Barack Obama’s war on America – Tea Party Nation

Barack Obama’s war on America – Tea Party Nation.

obamashreddingconstitution1Barack Obama and the Party of Treason hate America.   It is no longer a policy difference.  With Obama and the far-left shills for the Democrats, it has never been about policy.   They do not want to debate issues and let the best idea win.  They want to defeat anyone who disagrees with them at all costs.

Now the Obama Regime is showing its total contempt and hatred for those who disagree with it.

 How are they doing this?

In advance of the Budget Sequestration that is set to start on March 1st, the Obama Regime is releasing illegal aliens into American communities.

The sequestration has not even hit yet and the Obama Regime is trying to hurt Americans.

The illegal aliens being released are not simply illegal aliens, but these are criminal illegal aliens.    These are illegal aliens who have been charged or convicted of criminal offenses.  Usually it is more than one.

Instead of deporting these criminal aliens, the Department of Homeland Security is literally turning them out of the prisons.    Where is most of this happening?

 Arizona.

 A5XskvhCIAEhXcA.jpg largeThat is no accident.

Arizona is a red state.  Arizona dared to defy Barack Obama and even took him to the Supreme Court and won.

Over the weekend, in Pinal County, Arizona, DHS released hundreds of criminal illegal aliens.  They did not even notify the local sheriff they were releasing these criminals.

The Obama Regime claims they must do this because of the upcoming budget sequester.

The sequester is not causing the release but the Obama Regime is desperate to create a crisis.

 Why?

What happens if the modest 2% cut in spending goes through?

Probably nothing.  Most Americans will not see any change.

smugpackage That is the great fear of the Obama Regime.

If the world does not end with this modest spending cut, then the Republicans and the American people will start asking, what else can we cut.  Where else can we cut?

For Barack Obama who is determined to bankrupt America before the end of his second term, this is unacceptable.

So Barack Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens onto the streets of at least one red state.

How many people will die because Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens?  How many people will be injured?   How many crimes will be committed?

Obama doesn’t care.  Arizona is a red state.

notvotingbecause He doesn’t care because for Obama, the ends justify the means.   Obama does not care that he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution because the Constitution means nothing to him.    Obama does not care because he hates America and Americans.

Instead of being responsible, Barack Obama is trying to make the spending cuts as painful as possible.  Instead of stopping a few of those crony grants to “green energy” projects, he is keeping the Navy tied up in port.  Instead of cutting advertising to promote food stamps, he is releasing criminals on the streets to rampage and make the people of America pay for daring to elect Republicans to try and stop him.

Barack Obama is hell bent on destroying America.  Americans will die because of his desire to punish those who disagree with him.

The question is will the Republicans in Washington ever stand up to him?

Two-Thirds of American Gun Owners Would “Defy” a Federal Gun Ban – Leah Barkoukis

Two-Thirds of American Gun Owners Would “Defy” a Federal Gun Ban – Leah Barkoukis.

AR-15-300x176It’s safe to say Feinstein, Obama and the rest of the gun control gang face an uphill battle when it comes to limiting any Second Amendment rights. According to a Fox News poll, most Americans—both Republicans and Democrats—would defy any new laws that would take away their guns.

But on to Question 47, addressed to those with a gun in their home: “If the government passed a law to take your guns, would you give up your guns or defy the law and keep your guns?”

The response: 65 percent reported they would “defy the law.” That incudes 70 percent of Republicans, 68 percent of conservatives, 52 percent of Democrats and 59 percent of liberals.

The good news is that it probably won’t come to this. Analysis from Bloomberg shows that if a vote were held today, Feinstein’s proposed gun control legislation, which would prohibit the sale or transfer of an estimated 158 “assault weapons,” would fail to pass the Democrat-controlled Senate.

At least six of the 55 senators in the Democratic caucus have expressed skepticism or outright opposition to a ban, the review found. That means Democrats wouldn’t have a 51-vote majority to pass the measure, let alone the 60 needed to break a Republican filibuster to bring it to a floor vote. […]

The five Democratic senators from traditionally pro-gun states who have expressed skepticism about the bill are Max Baucus and Jon Tester of Montana, Mark Begich of Alaska, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota and Joe Manchin of West Virginia. Independent Senator Angus King of Maine, who caucuses with Democrats, also said he opposes a ban.

Maine Senator Susan Collins, a Republican who supported similar legislation in 2004, has indicated she is unlikely to back the proposed ban in its current form.

