washington – Tea Party Nation

Stupid people in Washington – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

The Internet is one of modern marvels of the world.  It started out as a simple government project to allow the government to be able to communicate wyoursignith other parts of the government in the event of a major disaster like nuclear war.

When it was opened up to the civilian world, it became the major economic engine of the early 21stCentury.

The Internet works amazingly well, so what are those geniuses we sent to Washington want to do? Here is a hint.  The word “fairness” is involved.

 How?

These idiots want to tax it.

That’s right.  They want to impose taxes.   There is a bill pending in the Senate to tax the Internet.  It is called the “Marketplace Fairness Act.”

You don’t need to know anything else other than when you see the word fairness in a bill it is a disaster waiting to happen.

Liberal Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander is leading this charge, along with Liberal member of the Party of Treason Dick Durbin and Mike Enzi (RINO-WY) are all trying to sneak this bill into the National Defense Authorization Act that would allow states to collect sales taxes from businesses on the Internet.

We are facing massive tax increases at the first of the year and these guys think we are not taxed enough!

These three clowns act like teenagers on a shopping spree down at the mall.  They want to spend more so they run to the ATM.

 Unfortunately we are their ATM.

First, what does this bill have to do with Defense?

 Nothing!

This is one of the huge problems in Congress.   Bills are created that are thousands of pages long.  They have provisions in them that have nothing to do with the subject matter of the bill.  Yet, politicians hook these extraneous provisions in there so that they can be included in a bill that must be supported, such as the National Defense Authorization Act.warning2

The other matter is this bill will kill business on the Internet.  Right now, companies that sell on the Internet only have to pay local taxes if they have a physical presence in a state.

If this scheme to tax the Internet goes through, businesses will not have to simply deal with Federal Taxation and the state or states they have a physical presence in, they will now have to deal with every one of the 46 states that has some type of a sales tax.

This will create massive new costs for businesses and will put some small businesses out of business.

One of the biggest advocates for this new Internet sales tax is Tennessee’s liberal Governor Bill Haslam.

He has been working with Lamar Alexander to push this bill through the Senate under the radar.

The fact that some of the biggest sponsors and advocates of this bill are Republicans should tell you how out of touch Republicans are with reality today.

While we need to address the issue of the insanity of the Republican Party and replacing the GOP with the Party of Liberty, right now we need to work to stop this terrible bill.

The taxing trio tried to attach this bill to the NDAA but the Senate has closed debate on that bill without the “Marketplace Fairness Act” attached.   These three will probably try to attach this bill to some other bill to get it passed because the “Marketplace Fairness Act” would never pass on its own.

Call your Senators today and tell them to vote against any attempt to add the “Marketplace Fairness Act” to any other piece of legislation.

Call Senator Lamar Alexander’s office as well as Senator Mike Enzi’s office and ask them why they are sponsoring a bill that will dramatically increase the tax burden on small businesses that operate on the Internet.

Lamar Alexander’s office number is 202-224-4944.  Mike Enzi’s office number is 202-224-3424

As with most bills in Congress today, this one is another really bad idea.  Let’s start calling and make sure we kill this bad bill.

CURL: Time for a new Republican Party – Washington Times

CURL: Time for a new Republican Party – Washington Times.

By Joseph Curl

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The Republican Party did not lose last Tuesday’s election. It was obliterated, crushed, slaughtered, massacred, squashed, annihilated — and, let’s hope, extinguished.

For the party of Lincoln, it’s been a week of sifting through the carnage: What went wrong? How could a party that just a decade ago controlled all of government have been so completely nullified that an incumbent Democrat who was quite possibly the worst president in a century handily defeated the Republican nominee?

The soul searching followed the standard stages of grief: There was denial. (Former electoral wizard Karl Rove made a fool of himself on Election Night by declaring Ohio still alive long after the state was lost.) Anger raged — Rush Limbaugh blamed it on the ignorant entitlement society. Some began bargaining: Next time we’ll reject a moderate candidate, and if we can just talk Sarah Palin into . Depression followed; one Fox News host gave viewers directions for the fastest route to Canada.

But so far, there has been little of Stage 5: acceptance. To reach that stage, Republicans are going to have to know the full, brutal truth, so here it is: The Grand Old Party is an antiquated throwback to another time and place, so pathetically out of touch with America that it has become a parody of itself. And if it doesn’t change — fast — it will go the way of the Free Soil Party (buried).

