2012-07-05-alexanderThe level of outrage from the action of the Obama Regime doesn’t seem like it could get any higher.

 Then they do something else.

Conservatives accuse the Obamas of acting like they are royalty not the family of the elected leader of this nation.  Is there some truth to this and if there is will the Republicans finally do something about it?

The Obama’s have been outdoing themselves on vacations.  They have been averaging more than one a month.  Now, they have done two in one week.

The Obama daughters (possibly with Michelle Obama, though the coverage on this has not been clear) started the week at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.  Now they have gone to the slopes of Idaho for skiing.

Must be nice to be able to take two vacations in one week.

A6_HvuRCEAAJ3mMBarack Obama could certainly afford for his family to take two vacations in one week.  He is a millionaire.  The problem is not the family going on vacations.  The problem is the millions of dollars it costs to protect them while they are on vacation.

Not to be out done, Vice President and brain donor Joe Biden has gone on vacation to the beach as well.

 Cost to the taxpayers?  Unknown.

It would never occur to the Obamas, the Bidens or for that matter any member of the Party of Treason to lead by example.  In case they don’t remember, real America, namely America that is outside of the Washington DC bubble, is still suffering from the Great Obama Depression.

Obama as StalinIf you believe the statistics from the Obama Department of Labor, unemployment is around 8%.  The labor force participation rate is a better indicator of how the economy is doing.  It is at an all-time low.

Millions of Americans are out of work or are forced into part-time work because of the Obama Regime’s policies.  Millions of Americans can’t even do a weekend getaway much less a full fledged vacation.

 What does Obama do?

 He does not care.

After all, he thinks he is royalty. He thinks he is entitled to this.

With millions of Americans unemployed and a stagnant economy, the question is, are the Republicans ever going to do anything about this?  Are they ever going to fight?

The Obama White House costs Americans  $1.4 billion a year.  This includes a quarter of a million dollars a year for calligraphers and over $100,000 a year for the Presidential dog groomer.

oobamakingdomWhy can’t those positions be eliminated?

And while those positions are being eliminated, perhaps the GOP should pass a rider to the budget that says Obama gets one vacation a year.  If he wants more than that, he foots the bill for all of it.  He pays for Air Force One.  He pays for the hotels.  He pays for his own security.

If someone were doing a real job as poorly as Obama is doing his, do you think he would even get one paid vacation, much less several?

There are millions of real Americans who are suffering.  To watch the Obamas vacation like royalty, on their tax dollars is adding insult to injury.

Intelligence community knew attacks were deliberate

By Andrew P. Napolitano

How many times have you heard the truism that in modern-day America the cover-up is often as troubling as the crime? That is becoming quite apparent in the case of the death of J. Christopher Stevens, the former U.S. ambassador to Libya.

Stevens and three State Department employees were murdered in the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, last month, on September 11th. About an hour before the murders, the ambassador, who usually resides in the U.S. embassy in Tripoli but was visiting local officials and staying at the consulate in Benghazi, had just completed dinner there with a colleague, whom he personally walked to the front gate of the compound. In the next three hours, hundreds of persons assaulted the virtually defenseless compound and set it afire.

Around the same time that these crimes took place in Benghazi, a poorly produced, low-grade, 15-minute YouTube clip was going viral on the Internet. The clip shows actors in dubbed voices portraying the prophet Mohammed and others in an unflattering light. The Obama administration seized upon the temporary prevalence of this clip to explain the assault on the consulate. Indeed, the administration sent U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to represent it on five Sunday morning TV talk shows on September 16th, to make the claim that the attack on the consulate was a spontaneous reaction to the YouTube clip, that it could not have been anticipated, and that the perpetrators were ordinary Libyans angry at the freedom moviemakers in America enjoy.

Soon, U.S. intelligence reports were leaked that revealed that the intelligence community knew the attack was not as described by Ms. Rice. The intelligence folks on the ground in Libya reported before September 16th that the attack was well organized, utilized military equipment and tactics, and was carried out by local militias with ties to al-Qaida. In response to these leaks, the State Department, for which Ms. Rice works, acknowledged that the assault was an organized terrorist attack.

The Obama administration has publicly rejected the intelligence leaks and insisted as recently as last week during the vice presidential debate that “we” did not know the assault was an act of terrorism against American personnel and property. The word “we” was uttered by Vice President Joseph R. Biden, whose credibility hit a new low when he insisted that the government did not know what we now know it knew. A day after the debate, the White House claimed that the “we” uttered by Mr. Biden referred to the president and the vice president, and not to the federal government or the State Department. This is semantics akin to Bill Clinton’s “it depends what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”

Earlier this week, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in one of her rare forays into domestic politics, backed up the White House. She actually claimed that the White House was kept in the dark by the State Department.

