The poster child for everything wrong with liberals – Tea Party Nation.

You have probably never heard of Greta Hawkins.   Yet she is a poster child for why liberals should not be allowed in the education system or for that matter any position of importance greater than that of being a Wal-Mart greeter.

Hawkins is a principle at a Coney Island School.  She recently banned the playing of the iconic song, “God Bless the USA,” at the School’s June 20th commencement.

 Why did she do this?

She did not want to “offend other cultures.”

Excuse me while we have a winning the future moment.

She does not want to offend other cultures.   What type of idiocy is that?  Earth to Hawkins.  I hate to tell you this, but you are in America.  It is our culture.  We have the right to be proud of America.   That is clearly something you are not.

For those mythical people that she believes would be offended by “God bless the USA,” I have one suggestion.  If America offends you, get the hell out.

Hawkins is one of those people who hates America and feels we must apologize to everyone for being the greatest nation in the world.  It is clear that her IQ trolls somewhere in the single digit range and she got her job through an affirmative action for idiots program.

What is it about liberals that they always hate America?  You can have some nation that is a third world sewer, where mass murder, female mutilation and child rape are the normal course of business and liberals love that nation.  Yet when you start talking about the nation that has done more good for more people than any other any other nation in the history of the world, the left thinks we are the focus of evil in the modern world.

Here’s an idea for liberals.  Try being proud of your country for a change.

Of course that is asking a lot.  Liberals might win the lottery too, but lets not hold our breath.

Liberals love left wing dictatorships.  Come to think of it, they love any regime that hates liberty, freedom or America.

Allen West had it right when he said that socialist like Nancy Pelosi should take their socialism and get the hell out of America.

Brokering the Convention – Tea Party Nation

Brokering the Convention – Tea Party Nation.

Larry Sabato is a popular guest on political talk shows.  Yesterday he wrote a blog about all the things that would be wrong with a brokered convention.   He just left one thing out.

What was it?

Sabato, in an interview on Newsmax said a brokered convention would be a disaster.  Specifically it would be a press disaster.

He is right about the press.  The left wing media will be all over the convention.  They will emphasize every fight, every disagreement and every time Ron Paul supporters try to imitate Occupy Wall Street.

However, Sabato missed the biggest disaster of all.

That disaster would be a Mitt Romney nomination.

For all the flaws a brokered convention would bring, they pale in comparison to the idea of nominating a candidate whose campaign will end up looking like Custer’s last stand, except for the certainty that Custer fared better than Romney’s campaign will.

The simple truth is we do not have a great candidate in the GOP race right now.  As a Newt Gingrich supporter, this pains me to say it, as I believe Gingrich would be a great President, but he has not been able to close the deal.   Santorum has a singular ability to turn the campaign from the points that would make it victorious for the Republicans and turn it to the Democrat’s advantage.

Then there is Mitt Romney.   He is the flip-flopping liberal who will say whatever it takes to be elected. The champion of the Republican Establishment.

The truth that the Republican Party must accept is we need someone else.

A brokered convention will not be a simple affair.  But it is necessary this time.

The Establishment does not want a brokered convention.  If we conservatives have a majority of the delegates, even if they are split between Gingrich and Santorum, we will take the power away from them.

We need a new candidate who can come out of the convention and take the battle to Obama.

Who could that be?

How about Allen West?

The Florida Congressman and retired Army Officer is the kind of man who can fire up the base.  The Tea Party loves West.

Allen West is the kind of man who calls it likes he sees it.  Anyone remember him telling Nancy Pelosi and her ilk to get the hell out of this country?

Does anyone think Mitt Romney would say anything remotely like that?  How about Santorum?  Even Gingrich?  Who else speaks with that kind of passion?  There are few that do.

West understands that politics is a battlefield.  West has been under fire in Iraq.  West understands loyalty to America and to Americans.  That is such a refreshing change from Barack Obama.

West is a man of conviction and principles, which is such a refreshing, change from Mitt Romney.

We have to have a brokered convention to stop Romney and if we do, we need a good candidate.

Allen West might just be the man.