The reality, as these and many other lawmakers recognize, is that piling on new laws won’t solve the problem. In fact, The Washington Timesanalysis of recent state laws shows “no discernible correlation between stricter rules and lower gun-crime rates in the states.” It’s time our leaders used reason—not emotion—to guide their legislative endeavors.

Federal spending is out of control.

That is no secret.  In fact, anyone who thinks federal spending is not out of control has serious delusion issues.

We need to cut spending so where is one of the first places we could make a pretty big cut?

Let’s eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood.

Last year Planned Parenthood received $542 million dollars from the government.  That’s right, they received over half a billion dollars from you and me.

Why does Planned Parenthood get this money?

It is simple, they have a racket.  Planned Parenthood supports Democrat candidates who turn around and vote to give Planned Parenthood even more money.

Why does Planned Parenthood need this money, other than to help get Democrats elected?  Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortions in the nation.    Planned Parenthood claims that it offers other services, yet 92% of its pregnancy services were abortions.  In the last three years, Planned Parenthood has performed almost one million abortions.

Even if you think abortion should be legal, does anyone really think that a million abortions is a good thing?

The moment anyone talks about cutting Planned Parenthood’s funding, the usual liberal suspects start screaming.  They claim that women will die without mammograms.   The fact is, all Planned Parenthood does with Mammograms is refer them to other medical providers.   Liberals scream that women will not get contraception and other cancer screenings.  Yet in the last three years, Planned Parenthood’s contraceptive offerings have dropped by 12% and their cancer screenings have dropped by 29%.

The simple truth is Planned Parenthood has two core businesses.  The first is abortion and the second is electing liberal Democrats who will keep the gravy train rolling for Planned Parenthood.

There is no good reason why the American people should keep this business in business.

Congressman Marsha Blackburn has introduced a bill, H.R. 61 to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding until they stop performing elective abortions and stop referring women for elective abortions.

We need your help.  Contact your Congressman and ask them to support H.R.61 and demand an end to the funding of Planned Parenthood by the American taxpayer.

Today a letter was released signed by the leaders of 29 conservative organizations supporting H.R.61 and Congressman Blackburn.  I was pleased to be one of the signers of this letter.

This is an obvious cut that we can make to spending.  We have to start someplace so why not here?

Call your Congressman today and ask them to support and to co-sponsor H.R. 61 and let’s eliminate the Federal Government funding of just another liberal special interest group.

Dear News Media, you suck

Dear News Media,

yourlossYou suck. Whatever happened to journalism? Fact finding? Truth before reporting? You’re nothing more than sleazy lawyers hanging out in hospital parking lots looking for unsuspecting clients. I stopped watching your sensationalist ‘news’ a long time ago and I refuse to start again until you grow the fuck up.

Dear Law Enforcement officials, you’re stronger than they are. Don’t cave into the news media and government officials when they beg and threaten you for inaccurate crumbs to feed to the tabloid media machine. Just say no.

Dear Law Enforcement and First Responders, we love you. We’re so sorry that you have to see such terrible things. We hope our love and support is enough to get you through each day. There is no one we trust more than you.

Dear Mr. President, don’t tell the people that we will do everything we can so that this terrible tragedy doesn’t happen again. You can’t prevent them. No one can. If someone wants to harm others they will. It’s not pretty but it’s the truth.

Dear Families in Newtown, we are all thinking of you. We are all sending our love and support. We are so sorry. We know it can never be enough.

Dear America, nothing is black and white. You should know that by now. It’s not something we can fix by saying if we take away A then B will never happen. Life doesn’t work that way.

Stop trying to place blame everywhere except where it belongs.

It’s not non-religious people vs. religious people. It’s not gun owners vs. non-gun owners. It’s not Democrats vs. Republicans.

It’s just people. We need to care more. We need to pay more attention to our kids. We need to help each other.

And not just when tragedy strikes.

I’m sure my words aren’t new. I’m sure my words will anger some. But, they are my words and I will stand by them.

My heart breaks for these children. The same age as my own son. I had the luxury of waking him for school this morning. I didn’t want to let him out of my sight and I cried after I put him on the bus. If you knew me, you would know that was rare.

My comfort is this, for every [insert deviant type here] out there, who wants to harm others to fill whatever hole they have in their lives, there are thousands of good people doing the right thing for others without wanting a thing in return.

Maybe one day the news media will report those stories.

This was blogged by my daughter. She makes me proud!

Democrats find new ways to commit voter fraud – Tea Party Nation

Democrats find new ways to commit voter fraud – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

The Democrats are desperate.  They are trying to find new and creative ways to get dead people to vote.  They need to steal this election because they cannot win by getting a majority of the votes.