What’s going on here?

What’s going on here is the unraveling of a value-free foreign policy and its unintended consequences. The whole reason that the streets in Libya are not safe and the country is ruled by roving gangs of militias is because the U.S. bombed the country last year. In an unconstitutional act of war, the president alone ordered the bombing. It destroyed the Libyan military, national and local police, roads, bridges, and private homes. It facilitated the murder of our former ally Col. Gadhafi and ensured the replacement of him by a government that cannot govern.

The consulate attack defies the claims of the president, articulated loud and long during this presidential campaign, that because he killed Osama bin Laden, al-Qaida is dead or dying, and the terrorists are at bay. Thus, in order to be faithful to his campaign rhetoric, the president has been unfaithful to the truth. I personally have seen excerpts from intelligence cables sent by American agents in Libya to Washington on September 12th, the day after the attack and four days before Ms. Rice’s TV appearances, acknowledging the dominant role played by al-Qaida in the attack.

So, who is to blame here? The president. He is responsible for destroying the government in Libya, and he is responsible for the security of U.S. personnel and property there. He is accountable to the American people, and he is expected to tell the truth. Instead, he has leaked the possibility of more bombings in Libya. These bombings would be more than a month after the Benghazi consulate attack and would attack the very government that Obama’s 2011 bombs helped to install.

Is it any wonder that Bill Clinton, in an unguarded private moment, referred to Obama as an “amateur”?

A team of lies – Tea Party Nation

A team of lies – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

Politicians lie.  There is no great shock in that statement.  In fact, if you believe politicians, perhaps you should buy some ocean front property for sale in Tennessee.

There is a huge difference between politicians lying and our government lying.  It is even worse when the lies are an attack on America’s freedom.

Who is lying, what are the lies and will anything happen?

The entire government lied.  They have now admitted the lie.  The lie was Muslim outrage in the Middle East that resulted in attacks on our Embassy in Egypt and our Consulate in Benghazi and the death of our Ambassador was caused by this movie called “The innocence of the Muslims,” and were not a coordinated terrorist attack.

Almost immediately after the attacks, anyone whose brain cells were not on the endangered species list realized the attacks were coordinated terrorist attacks on America.

It is hard to tell what is worse.  The fact the Obama Regime immediately lied about it or expected that the American people would believe such an incredibly bad lie.

Had this been George W. Bush in the White House instead of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House, every journalistic effort would have been put forth to disprove the lie.  There would have been huge media exposes on the lies from the White House.

Instead, we have the media’s anointed candidate running for reelection, so the media is mostly uninterested in the story.

Just to make sure we are all on the same sheet of music, let’s go over this again.   Terrorists attack our consulate in Benghazi.  The murder and possible rape our Ambassador.  They drag his body through the streets.  They burn the Consulate.  The rip down the American flag and put the flag of Al-Qaeda in its place.  The Obama Regime does nothing to secure the consulate so that news organizations (and no telling who else) is able to go to the site and pick up sensitive documents including Chris Stevens’ personal diary.   The Obama Regime then not only lies to the American people about this, but also attacks our First Amendment rights not only in America but also at the United Nations.  The Regime, instead of expressing outrage that our diplomatic post was attacked and our citizens murdered, apologizes to the terrorists for some bad film that may have hurt their feelings.

What does the media want to talk about?

 Big Bird.

The Regime has now come clean and admitted that there never was a protest about this film.  The attack on the Benghazi consulate was a terrorist attack.  Not only that, there were warnings days in advance.  In addition, the Embassy in Libya repeatedly requested security, which the Obama Regime removed in August.

Instead of demanding to know from the Obama Regime, what did it know, when did it know it and what did it do, the media instead wants to talk about how Joe Biden really is ready for Paul Ryan.

There are a few in the media who are asking questions, such as ABC’s Jake Tapper.

The fact the Obama Regime lied to American and was willing to sacrifice the freedoms of the First Amendment to support their lie is not only outrageous, it is another reason why Obama must go.

RUMSFELD: Obama is wrong for America on Election Day – Washington Times

RUMSFELD: Obama is wrong for America on Election Day – Washington Times.

Voters will go Republican way

By Donald H. Rumsfeld

With the presidential election only a few weeks away, it’s appropriate to discuss where our country is today, and what it can be in the years ahead.