Consider just one fact: Mitt Romney lost blacks by 94 percent, voters younger than 30 by 63 percent, Hispanics by 54 percent, Asians by 53 percent and Jews by 39 percent.

In “The American President,” commander in chief Andrew Shepherd, a die-hard liberal who by movie’s end will seek to overturn the Second Amendment, takes aim at his conservative challenger, Bob Rumson. He cuts to the core of the GOP’s problem today: “I’ve been operating under the assumption that the reason Bob devotes so much time and energy to shouting at the rain was that he simply didn’t get it. Well, I was wrong. Bob’s problem isn’t that he doesn’t get it. Bob’s problem is that he can’t sell it!”

He can’t sell it: The Republican Party’s problem in a nutshell.

How on Earth not? The party stands for smaller government, far less federal spending, individual freedom, less intrusion, a strong national defense, lower taxes and supply-side, business-friendly economics. Far more than half of America believes in just the same tenets: Make no mistake, the nation is still solidly center-right.

But the GOP as it exists today almost completely prevents like-minded Americans from considering the party because it puts front and center ideologies that many categorically reject. While it espouses an ideology of individual freedom, it rejects that tenet for anyone not a white heterosexual male — women, blacks, Hispanics, gays, young people.

Take abortion. Who in 21st-century America really thinks abortion will be outlawed? Only hard-core, right-wing Republicans. And they actually put forward as members of their party two men who think such things as “legitimate rape” exist or that pregnancy from rape just may be “God’s will.” Mitt Romney tried to scrub those absurd views off him, to no avail. And for good reason: They are real beliefs of some in the Republican Party. (Um, the guys who pronounced them were party nominees.)

The Republican Party — which, by the way lost women to President Obama by 12 points — needs to run away from its archaic stance. Yes, object to abortion. Yes, work to make it rare. But move on: Abortion is here to stay. (And while you’re at it, GOP, it might just be time also to abandon that vaunted “abstinence-only” policy that has been such a dismal failure.)

Second, gay marriage. On this, simply — who cares? America 2012 has enormous problems. Is this really an issue that matters to — anyone? Christians, two men getting married doesn’t affect your marriage in any way. Get over it. The Republicans are on the wrong side of history on this issue, and Mr. Obama swept in millions of young voters by his tolerance. It’s time to walk away.

On both issues, the GOP can make a clean break: As the party of individual freedom, the GOP can simply say it now sees that Americans — especially women — do have the right to choose their own path. In fact, the party espouses the freedoms enshrined in the Constitution, always has, so the turnabout won’t even raise an eyebrow.

Such a recalibration would allow the millions of Americans who believe in the core Republican tenets to give the party a real evaluation at election time. Gone would be the hypocritical stances that invalidate the party for many voters before they can even weigh its differences with the Democratic Party.

If the Republican Party continues to press the notion that its biggest difference with Democrats is that it will fight to outlaw abortion and gay marriage, the GOP is done for good. Simple as that.

The Great Ethanol Scam – Tea Party Nation

The Great Ethanol Scam – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

The rocketing costs of gasoline and the price of corn being paid worldwide are the result of U.S. government mandates requiring the inclusion of ethanol in the gasoline all Americans must use. The time has long since passed to eliminate ethanol from this primary fuel.

A recent report by ActionAid USA, “Fueling the Food Crisis: The Cost to Developing Countries of U.S. Corn Ethanol Expansion” is based on work by researchers at Tufts University. ActionAid USA is an anti-poverty group. The study found that the corn-importing countries of Central America and North Africa are at the highest risk from ethanol expansion—the requirement to include ethanol with gasoline.

“Strong policy should not be based on prayers for good weather, especially when the stakes are so high. From the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to the G20, it is time to recognize that current biofuel mandates are unsustainable,” said Kristin Sundell, a policy analyst for ActionAid USA.

The group is calling on G20 leaders who are meeting on World Food Day, October 16, to eliminate incentives that encourage unsustainable biofuels production.

The idea behind ethanol is that it reduces carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and, in doing so, it saves the Earth from global warming/climate change, but CO2 plays no role in climate change, and shows up well after any increase or decrease of temperatures. Ethanol is bad science. It is bad for the engines of cars that must use such a gasoline blend. It increases the cost of gasoline and all other corn-based products. It actually increases the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. And it reduces the mileage a car can achieve with pure gasoline.

