The other evening on my twitter, a person asked me why I didn’t like the Obama‘s? Specifically I was asked: “I have to ask, why do you hate the Obama’s? It seems personal, not policy related. You even dissed (disrespect) their Christmas family picture.”

The truth is I do not like the Obamas, what they represent, their ideology, and I certainly do

not like his policies and legislation. I’ve made no secret of my contempt for the Obamas. As I

responded to the person who asked me the aforementioned question, I don’t like them because they are committed to the fundamental change of my/our country into what can only be regarded as a Communist state.

I don’t hate them per definition, but I condemn them because they are the worst kind of racialists, they are elitist Leninists with contempt for traditional America . They display disrespect for the sanctity of the office he holds, and for those who are willing to admit same, Michelle Obama’s raw contempt for white America is transpicuous.

hopefailedI don’t like them because they comport themselves as emperor and empress. I expect, no I demand respect, for the Office of President and a love of our country and her citizenry from the leader entrusted with the governance of same. President and Mrs. Reagan displayed an unparalleled love for the country and her people. The Reagan’s made Americans feel good about themselves and about what we could accomplish. His arrogance by appointing 32 leftist czars and constantly bypassing congress is impeachable. Eric Holder is probably the MOST incompetent and arrogant DOJ head to ever hold the job. Could you envision President Reagan instructing his Justice Department to act like jack-booted thugs?

Presidents are politicians and all politicians are known and pretty much expected to manipulate the truth, if not outright lie, but even using that low standard, the Obama’s have taken lies, dishonesty, deceit, mendacity, subterfuge and obfuscation to new depths. They are verbally abusive to the citizenry, and they display an animus for civility.

2012-07-05-alexanderI do not like them, because they both display bigotry overtly, as in the case of Harvard Professor Louis Gates, when he accused the Cambridge Police of acting stupidly, and her code speak pursuant to now being able to be proud of America. I view that statement and that mindset as an insult to those who died to provide a country where a Kenyan, his illegal alien relatives, and his alleged progeny, could come and not only live freely, but rise to the highest, most powerful, position in the world. Michelle Obama is free to hate and disparage whites because Americans of every description paid with their blood to ensure her right to do same.

I have a saying, that “the only reason a person hides things, is because they have something to hide.” No president in history has spent over a million dollars to keep his records and his past sealed.

Dog%20pee%20on%20Obama[1]And what the two of them have shared has been proved to be lies. He lied about when and how they met, he lied about his mother’s death and problems with insurance, Michelle lied to a crowd pursuant to nearly $500,000 bank stocks they inherited from his family. He has lied about his father’s military service, about the civil rights movement, ad nausea. He lied to the world about the Supreme Court in a State of the Union address. He berated and publicly insulted a sitting Congressman. He has surrounded himself

with the most rabidly, radical, socialist academicians today. He opposed rulings that protected women and children that even Planned Parenthood did not seek to support. He is openly hostile to business and aggressively hostile to Israel . His wife treats being the First Lady as her personal American Express Black Card (arguably the most prestigious credit card in the world). I condemn them because, as people are suffering, losing their homes, their jobs, their retirements, he and his family are arrogantly showing off their life of entitlement – as he goes about creating and fomenting class warfare.

obama_lies2I don’t like them, and I neither apologize nor retreat from my public condemnation of them and of his policies. We should condemn them for the disrespect they show our people, for his willful and unconstitutional actions pursuant to obeying the Constitutional parameters he is bound by, and his willful disregard for Congressional authority.

Dislike for them has nothing to do with the color of their skin; it has everything to do with their behavior, attitudes, and policies. And I have open scorn for their constantly playing the race card.

I could go on, but let me conclude with this. I condemn in the strongest possible terms the media for refusing to investigate them, as they did President Bush and President Clinton, and for refusing to label them for what they truly are. There is no scenario known to man, whereby a white president and his wife could ignore laws, flaunt their position, and lord over the people, as these two are permitted out of fear for their color.

Holder F&FAs I wrote in a syndicated column titled, “Nero In The White House” – “Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequalled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood… Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation, and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America ‘s people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.”

The end of the Republican Party and possibly the United States – Tea Party Nation

The end of the Republican Party and possibly the United States – Tea Party Nation.

Barack Obama is moving forward with two of his cherished goals.  One is destroying the Republican Party and the other is destroying the United States of America.    In both cases, Obama’s efforts are being aided and abetted by the Republican Party.

 What is going on?

Barack Obama is planning his second term assault on America and one of the centerpieces of that assault is a bill to grant full Amnesty to 11 millions illegal aliens.

To call this a disaster would be an understatement.

We have been down this road before.

The first and most important thing for Americans is that we secure our southern border.   This will not happen under the Obama bill.  In 1986 when Ronald Reagan signed off on Amnesty, he was promised that if he agreed to Amnesty, the southern border would be secured.

Twenty-Six years later, we are still waiting.

The unsecured southern border has been a magnet for not only trafficking in illegal aliens, smuggling drugs and it is inconceivable that terrorists and weapons have not come through that border.

When Reagan agreed to Amnesty, the number of people given amnesty was supposed to be relatively small.  Instead it mushroomed into millions.   Almost anything was accepted as “proof” someone had been in the country prior to Amnesty.   We will see the same thing here.  It will not be eleven million people given Amnesty.  It will be twenty million or more.

What have we seen with illegal aliens?  Even though illegals are not supposed to receive welfare benefits, many are.  The Obama Regime has worked with Mexico to teach illegal aliens how to apply for benefits when they get into the country.

 What will happen after Amnesty?

 The welfare rolls will explode.