A few weeks ago, Vice President Joe Biden, in his convention acceptance speech, exclaimed, “America is not in decline.” It strikes me when the vice president feels he has to stand up and say that, it’s a bit like acknowledging that America is in decline and that the world senses it, but he doesn’t want to admit it. Let me be clear — I do not believe America is destined to stay on its current trajectory toward becoming a second-rate nation. It can be reversed. Indeed, it must be reversed.

No other nations, no foreign ideology, no militant movement can, alone, obstruct our path to achieve an even greater America. Only our own leaders can stand in the way of the American people’s rendezvous with their future, and it is the American people who will make those decisions.

Reversing this downward trend requires an honest accounting of where we are and how we got here. Reversing the trends of the last four years requires changing the leadership at the top. We have a president and an administration who routinely dismiss the work ethic that has made our country an exceptional nation and seek to replace respect for personal responsibility with envy and division, making America a place where earned success is resented rather than respected.

Of most concern, we have a president and an administration who fundamentally misunderstand the world situation today.

Almost four years ago, President Obama traveled to Egypt. In a way only this president could phrase it, he said, “I’ve come here to Cairo to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world, one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect.” He promised a radical departure from the policies of the previous eight years. He vowed to rein in our ally Israel and to make the Palestinian effort for statehood central to his administration’s foreign policy.

The president went on to say that after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, “fear and anger led us to act contrary to our ideals.” He went to another country and contended that our fear and our anger led America to act against our ideals. In other words, after terrorists killed thousands of our citizens, we were the problem. Is there any other way anyone with an understanding of the English language could interpret his statement?

This, in fact, has been a theme running through this presidency — to blame America and Americans. We saw it when he apologized for acts the United States had been involved in over the past 100 years. And we see it day after day as the president excuses failure after failure of his presidency by castigating his predecessor.

I served with President Obama’s predecessor. I watched him up close. Because of his leadership, our nation did not simply pound sand after the terrorist attack on our soil. He went after the enemy, destroyed their leadership and put their operatives on the run. His administration rid two nations of two of the world’s most brutal dictatorships. And millions in the Middle East, for the first time in their lives, have at least a chance to be free.

Most Americans do not apologize for our country. Certainly, the hardworking Americans who make up the backbone of our nation do not. On the contrary, they feel deep pride in who we are, what we have achieved and what we stand for.

Like them, President Bush did not apologize for the United States. He knows that America is not what’s wrong with the world. America, even with our imperfections, remains what is most right with the world.

Across Middle Eastern and Islamic capitals, we are seeing our American embassies and consulates overrun and burned, walls breached and windows smashed. Diplomats and security personnel have been killed. American flags flying high and proud above our diplomatic outposts have been torn down, desecrated and set aflame, and some replaced by the banner of al Qaeda. This is the response to the president’s so-called “new era of civility and understanding.” What we are seeing is what the president has described as “some bumps in the road.”

Instead of taking a firm stance against those who attack our embassies and our diplomats, this administration reserves its harshest words of condemnation for a provocateur video maker. One U.S. embassy issued an abject apology and a condemnation of those who “hurt the religious feelings of Muslims.” Instead of defending the constitutional right of free speech, our senior officials excused rage and rioting.

Recall the various excuses that supposedly have led radical Islamists to kill in the name of God: Early on it was a book by Salman Rushdie. Then it was American troops in Saudi Arabia. Then it was Danish cartoons of Muhammad. Then it was Guantanamo Bay. Then U.S. support for Israel. Then it was supposedly global warming, as Ayman al-Zawahri and Osama bin Laden once wrote. And now it is a Web video practically no one has seen.

This is not what motivates them to murder innocents. These are weak, convenient justifications that are all too willingly accepted. Yet our nation’s current leaders seem more interested in making excuses for our enemies than in defending the ideals on which America was founded.

The problem is not with America. It is with an intolerant, backward ideology championed by radical Islamists — an ideology that is so intolerant it belongs in the Middle Ages, not in the Middle East; an ideology diametrically opposed to our ideas of freedom and equality.

The radical Islamists have an ideology that insists that half the population not participate in commerce and public life; an ideology that sees Israel as the focus of evil in this world to be incinerated and its ashen remnants pushed into the sea; an ideology that shuns science and innovation for a return to the seventh century; an ideology that denies individual freedom and economic freedom alike; an ideology that revels in a cult of death and martyrdom; an ideology that denies the very existence of the nation state; an ideology that seeks retribution for supposed wrongs inflicted in past centuries instead of working to build a better future.