An authority on the U.S. oil industry is Sel Graham, the author of “Why Your Gasoline Prices Are High”. He is a man with more than fifty year’s experience, first as a petroleum reservoir engineer and later as an oil and gas attorney. He is also a graduate of West Point.
Here’s what Graham has to say about the current gas prices:

“Gasoline prices could be decreased instantly by President Obama if he wanted to do so. Republicans have not yet picked up on this issue.”

“Abolishing the ethanol mandate requiring ethanol to be blended with gasoline at the pump or waiving the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) would: (1) lower gasoline prices by millions of dollars; (2) result in billions of miles of free travel annually; (3) prevent millions of tons of additional carbon dioxide from being emitted into the air; and (4) improve national security and the energy picture since it is impossible for US ethanol to ever replace foreign oil imports.”

“The following is reference data for skeptics. Gasoline prices can be lowered instantly by either abolishing the ethanol mandate which requires that ethanol be blended with gasoline at the pump or waiving the RFS. This would eliminate the millions of dollars in waivers which refineries are required to purchase because there is no cellulosic ethanol production, thereby decreasing the price of gasoline.”

“The 2012 RFS for cellulosic ethanol is 8.65 million gallons. Cellulosic ethanol production through August 2012 has been only 20,069 gallons, a shortage of 8.63 million gallons requiring $0.78 per gallon waivers.”

An essential truth that few Americans are aware of is that “The price of U.S. oil is always lower than the price of foreign oil. Last year, U.S. oil averaged $95.73 per barrel, $7.25 cheaper than foreign oil imports at $102.98 per barrel. If U.S. oil replaced the 3,261 million barrels of foreign oil imports, it would be a savings to Americans of $23.6 billion annually.”

Given the enormous oil reserves in America, both domestic and offshore, there is no reason why they should not be extracted, but the environmental movement in combination with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Interior and Energy Departments, has restricted access to our own oil.

The ethanol mandates are not just robbing Americans at the gas pump, they are endangering the cost of food prices worldwide

Current government energy policies are a definition of insanity.

Romney and Ryan 2012 – Tea Party Nation

Romney and Ryan 2012 – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Rivoli Revue

The Tea Party Express VIII – Winning For America Tour just finished it’s sixth day.  It has been a great start to the tour having held several rallies in Florida, Georgia and covering the state of North Carolina.  The number of first time attendees at a Tea Party rally were surprising.   When talking to folks we were told they are coming out to show support and get informed.  They are trying to find out if the liberal media is lying to them about the demise of the Tea Party.  We assure them that “Yes, the media is lying!  The Tea Party is alive and well.”

Several people mentioned to us that the media seems to be trying to make them believe we have no hope.  Folks, the liberal media is lying.  They are trying to make you feel defeated so you won’t bother going to the polls to vote.  But there is hope and that hope is in Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.  The crowds have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic for Romney and Ryan.  We can win in November if you get out and vote!

Crowds are energized and motivated to take back our White House and end the socialist agenda of Barack Obama.

We received an email from a friend just before starting the tour.  He said “when you hit that stage hold nothing back.  For the sake of my children and yours, hold nothing back.”  We have thought of those words each time we have taken the stage and we have held nothing back.  So for those of you still undecided, here are the facts.  If you are thinking of not voting, then you are surrendering your vote to Obama.  If you are thinking of a write in vote or voting for a third party, then you are voting for Obama.  NEVER has a Presidential candidate won as a write in.  NEVER has a Presidential candidate been elected from a third party.  NEVER.  And it will not happen this election either.  If you went to the polls during the primary and you voted your principles then you did the right thing.  If your candidate didn’t win, then we’re sorry.  In all honesty, ours didn’t win either.  But the primaries are over.  The next President and Vice President of the United States will be elected from one of the two major parties.  That’s the facts.  It will either be Barack Obama and Joe Biden or Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.  Those are your choices.  At this point, you start from square one and you look at your principles and you pick the candidates that stand closest to what your values represent.  And here’s the hard truth – if you think you’re going to skip out on voting, write in a vote, or vote for a third party, then just go ahead and vote for Barack Obama.  Then you can at least take responsibility for the collapse of our economy and the loss of our nation if Obama is reelected.