What is happening in Pennsylvania is instructive.  Democrats are offering suggestions on how to beat the Voter ID law.

 From Philly.Com:

Thomas Cavanaugh, a longtime Democratic committeeman in Philadelphia’s Tacony neighborhood, has two words of advice for senior citizens fretting about the state’s new photo ID requirement: absentee ballot.

Though Pennsylvania’s new voter ID law requires anyone showing up at the polls in November to produce an approved photo identification, voters may not need a photo ID if they vote by absentee ballot or by alternative ballot, the term used when the voter is 65 years old or handicapped and has an inaccessible polling place.

It’s a simple solution to a complicated problem, but those ballots could make a close presidential election even more contentious if lawyers begin fighting over their legitimacy.

And the most notorious case of voter fraud since Democrats took over the city in the 1950s revolved around absentee ballots.

Either ballot can be applied for by mail, sent to the voter’s registered address, filled out by the voter, and then sent back to election officials by mail well in advance of the Nov. 6 election.

“It’s going to be a real brouhaha in November – a close presidential election, a big turnout,” said Cavanaugh, 70, a committeeman for 25 of the last 30 years. “If they don’t overturn [the voter ID law], this is going to be one of the biggest sideshows you’re ever going to see in your life.”

So he’s encouraging his seniors to vote by absentee ballot.

Applications for absentee and alternative ballots, as well as detailed descriptions of the new voter ID law, are available on a state-administered website, www.votespa.com, under the heading “Resource Center.”

The eligibility requirements are simple, at least on the surface.

Absentee ballots are available to people who can’t get to their polling places on Election Day because of illness, physical disability, or religious reasons, and to people who expect to be absent because their “duties, occupation, or business require [them] to be elsewhere.”

This is a huge hole that Democrats can use to get dead people to vote.  This is why voting by mail or absentee ballots are a disasterous idea.  In 22 states, early voting is allowed.  In many states, early voting is already underway.

Absentee ballots, except for those on military service, is an anachronism that needs to end.  Early voting provides the necessary opportunity for those to vote who want to and cannot vote on election day.

The other thing every state needs is a photo voter ID card.  Every industrialized nation has one.  Even Mexico uses one.  The only excuse for not using one is to make sure fraud is an option to win.

Romney tax returns a desperate distraction

By Ted Nugent – The Washington Times

As usual, the Democrats have nothing worthy of their own to promote, so they are going after Mitt Romney to release more of his tax records.

My advice to Mr. Romney is to tell the Democrats to pound sand.

All we should want to know about a president’s tax records or the tax records of any elected public official is whether that person has cheated on taxes or has made money through illegal means. Other than that, how much money a candidate has is no business of mine or yours.

Unlike the backgrounds of Rep. Charles B. Rangel, former Sen. Tom Daschle and Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, there is zero evidence that Mr. Romney has cheated on his taxes.

What the Democrats want to do is to play class warfare, pit rich against poor. Playing class warfare is all the proof you need to know that the Democratic Party despises successful people such as Mr. Romney.

The Democrats abhor success. They would rather Americans be beholden to Fedzilla for food stamps and other government programs than go out and become tremendously successful on their own.

The Democrats hate success because they know success ultimately breeds success. The more successful Americans are, the less power and influence the Democrats can have over them, which means the less political power the Democrats can wield. That’s not a good thing for socialists and other big-government addicts and dependents.

The “man” keeping down the people is not a successful person such as Mr. Romney, but rather the Democratic Party, which buys their votes by enslaving its supporters with government programs and checks, funded with the tax dollars that people like Mr. Romney have paid.

When it comes to taxes, let’s keep in the forefront of our collective knowledge that the vast majority of all federal income taxes are paid by just 10 percent of the wage earners, like Mr. Romney, and that nearly 50 percent of Americans don’t pay any federal income taxes.

That’s the real shocking and ugly tax statistic — not how much money Mr. Romney has made or paid to Uncle Tax Sham.

With the sizable and legal pile of money Mr. Romney is reported to have made and banked, my hope is that he has legally hid as much of it as possible from Fedzilla. I would much rather Mr. Romney have his money than surrender it to Uncle Sham, who burns through our hard-earned tax dollars with impunity.

The Internet is a treasure trove of ugly example after ugly example of Fedzilla torching our tax money. Google “wasteful government spending” if you doubt me.