When Mr. Obama went to Cairo in 2009, did he fail to realize that this radical ideology existed? Or did he simply choose to ignore it? Because the ideology is a fact. It exists in many corners of our world today, and in all of those corners — right now — are violent men planning to come out and attack the innocent.

So we as a citizenry have the right and responsibility to ask: Has apologizing for America and denying that we should take a leading role in global affairs led others to love us, or even to like us?

Has it led them to respect us? Quite the contrary.

When upheaval swept the Arab world in 2011, the epicenter was Cairo. An American ally was tossed aside in favor of the rule of the streets. The Muslim Brotherhood is now in control — not because they have the backing of a majority of people, but because they are the strongest and best organized. And our president doesn’t know whether Egypt is an ally or not.

All of this has sent an unambiguous message: It is that America is weak and in decline; that ours is a nation that is an unreliable friend and a weak enemy; that we are at best a spectator of global affairs — not a leader; that we aspire to be lesser. A lesser America is not an America to be respected.

Through my 80 plus years, I have seen the dangers of a perception of weakness. Weakness is provocative. It is an invitation.

This is an administration in which the lawyers, academics and the wordsmiths who populate their ranks characterize acts of terrorism as “man-caused disasters,” and the Fort Hood killings as “workplace violence.” They use phrases like “leading from behind,” or “transnational governance” and “pooling” our nation’s sovereignty with other countries. They seem to believe America’s policies should be based on an international consensus of the nations that dominate the United Nations General Assembly, instead of on our Constitution and the decisions of our elected representatives.

Take, for example, the Law of the Sea Treaty, which is still perilously close to being ratified by the U.S. Senate. This is a scheme that has been kicking around for decades, the idea being that developed nations like ours should give hundreds of billions of dollars in royalties to countries that have no part in exploration or extraction of mineral, oil and gas resources in the world’s oceans, those billions to be spent by many with views fundamentally contrary to ours.

The Obama administration has promoted the Law of the Sea Treaty and seems to have bought into the false nobility of global governance.

Why should the American people support leaders who put American interests on equal footing with foreign interests? Aren’t they elected to represent “We the People” — not “We are the World”?

For a moment, recall what the president told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, in what was supposed to be a private conversation but was caught by a nearby microphone: President Obama said, “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this can be solved, but it’s important for him [Vladimir Putin] to give me space. This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Think about that. It’s breathtaking. Here is an American president who claims he is standing strong for vital American interests, but behind closed doors is promising the president of Russia that if he wins, he’s ready to concede to Mr. Putin by abandoning a missile defense system that has as its purpose defending our people, our friends and our allies.

It says volumes about his lack of respect for the intelligence of the American people. And it screams the question: What else might he be planning to do after he is no longer accountable to the American people?

A few weeks back, Gov. Mitt Romney was criticized in the press for bringing up Mr. Obama’s national security record — that was shortly after he was being criticized for slighting foreign policy issues during the campaign. Pundits said it was an inopportune time to criticize the president in the wake of the assassination of the U.S. ambassador to Libya. Utter nonsense. Where was the president after the three Americans and our ambassador were killed in Libya? He flew off to Las Vegas for still another fundraiser, with barely a word of criticism heard.

In every election I have witnessed over the past many decades, foreign policy has played a role. And it should. Indeed, it must. In fact, this campaign has focused too little on national security policy. We live in a dangerous world.

Mr. Romney is right to point out the differences in his view of America’s role in the world from the president’s views. The differences are notable.

We should welcome a critique of the national security policies of the past four years. Someone has to do it. Too often, the press is spoon-fed leaks designed to make the president look decisive. The nation’s secrets are plastered across newspapers, served up as scoops to reporters friendly to the administration.

Within hours of our special operation forces taking bin Laden’s body from that compound in Pakistan, operational details of the raid were in the press. As a result, a Pakistani doctor reportedly involved in the operation was arrested and sentenced to prison, where he remains. What has to be one of the most classified programs — cyberwarfare tools used against Iran — were confirmed as an American effort by “members of the president’s national security team.”

This kind of airbrushing and distortion of the actual record can be effective — for a while — but I have faith in the American people. They know right from wrong. They have sound inner compasses that, over time, help them sift through scraps of information and make sound judgments. And come November, they will use their inner compasses to make the right choice for the next president of the United States.

Your tax dollars not at work. – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

This is just wrong on so many levels.

As Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden gets Secret Service protection.  So do a number of other people.

Joe Biden is actually charging the Secret Service for the privilege of protecting him.

 I kid you not.

 From The White House Dossier:

Vice President Joe Biden last year earned $20,900 in rental income from the Secret Service, which is paying him to host agents on his property so they can protect him.