As we listened tonight at the rally in Wilmington N.C. to the gentlemen who spoke about escaping communism to come to this “great country”, we were reminded of the importance of this election.  Folks, our freedoms here are now at stake.  Make no mistake about it.  If you believe in America and love this land your choice is clear.  Only one choice will keep America’s future bright.   So Ron and I will proudly, and without hesitation march to the polls in November and vote for Freedom and Liberty.  We will vote for Faith and Integrity.  We will vote for the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  We will vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

We must stand united to win in November.  Will you stand with us in support of candidates who love America, will not apologize for being exceptional, will support our military and will bring back our economy, bring back jobs, save medicare and repeal Obamacare?  Please join us in voting for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

(As we traveled to join the tour we wrote a new song to show our support.  It’s titled “Romney and Ryan 2012″.  It can be downloaded for FREE at www.Soundclick.com/RivoliRevuefeaturingRonandKayRivoli  Go there, listen to the words, then download it and send it to all your friends, family, email lists and radio stations in your area.  We must stand united to elect Romney and Ryan in November.)

News flash from a faux news network. – Tea Party Nation

News flash from a faux news network. – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

Americans have this unusual belief in the system we have of receiving news.  If it is printed in a newspaper, broadcast on radio, TV or cable news, we believe it to be accurate.

A recent incident has shown that at least one so-called network news outlet is not interested in the truth but more interested in pushing a political agenda.

What was the incident, which network is it and what will happen next?

The incident was ABC’s Good Morning America’s broadcast concerning the Aurora Colorado massacre.

ABC’s Brian Ross decided it was time to advance his narrative and political agenda so he had an interchange with noted liberal and former Clinton Administration communications director George Stephanopoulos.

Their dialogue went something like this:

George Stephanopoulos: I want to go to Brian Ross here, because Brian you’ve been investigating the background of Jim Holmes and you found something that might be significant….

Brian Ross: There’s a Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, page on the Colorado Tea Party site as well, talking about him joining the Tea Party last year. Now, we don’t know if this is the same Jim Holmes. But it’s Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado.

 What happened?

According to reports, Brian Ross went on Google and searched “Jim Holmes” “Aurora Colorado” “Tea Party.”

Why the hell was he making that particular search?

Jim Holmes is a fairly common name.  As with so many other tragedies, the drive by media has tried to tie it to the Tea Party.

 Why?

Because ABC News is not a real news agency.  It is a faux news network.

There is a legal term for what Brian Ross did.  It is called MSU.  Making stuff up.

The Jim Holmes who was the victim of Brian Ross’ journalistic malpractice has been receiving death threats.  The good news is our civil justice system is still in tact and I hope ABC News is writing Jim Holmes a very large check, very soon.

The Brian Ross story is a part of a greater problem.

The drive by media has been pushing a narrative for three and a half years that the Tea Party is violent.   The funny thing is, there is zero evidence to support it.  The Occupy camps became rape camps because of the large number of sexual assaults there but the media would not report that.

The media tried to blame the Tea Party for the Gabby Giffords shooting.  In 2009, a Census worker was found hanged.  The media tried to tie that one to the Tea Party.  Turns out it was a suicide.  In 2010 a man named Joseph Stack flew his airplane into an IRS building in a kamikaze attack.  The media wanted to blame the Tea Party for that.  Turns out Stack admired communism.

In 2010, there was the attempted bombing of Times Square.  America’s greatest moron, Michael Bloomberg speculated the Tea Party might have been involved.  Instead it was a group that has a track record for terrorism.  Turns out it was an Islamic terrorist.

Earlier this year a Tea Party activist was arrested for rape and kidnapping.  The faux news networks like MSNBC were ecstatic.  Rachel Maddow was literally dancing for joy on her program.  A Tea Party criminal had finally been found.

They quietly buried the story a few days later when the victim confronted him in Court and announced he was not the man who attacked her.

There are a lot of us in the Tea Party movement who are tired of this.  The faux news media went out of its way to hide stories about crimes committed at the Occupy camps, falls all over itself to make certain it does not mention Islam when Islamists commit crimes, yet goes into National Inquirer speculation mode every chance it has to claim a violent crime was committed by a Tea Party supporter.

If you are tired of it, it is time to act.

Tell ABC you are disgusted with what they did and that for that kind of journalistic malpractice, both Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos should be fired.  ABC News Good Morning America has a contact email here.

You can call them and tell them what you think.  Their number is 212-456-7777.

If you are a shareholder for the Disney Corporation, the parent company of ABC, you can contact Disney Corporation through their shareholder relations division and demand something be done.

It is time for We The People to insist the news media be real reporters of news and not faux news networks.  ABC is not a real news organization.