Rep. Allen West comment on the Marine incident “Shut Up, War is Hell” – Tea Party Nation.

These are comments made by Allen West, LTC, U.S. Army (Ret.) on the Marine incident in Afghanistan to the Weekly Standard:

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), a former Army lieutenant colonel, sends THE WEEKLY STANDARD an email commenting on the Marines’ video, and has given us permission to publish it.

“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.

“All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?

“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.

“As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”

I love this man. He tells it like it is. Airborne all the way Colonel West. I will go into combat with you any day, anytime.

A Republican who gets it! – Judson Phillips – Tea Party Nation.

Every now and then you read something. that makes you fall off your chair.   It is one of those earth shaking moments when the stars align, the clouds part and you realize there is some intelligent life in Washington.

 Allen West gets it.

 From the Daily Caller:

Asked during a radio interview with WMAL‘s Morning Majority host Brian Wilson about how he feels about Speaker of the House John Boehner, West said, “I was very upset about what happened with this payroll tax cut extension.”

The Florida Republican complained about how the House GOP leadership “sold us down the road” and ditched “a good piece of legislation that took care of it for one year,” by accepting the Senate’s “two-month extension which was absolutely pathetic policy.”

“I mean, we can’t do tax policy that way,” he said.

West said he plans to make it an issue when he returns to Congress.

“So, when we get back to Washington, D.C., the first House GOP conference, we’re going to have to have some serious discussions about how do we get ourselves on the same sheet of music. Because, we really felt that our leadership did not stand against the Senate Republican leadership,” he said.

Asked if he foresees an attempt to unseat Boehner, West said: “I’m not going to speculate about that.”

Why don’t we have about 200 more Allen Wests in Congress?

The policy was pathetic because the leadership sucked.  No wait, the leadership was non-existent.

That is the problem.  The Republicans have no leadership.  John Boehner is not a leader.  He is at best a manager and not a good one at that.

A leader leads from the front.  John Boehner has no clue about the front.  He simply wants things to go along smoothly.   That is great for a manager.  It does not work as a leader and it is absolute failure for the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

We need someone who knows how to lead.  We need someone like Allen West as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

We need someone who has the courage of at least some convictions.  We need someone who believes they are in Congress to make a difference, not make a fortune.

We have seen nothing but failure from the Speaker.  John Boehner is the personification of the Peter Principle.  He has been promoted past his level of competence to a job that he is totally unsuited for.

As the Republicans go into their conference, the first order of business for the GOP needs to be firing John Boehner and putting Allen West in as Speaker of the House.

Liberals are bullies, only with less class – Tea Party Nation.

Liberals are bullies.  Just like the ones we used to face when we were kids in the school yard. Only they have less class.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz is among the worst.  The problem with liberals is they think they should have the right to attack conservatives with impunity and get offended when conservatives fight back.  They go into hysterics when conservatives beat them.

Allen West is in such a fight with Debbie Wasserman Schultz.  And she is losing.

 From Fox News.

House Democrats lined up to excoriate GOP Rep. Allen West on Wednesday after he sent an incendiary email to the Democratic party chairwoman calling her “vile” and “not a lady.”

The head of the Congressional Black Caucus told Fox News on Wednesday that members are “furious” about the incident, saying he’s going to speak with the Florida Republican about the matter. Shortly afterward, several female lawmakers held a news conference, at which they called on West to apologize.

“His words were nothing more than personal attacks,” Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., said, adding that she hopes House Speaker John Boehner “disavows” West’s remarks. She said it is “very ladylike to speak up for the values that you believe in.”

Rep. Donna Edwards, D-Md., also released a statement saying she was “shocked” by the “disgraceful” email. “Instead of engaging constructively in that debate, Representative West chose to resort to unprofessional, vitriolic and offensive personal attacks — shame on him,” she said.

The lawmakers are urging House leaders to rebuke West, though West told Fox News that GOP leaders are “fine” with his actions.

West fired off the email Tuesday to Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, calling her “the most vile, unprofessional and despicable” member of the House for calling into question his stance on Medicare on the House floor.