Waging class warfare against successful people is all the Democrats have left. Instead of promoting success and independence, the Democrats demonize it. That’s the real story, not the charge by Democrats that Mr. Romney has failed to release his tax records.

Should Mr. Romney release his records, let’s wait and see if the president then releases all his academic records, complete health records and other documents. How about it, Mr. President?

Our worthless lapdog media won’t press the president on this, but conservative watchdog groups and other writers will continue to remind Americans that our president has been the least transparent in the history of the country.

Mr. Romney is a model of success and deserves to be applauded for his hard work, grit, risk-taking and tenacity. He made his money the old-fashioned way: He went out and earned it.

The Democrats have nothing to run on except class warfare and disdain of success, neither of which is found in the character of the true American experience.

The left’s war on fiscal sanity. – Tea Party Nation

The left’s war on fiscal sanity. – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

When it comes to liberals, there is no middle ground.  They do not simply have a policy disagreement on what we do with our money.   They are in active warfare against anyone who offers even a breath of sanity.

The left has now picked out a new target in its war on fiscal sanity.

 What is it?

Who and what would be a better question.

 The who is Grover Norquist.

The what is his no new taxes pledge.

Norquist heads Americans for Tax Reform.  His pledge has been around since the eighties. It is a simple pledge that says the signer agrees not to raise taxes and not to close loopholes in the tax code unless there are offsetting spending cuts.

What could be wrong with that?

The left is obsessed with raising everyone’s taxes.  Recently in France, a leftwing party proposed a 100% tax rate above a certain income.

The left is in love with taxes and raising taxes.  It is almost an insane compulsion with them.

We saw the first shots in this war in the Republican debates last year.  The question was asked of Republicans, would agree to tax increases if they were a part of a package that included spending cuts?  The question was asked repeatedly of the Republicans.  Would you agree to a package that included tax increases if 90% of the package were spending cuts?

The Republicans all wisely took a pass on that proposal.

Grover Norquist has been promoting his tax pledge for twenty-five years.  Democrats see it as the major stumbling block keeping many squishy Republicans from agreeing to tax hikes.

They have tried to get him to release Republicans from the pledge and the Democrats have been trying to demonize him for the pledge.

Ben Nelson of the infamous “Cornhusker Kickback” attacked the pledge yesterday.  Nelson, one of the most worthless members of the United States Senate in the nation’s history, called the pledge a trap for higher deficits.  We all know Nelson’s IQ floats in the negative range but perhaps even a dim bulb such has him could figure out that if you spend more than you bring in, you will have deficits.

The left has launched and all out, coordinated media war against the pledge.  They hope they can pressure squishy Republicans into abandoning the pledge.

Democrats want Republicans to abandon the pledge and for good reason.  The last time a Republican abandoned a no new taxes pledge, it was George H.W. Bush and we know how that one ended.

Americans should demand that their Congressmen and Senators abide by the no new taxes pledge even if they have not signed it.

 Why?

It is simple.  Look at the track record of Washington.  The politicians in Washington cannot control themselves.  They are worse than the real housewives of Beverly Hills.  They spend, spend and spend.  It does not matter to them because they do not have to pay for it.

If we have the great package many in the left want us to have, the result will be taxes will be raised and spending will not be cut.   Last year, despite the clear will of the people that spending be cut, spending actually went up by 3%.

Our government is out of control.   We have leaders who lack the courage to do what must be done, namely cutting spending and bringing government back to the limited function our founding fathers envisioned.

New taxes will only make a bad problem worse.  Spending is the issue.   Our elected officials are the problem.

A tale of two scandals. – Tea Party Nation

A tale of two scandals. – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

Scandals are nothing new to Washington.  In fact, the City lives on scandal.  Something is wrong if another local DC politician is not indicted every few months.   Then there are the annual big scandals that come from the Federal Government.

There are two scandals worth looking at.  One is the granddaddy of all scandals and one is unfolding right before our eyes.

There are some huge lessons to be learned from what is happening and what happened forty years ago.

In the long hot summer of 1972, the Democratic Headquarters at the Watergate Building was broken into.  The reasons for the break in remain vague and really unanswered.

The results are well known.   While Richard Nixon may not have known initially what was going on, he certainly wanted to cover it up.   His cover up slowly came unraveled.  Despite the fact he crushed George McGovern in November 1972, by 1973, Watergate became a household word.

Republicans though willing to defend Nixon initially, began to ask questions.  Many Republican would not blindly sit by and let Nixon continue his cover up.  Elliot Richardson, the Attorney General and his deputy Attorney General resigned rather than fire independent prosecutor Archibald Cox.   Nixon wanted to fire Cox because Cox would not bury the investigation.