Most high-profile people in need of protection pay people to keep them safe. Government officials are allowed to have taxpayers pick up the tab. Biden is unique in that he actually gets paid by his bodyguards for the right to protect him.

Biden’s tax records list rental income of $20,900 from a “cottage” on is property, which is reportedly being leased by the Secret Service and paid for at a rate that could earn him even more money next year.

Biden took deductions for mortgage interest and taxes that allowed him to report only $12,653 of the amount on his federal tax return.

Of course, the Bidens badly need the money. They only had an adjusted gross income of $379,035 last year. This probably also explains why they gave less than 1.5 percent of their income to charity.

Of course, Biden was not the genius that came up with this scheme.  Everyone should realize that.  Biden is not bright enough.

This scheme was pioneered by none other than Bill and Hillary Clinton.  In 2000, when the Clintons left the White House and moved her to New York so she could be a Senator, they wanted to find a way to pay their house note, which ran about $12,000 a month.

As a former President and First Lady, they were entitled to lifetime protection from the Secret Service.  So they answer came to them.

The Clintons had a small building on their property; so they charged rent to the Secret Service of, wait you guessed it.  $12000 a month.

Of course, Joe Biden is a financial idiot.  After all of his years in government service, his net worth is estimated to be somewhere between -$209,000 and $734,000.

This guy has been in government for 40 years drawing a fairly significant salary.  He has virtually nothing to show for it.  His wife has been a college teacher for thirty years and she has nothing to show for it.

Even Barack Obama figured the game out quickly and with only a few years in government service, he is a multimillionaire.

The fact that Joe Biden has had anything to do with the financial state of this nation is not only terrifying; it explains why we are in such a hole.

And if you ever want proof Barack Obama was worried he might be declared ineligible to be president, look no further than Joe Biden.

It should give every American nightmares to think this clown is only one heartbeat from the Oval Office.

What is it with Democrats and taxes? – Tea Party Nation

What is it with Democrats and taxes? – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

What is it with Democrats and taxes?  More correctly it should be what is it about Democrats and tax increases?

Democrats are in love with taking other people’s money.    In another era they would have been highway robbers.  Now they are politicians.

The Democrats scream about fairness.  Really?  What is fair about taking what someone has worked hard for and transferring it to someone who will not work?  What is fair about punishing someone who has worked hard to get ahead, taking it from them and giving to those who will make no effort to get ahead?

When the top 1% of income earners pay half the income tax, what is wrong with this?  What is fair about that?  When the bottom half don’t pay any income tax?  What is fair about that?

What is fair about giving an income tax refund to someone who does not work or someone who is in this country illegally?

The Democrats’ theory of fairness is an absurdity.  It turns fairness on its head.

Now, we have more insanity from the Democrats.  As of April 1, the United States will now have the highest corporate tax rate in the world.

Anyone want to take a guess what that will mean?

Japan is cutting its tax rate.  Germany has cut its corporate tax rate, as has Canada.  Even Russia and China have lower tax rates.  What does all of that mean?

It means corporations based in those nations have an advantage over American corporations.    It also means American corporations will find it more advantageous to move overseas.

Of course, Obama and the Democrats think it is unfair to lower corporate tax rates.  Therefore nothing is being done to cut corporate tax rates.

Just out of curiosity, who the hell do the Democrats think pay corporate taxes?  Here is the answer for the fairness crowd.  Wal-Mart passes those costs to the consumer.  So does Ford and John Deere.  Name a corporation and it passed its corporate tax bill along to the consumer.

What would happen if we ignored the morons of the fairness crowd and did something really smart like eliminated the corporate tax?   Corporations would have more money!  Oh you can hear the liberal screams from here.

But what would they do with that money?

There are a number of things.  They could pay dividends to their shareholders.   They could spend that money on research or marketing.  They could even lower their prices.  In other words, good things would happen.   The government would not get that money, but then again, that falls under the heading of a good thing happening.

Joe Biden, the official jester of the Obama Regime has come out with a proposal.  He thinks that there should be a global minimum tax.    For those who complain that Biden has only a room temperature IQ, clearly they have over estimated him.

Biden thinks that a 20% global minimal corporate tax would be fair.  I think Joe Biden in a rubber room would be fair.

Instead of reducing America’s tax rate, Biden thinks everyone else should have theirs forced up.  While there is immediate outrage against that idea, there is another question.  Where would this money go?

Would it go to an Obama slush fund?  Would it go to the United Nations?  Would it go to the Harry Reid Cowboy poetry fund?