As House and Senate Committees lined up to investigate Watergate, the Republicans asked as many hard questions as the Democrats did.  It was Tennessee Republican Howard Baker who asked the famous question, “What did the President know and when did he know it?”

By the summer of 1974, the Nixon Presidency was collapsing.  In early August, Republicans went to the White House and informed Nixon that there were enough votes to impeach and remove him from Office.  While the Democrats were anxious to do so, there were many Republicans who realized Nixon had violated the law and would vote to remove him.

Now, forty years after what has been called “a third rate burglary,” what could be the largest Presidential scandal since Watergate is unfolding before our eyes.  Interestingly enough some of the legal issues are the same, including the executive privilege claim that Richard Nixon pioneered.

But there is one huge difference.

Unlike years earlier, where Republicans broke ranks with their President to find out what the President knew and when he knew it, Democrats are standing firm to try and make sure the American people never know what did the Attorney General know, when did he know about it and did he lie to Congress?

Yesterday, after repeated subpoenas and demands, the House oversight committee, on a straight party line vote, voted to ask the full House to hold the Attorney General in contempt of Congress.

The Democrats are screaming about this.

There is no doubt that Fast and Furious is a real scandal.   One American Border Patrol agent is dead because of it.  Potentially hundreds of Mexicans are dead because of this.

The plan to allow guns into Mexico, which many believe was done so the Obama Regime could make an attack on our Second Amendment Rights, was possibly criminal to begin with.

It is bad enough that people at the highest levels of the Justice Department not only knew about this botched operation but also have worked to at best mislead and stonewall Congress and at worst lie to Congress. But as Watergate taught us so many years ago, it is not the initial incident that is so bad.  It is the cover up that always gets you.

What is also very disturbing is the underlying story here.  Fast and Furious would never have been investigated by Congress if the Democrats were still in charge.  Both Nancy Pelosi, if she were the Speaker and Elijah Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee have dismissed Fast and Furious as a scandal.   Two days ago, he said Eric Holder acted honorably.

The painful truth is that we now have a major political party in Washington that will do anything, say anything, bury any scandal, just so it can hold on to power.  Gone are the days when Democrats would step up for the truth for the greater good of America.

Gone are the days when Democrats could put aside partisan bickering in the best interest of the nation.

Gone are the days when Democrats loved this nation and could be counted on to be patriotic.

Today, Barack Obama and Eric Holder are both symbols of the new Party of Treason.

This is a party that must be defeated decisively while we still have the freedom left to beat them.

The End Nears for a 50-Year Mistake – Jeff Jacoby – Townhall Conservative Columnists

The End Nears for a 50-Year Mistake – Jeff Jacoby – Townhall Conservative Columnists.

In retrospect, there were two conspicuous giveaways that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was headed for victory in last week’s recall election.

One was that the Democrats’ campaign against him wound up focusing on just about everything but Walker’s law limiting collective bargaining rights for government workers. Sixteen months ago, the Capitol building in Madison was besieged by rioting protesters hell-bent on blocking the changes by any means necessary. Union members and their supporters, incandescent with rage, likened Walker to Adolf Hitler and cheered as Democratic lawmakers fled the state in a bid to force the legislature to a standstill. Once the bill passed, unions and Democrats vowed revenge, and amassed a million signatures on recall petitions.

But the more voters saw of the law’s effects, the more they liked it. Dozens of school districts reported millions in savings, most without resorting to layoffs. Property taxes fell. A $3.6 billion state budget deficit turned into a $154 million projected surplus. Walker’s measures proved a tonic for the economy, and support for restoring the status quo ante faded — even among Wisconsin Democrats. Long before Election Day, Democratic challenger Tom Barrett had all but dropped the issue of public-sector collective bargaining from his campaign to replace Walker.

The second harbinger was the plunge in public-employee union membership. The most important of Walker’s reforms, the change Big Labor had fought most bitterly, was ending the automatic withholding of union dues. That made union membership a matter of choice, not compulsion — and tens of thousands of government workers chose to toss their union cards. More than one-third of the American Federation of Teachers Wisconsin membership quit, reported The Wall Street Journal. At the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, one of the state’s largest unions, the hemorrhaging was worse: AFSCME’s Wisconsin rolls shrank by more than 34,000 over the past year, a 55 percent nose-dive.