 Who knows?

 Who cares?

It is a really bad idea.   Of course, the Obama Regime is a really bad idea.

As with all bad ideas, we can change our mind and do something about it.

WOLF: Obamacare: It’s a big, disastrous deal – Washington Times

WOLF: Obamacare: It’s a big, disastrous deal – Washington Times.

Democrats’ dissembling over costs is coming to light

By Dr. Milton R. Wolf – The Washington Times

Joe Biden may not always have complete command of the facts. Franklin D. Roosevelt did not hold his fireside chats on television. The word ‘jobs’ does not have three letters. And you do not need a slight Indian accent to shop at 7-Eleven or Dunkin’ Donuts. But give the vice president credit – his description of Obamacare is spot-on: “This is a big [expletive] deal.”

Yes, it is, Joe.

In a 2010 column titled “Obamacare’s unkeepable promises,” I compiled the top Obamacare lies that the president and other Democrats deployed. As I’ve said before, we did not get here because of simple distortions or exaggerations or even misrepresentations. Obamacare is the product of statements known by their makers to be untrue and meant to deceive – lies. Two years after the president signed his health care takeover into law, the enormity of those lies continues to grow.

“No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.”

Mr. Obama made this empty promise before the American Medical Association in June 2009, and the few remaining doctors still willing to associate with the AMA – only about 17 percent – believed it. America didn’t. Neither did the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), whose most recent analysis reveals that up to 20 million Americans could lose their employer-based health insurance as a direct result of Obamacare. As an aside, if your own doctor is still a member of the AMA, you might want to find a smarter doctor.

“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

Candidate Obama made this empty promise in 2008. Then he unleashed Obamacare, which raises taxes on everything from tampons to tanning salons, from MRI scanners to Q-tips. If your doctor uses it to serve you, its price tag just went up, and so did your bill. Moreover, taxes are going up on health insurance itself, if you dare to purchase a plan more comprehensive than your government thinks you need, a “Cadillac” plan. Obamacare contains no fewer than 20 new or increased taxes.

“We will bring down premiums by $2,500 for the typical family.”

Candidate Obama made this empty promise in 2008. According to Kaiser Health News, the average family’s health care premium is up $1,300 and 6 in 10 Americans will see their health insurance premiums rise. One single Obamacare provision alone – the mandate to include “children” to age 26 on their parents’ plan – accounts for 20 percent of the increase.

Obamacare will cost “around $900 billion over 10 years.”

When Mr. Obama made this empty promise, Democrats were giddy that the CBO’s “certified price tag” was such a bargain and “would cut the deficit over 20 years by more than $1 trillion.” Suddenly, however, the latest CBO analysis projects that the price tag will double to $1.76 trillion. Putting Democrats in charge of spending is like asking Lindsay Lohan to guard the liquor cabinet.

“[Obamacare] is about jobs. In its life, it will create 4 million jobs – 400,000 jobs almost immediately.”

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi made this empty promise at the 2010 health summit. Of course, this comes from the same woman who thinks that doling out unemployment checks is the fastest way to create new jobs. Meanwhile, the CBO reported that Obamacare will destroy up to 800,000 jobs.

These barely scratch the surface of the Obamacare lies. They’re like cockroaches; when you see one, you know more are hiding somewhere. Of course, this begs an obvious question: If Obamacare is so great, why do Democrats lie about it so much? The government takeover of the American health care system and with it a sixth of our economy is a big deal. Lying to the American people to make it happen, as Joe Biden would say, that’s a big [expletive] deal.

We’re at a point in time that the Democrat’s and Liberal News Media have just flat run out of new ammo.  Their political rhetoric resembles the malfunctioning Chevy Volt that blew up after a few crash tests.   The more they keep repeating the same ole, same ole the less credibility they have and the quicker they crash.

They’ve used the race card, Bush Card, the God card, women’s right card and even the ATM card to no avail.  They’ll tell a big whopper and all their little bros and sisters will jump on their stumps and swear to it.  Example of this is the contraceptive mandate in the Obamacare bill – Pelosi used her muscle and planted Sandra Fluke as a decoy; Sandra’s assignment was to change the contraceptive mandate from a malicious Religious Freedom issue to a women’s right issue.

Well, as usual their scheme backfired when Sandra Fluke realized they’d used her good name to promote an illegal Obamacare mandate.  But, the buck pretty much stops here – Fluke just slam dunked Pelosi and DEMS.  Fluke a political activist isn’t really worrying about women’s rights; Fluke is fighting for sex change or gender reassignment.

In an article that Fluke co –authored with Karen Hu she said, “Transgender persons wishing to undergo the gender reassignment process frequently face heterosexist employer health insurance policies that label the surgery as cosmetic or medically unnecessary and therefore uncovered.”

Sandra is scrambling now to regain any minute bit of credibility she might have and like Anthony Weiner her story seems to be changing daily. Now, Fluke says she really didn’t want Americans to think they should buy contraceptives for her – I guess she was just speaking in behalf of her friends with voracious sex appetites.  FYI Ms. Fluke – for about 9.95 you can get all the contraceptives for a month that your little heart desires and our Constitution gives all women the right to use or not to use contraceptives.

In 2012 the Democrats and Liberal News Media are accelerating their race bating, Republican bashing, class warfare and character assassinations because Obama 2012 Presidential Campaign along with their viewer rating is basically in the “gutter.”

Here’s a rundown on the Cable News Media:

  • Total      day: FNC: 1.265 | MSNBC: 577 | CNN:      508 | HLN: 261
  • Primetime:      FNC: 2.361 | MSNBC: 1.105 | CNN: 1.038 | HLN: 450

FOX is far ahead of the pack because viewers have grown weary of the blatant lies and malicious character attacks on people like Hermann Cain, Sarah Palin, Michelle Backmann, Lora Ingraham, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Scott Walker and the list just keeps rolling on…

Many Democrats are angry with their Commander in Chief because of the rapidly rising gas prices and the scuttlebutt on the street is Joe Biden has probably started the “impeachment “process against Obama.  Here’s what VP Biden said, “I made it clear to the President,” a furious Biden declared, “that if he takes this nation to war without Congressional approval, I will make it my business to impeach him. That is a fact.”

Americans have a duty to correct or refute the misinformation that the Democrats and Liberal News Media are blasting across cable news, radio, Twitter, Facebook 24/7.  Here’s a quote from Ronald Reagan, “A recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A depression is when you lose yours. And recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his.”

To paraphrase this a bit, let’s say our recovery in 2012 is when “Obama” loses his job.

The Myth of “Middle-Class” Uncle Joe – Michelle Malkin – Townhall Conservative Columnists.

This has got to be the bazooka of all Joe Biden blowhardisms. The nation’s vice campaigner in chief went on the attack against Republicans this week, clad in full populist armor. “These guys don’t have a sense of the average folks out there,” said The Everyman. “They don’t know what it means to be middle class.” But who was his audience?

Nope, not blue-collar workers in Allentown, Pa. Biden was speaking to an exclusive club of $10,000-per-couple campaign donors gathered at the home of the Senate’s $200 million man, Democratic Mass. Sen. John Kerry, in Georgetown, D.C.

That’s smack dab in the middle of Beltway America, where they like a twist of cognitive dissonance with their aperitifs.
The White House is once again drawing on the fantastical myth of middle-class Joe to portray Republicans as out-of-touch elitists. A Washington Post headline described Biden “digging back into his roots to move Obama forward.” But the administration’s leading populist poster child is a wretched symbol of entrenched Washington power. And his fables are getting oldy-moldy.

At another campaign event in Ohio, Regular Joe rolled up his sleeves and pumped out the common-man colloquialisms. “It’s good to have a dad in the automobile business, man,” he said. Yeah, man. Preach it, man. Oh, hey, weren’t you the man who savaged average-guy Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher in Ohio four years ago by lying about his income and mocking his American dream to own a small business? Man.

While Biden’s family came from humble beginnings, the wheeler-dealer politician and his family (including two lobbyist sons) have reaped the benefits of public office for nearly a half-century. The entrenched senior senator from Delaware amassed wealthy donors and crooked cronies over six Senate terms. These are some of the stories, reported in my book “Culture of Corruption,” that have been whitewashed out of the loquacious veep’s campaign folklore:

–Biden’s custom-built house in Delaware’s ritziest Chateau Country neighborhood, assessed at $2.5 million four years ago, is the Bidens’ most valuable asset. He secured the estate with the help of a corporate executive who worked for Biden’s top campaign donor, credit card giant MBNA. In 1996, Biden sold his previous mansion to MBNA Vice Chairman John Cochran. The asking price was $1.2 million. Cochran forked over the full sum. Biden then paid $350,000 in cash to real estate developer Keith Stoltz for a 4.2-acre lakefront lot. Stoltz had paid that same amount five years earlier for the undeveloped property.