Did government workers tear up their union cards solely because the union had lost its right to bargain collectively on their behalf? That’s doubtful: Even under the new law, unions still negotiate over salaries. More likely, public-sector employees ditched their unions for the same reasons so many employees in the private sector — which is now less than 7 percent unionized — have done so. Many never wanted to join a union in the first place. Others were repelled by the authoritarian, belligerent, and left-wing political culture that entrenched unionism so often embodies.

Even before the votes in Wisconsin were cast, observed Michael Barone last week, Democrats and public-employee unions “had already lost the battle of ideas over the issue that sparked the recall.” Their tantrums and slanders didn’t just fail to intimidate Walker and Wisconsin lawmakers from reining in public-sector collective bargaining. They also gave the public a good hard look at what government unionism is apt to descend to. The past 16 months amounted to an extended seminar on the danger of combining collective bargaining with government jobs. Voters watched — and learned.

There was a time when pro-labor political leaders like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Fiorello LaGuardia regarded it as obvious that collective bargaining was incompatible with public employment. Even the legendary AFL-CIO leader George Meany once took it for granted that there could be no “right” to bargain collectively with the government.

When unions bargain with management in the private sector, both sides are contending for a share of the private profits that labor helps produce — and both sides are constrained by the pressures of market discipline. Managers can’t ignore the company’s bottom line. Unions know that if they demand too much they may cost the company its competitive edge.

But when labor and management bargain in the public sector, they are divvying up public funds, not private profits. Government bureaucrats don’t have to worry about losing business to their competitors; state agencies can’t relocate to another part of the country. There is little incentive to hold down wages and benefits, since the taxpayers who will be picking up the tab have no seat at the table. On the other hand, government managers have a powerful motivation to yield to government unions: Union members vote, and their votes can be deployed to reward politicians who give them what they want — or punish those who don’t.

In 1959, when Wisconsin became the first state to enact a public-sector collective-bargaining law, it wasn’t widely understood what the distorted incentives of government unionism would lead to. Five decades later, the wreckage is all around us. The privileges that come with government work — hefty automatic pay raises, Cadillac pension plans, iron-clad job security, ultra-deluxe health insurance — have in many cases grown outlandish and staggeringly unaffordable. What Keith Geiger, the former head of the National Education Association, once referred to as “our sledgehammer, the collective bargaining process,” has wreaked havoc on state and municipal budgets nationwide.

Now, at long last, the pendulum has reversed. The 50-year mistake of public-sector unions is being corrected. Walker’s victory is a heartening reminder that in a democracy, even the most entrenched bad ideas can sometimes be unentrenched. On, Wisconsin!

Breaking News: The Great Obama Depression is getting worse. – Tea Party Nation

Breaking News: The Great Obama Depression is getting worse. – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

May’s unemployment report has been released and if the Obama Regime was hoping that would help his reelection bid, they are going to be sorely disappointed.

Unemployment, at least the number that is released and citied by the drive by media, went up to 8.2%.  Those are the preliminary numbers and amazingly enough when you deal with the Obama Regime those preliminary numbers are never as good as the revised numbers.

What is even worse than the rise in the unemployment rate is the fact the economy only produced 69,000 new jobs.  That is not even enough to keep up with the population growth, much less make a dent the number of Americans who are not working.

 From Fox News:

U.S. employers created 69,000 jobs in May, the fewest in a year, and the unemployment rate ticked up. The dismal jobs figures could fan fears that the economy is sputtering.

The Labor Department also says the economy created far fewer jobs in the previous two months than first thought. It revised those figures down to show 49,000 fewer jobs created.

The unemployment rate rose to 8.2 percent from 8.1 percent in April, the first increase in 11 months.

The economy is averaging just 73,000 jobs per month over the past two months — roughly a third of jobs created per month in the first quarter.

Welcome to the Great Obama Depression.  The economy is dying and what does Barack Obama say?  He says he wants four more years.

Just so everyone remembers, when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007, the unemployment rate was 4.6%.    Since the Democrats took over Congress, the unemployment rate at one point almost doubled.

How much longer do we have to put up with these fools?  They want to follow the path the European nations have followed and guess what?  America now has European levels of unemployment.

George W. Bush and the Republicans of ten years ago were no great conservatives, but they did a better job of running the economy than the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil has.

There is a moral in this story for Mitt Romney and the GOP.  When Romney is elected this fall, as he will be and the GOP will take control of both Houses of Congress, they had better use conservative principles quickly to jump start the economy.

If they simply want to be big government Republicans, then the economy will continue to stagnate and in 2016 we will get someone even worse than Barack Obama.