–Among Pal Joey’s dearest old pals: campaign finance “rainmaker” William Oldaker, who showered generous benefits on both the elder Biden and his lobbyist son, Hunter; Baltimore-based Peter Angelos, whose law firm gave Biden $156,250; Wilmington-based Young Conaway Stargatt and Taylor, which kicked in $127, 979; and Pachulski Stang Zielhl and Jones, which donated $145,625, according to The American Lawyer.

–Disgraced trial lawyer Richard Scruggs donated $11,500 to Biden in 2008. After Scruggs was convicted of attempting to bribe a federal judge, Biden tried to show his ethical bona fides by donating the money to a worthy charity. But Biden couldn’t steer clear of nepotism. The money ended up with the National Prostate Cancer Coalition — a charity where, The American Lawyer pointed out, Biden’s son Hunter sits on the board of directors.

–Another Biden family pal in the trial lawyers’ community: Jeff Cooper. With his partner, John Simmons, the 39-year-old Cooper built one of the biggest asbestos litigation firms in the country. SimmonsCooper, based in Madison County, Ill., has donated a whopping $196,050 to Biden’s campaigns since 2003, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics in Washington, D.C. In that same time frame, the firm poured $6.5 million into lobbying against a key tort reform bill — which Sen. Biden worked hard to defeat. Without a hint of irony, Cooper extolled Biden’s anti-tort reform stance: “He understands the plight of the little guy and is against huge corporate interest.” But what Biden did was help fuel lucrative business for the tort bar. When courts in SimmonsCooper’s home base in Illinois finally started cracking down on what had become “America’s No. 1 judicial hellhole” for filing out-of-control tort claims, the firm turned East. And in Joe Biden’s Delaware, they created a new sanctuary.

Back on Obama 2012 Fantasy Island, Biden insists on marketing himself as the humble “son of an automobile man.” Give him this: He spins like a used-car salesman. His lot’s full of lemons. And “bamboozle” is his middle name.

The only spending the Obama regime has been wanting to cut has been the Defense budget.  Now things are so bad, a long time defense goal can no longer be met.

 From The Hill:

The Army’s already shrinking ground force could get a whole lot smaller if Congress can’t find a way to spare the service from the sequestration axe, according to the Army chief of staff..

Slashing another 100,000 active duty troops from its ranks will be the only way Army leaders can pay their share of the $1.2 trillion in budget cuts aimed at defense coffers under the looming sequestration plan, Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday. The Pentagon is facing the possible cuts because of the failure of a supercommittee of lawmakers to agree to a deficit-reduction plan.

Under legislation that lifted the debt ceiling last year, the supercommittee’s failure triggered $1.2 trillion in cuts to the federal budget that are to be implemented starting in 2013, with about half due to come out of the military.

The Army’s total force topped out at roughly 570,000 active duty and reserve troops at the height of the Iraq war. With that conflict now winding down and budget pressure on DoD ratcheting up, the Army is already planning to drop down to just over 490,000 troops. The reduction was part of the service’s fiscal 2013 budget plan sent to Congress in February.

But sequestration would force that number down to just over 300,000 troops.  Losing those 100,000 troops would essentially eliminate the Army’s ability to fight two simultaneous wars, Odierno said.

If you think Obama is letting budget cuts get in the way of the things that are really important, think again.

 From the Daily Caller:

The U.S. Air Force is pulling nine cargo aircraft from military operations to support President Barack Obama’s stepped-up visits to campaign events.

The five medium-capacity C-130s and four heavyweight C-17s will be used to ferry security vehicles, armored limousines and communications gear into cities ahead of Obama’s campaign appearances.

In the months before November, the president is expected to fly into multiple cities per week, and speak at multiple sites per day. On Mar. 8, for example, the president will fly to Richmond, and then drive over to a Rolls-Royce aircraft-parts factory. That evening, he’ll fly down to Houston, Texas.

His wife, Vice President Joe Biden and many of his cabinet secretaries are using the Air Force’s fleet of VIP aircraft to visit more states as the election season speeds up.

The nine cargo aircraft will begin operations in April, said Maj. Michelle Lai, communications officer for the Air Force’s 89th Airlift Wing. “They’ll stand down in November 2012,” she said.

So let’s get this straight.  Obama is gutting our defense.  Defense is the primary job of the Federal Government.   While our men and women are in harms way, he is taking cargo aircraft away from their duties of doing things like carrying troops and supplies to Afghanistan so that his limo can be ferried around to his campaign reelection appearances.

If the defense budget is going to be cut, the first cuts should be in the VIP transport area, which includes Air Force One.

Our men and women in uniform deserve our support and respect.

Obama simply must be voted out of office.