The value illegal aliens have had to the economy is that they are cheap labor.   They could be hired and paid substandard wages.  Often payments were in cash and under the table so the employer did not have to pay taxes on them.

Once Amnesty is granted, employers will not be able to pay illegals substandard wages and will not be able to pay them under the table.  In Mexico, public education only goes through the 6th grade and many of the illegals do not even go that far.

How are these people going to find employment in the modern American economy?

The answer is they are not.   They will end up on public assistance.

Finally, this is going to destroy the Republican Party as a national party.  Not only will it split the Party, it will make it all but impossible for Republicans to ever get a national majority again.

These newly legal residents, who the Obama Regime wants to put on the fast track for citizenship, overwhelmingly like big government.  They overwhelmingly want lavish welfare packages.

Some Republicans are calling for Republicans to support Amnesty.

What the hell are they thinking?

The Republicans who think that Amnesty is a good idea are the same ones who told us Mitt Romney would be a great candidate.

While it would be political suicide for Republicans to deport ten million illegal aliens, particularly those who have been here for decades and have family members who are legal.  For people like that who have been here ten or twenty years and have never committed a crime, let them register and they can get a “we will not deport you” card.

That is a huge difference between common sense and political suicide.  The Republicans do not seem to know the difference.

You’ve got to hand it to the Republicans.  To err is human but to really screw up, you need the modern GOP.   The Republicans have held opposition to taxes and larger government as an article of faith since Ronald Reagan

Now under the brilliant leadership of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, the Republicans have not only totally surrendered but have gone from the Party of Tax Cuts to the party of screwing America with a massive tax increase.

What does all of this mean?

It means that Obama won.  He didn’t just win, he scored a huge victory.

These tax increases were never about fiscal policy.  They were never about closing the deficit.   Obama wanted tax hikes to screw the productive in America and Mitch McConnell gave it to him.

This McConnell-Boehner tax bill raises taxes on 80% of Americans who make between $50,000 and $200,000.   This was not necessary but the Republican Party has been bound and determined to commit political suicide and Obama was all too happy to help them.

Now that McConnell and Boehner have already walked the plank for Obama, the Narcissist in Chief is now already demanding even more taxes in 2013 and much more in spending.

The next two items up for debate in Washington are spending and the Debt Ceiling

Given the history of the McConnell-Boehner surrender partnership, does anyone think anything good will come out of this?

If John Boehner remains Speaker of the House, we can count on a massive increase in our debt ceiling, even more spending that we cannot afford and even more surrender.

Tomorrow, the new Congress is sworn in and one of their first items of business is to elect a new Speaker.

Call your Republican Congressman today.   Tell them to vote against John Boehner for Speaker.

While a majority of Republicans currently support John Boehner for reelection, according to American Majority, there are enough Republicans willing to vote no to deny Boehner reelection.

If we are to stop Obama, we cannot do it with the team that is currently in place.  Washington Republicans are singularly incompetent and are honestly more interested in their careers than serving the American public.

If the Republicans do not make leadership changes, then we will see no change.  We will see them surrender again on spending and we will see them surrender again on the debt ceiling.

 That is totally unacceptable.

Either the Republican Party changes leadership and starts to fight or we dump the GOP and find a party that will fight.

 It is that simple.

We need a Party that stands for freedom, liberty, smaller government and less taxes.   We do not need a Republican Party that is nothing more than the official tax collector for the Obama Regime.

America is so screwed.  We have the Party of Treason doing its best to bankrupt America and then we have John Boehner.

John Boehner is all that stands between Barack Obama’s goals of destroying America’s economy.   What do we get with Boehner?

We get his freshly laundered white flag of surrender.

First he surrendered on raising tax rates and then he offered Barack Obama a “clean vote” on raising the debt ceiling.

What kind of raging moron is Boehner?

The Debt Ceiling is the strongest point of leverage Republicans have to stop Obama.  And Boehner simply wants to surrender it.

What the hell are the Republicans thinking?

Ronald Reagan once called the GOP the “Fraternal Order of Politicians.”  He is right.  The Republican Party has no interest in saving the nation.  They just want to get to their Washington cocktail parties.

This is a call to the Republican Party.

 Dump Boehner now.

 This is not even negotiable.

If the Republicans in Congress allow John Boehner to continue to negotiate, Barack Obama will have total victory.

This is not simply a partisan battle to see which party comes out on top.  This is a fight for the life of America.

We are looking at a national debt of $25 trillion by 2022.  This is not survivable.  Right now America’s per capita national debt is higher than Greece’s debt and we see where Greece is.

Obama and the Party of Treason show no interest in stopping the rate of spending or the increase in our debt.  Under Obama’s plan, all of the new tax revenue will go not to reducing our debt but will go towards even more spending.

This will accelerate the national debt.

Liberals never get as much money as they think they will when they raise taxes.  But the do always spend more than they say they will.

t some point we will see an American economic collapse if we do not stop borrowing money and get our fiscal house in order.

Unfortunately for America, fiscal collapse is exactly what Obama and the Party of Treason wants.  Even worse for America, a gutless buffoon who cannot fight leads the GOP.  No, correct that, he will not fight.

He walks into his negotiations and offers to surrender every strong point he has.  What the hell does he think is going to happen later when it comes time to address spending?

Nothing will happen because Obama will have no incentive to address spending.

If you have not called your Republican Congressman today and demanded that he or she vote against John Boehner when he is nominated to be Speaker again in January, then you need to.

This is not even debatable.  If Boehner surrenders, then conservatives en mass should leave the Republican Party and should do so in a very loud manner.

The fate of the nation rests on a man who is afraid to take on the enemy but is quite willing to stab fellow Republicans in the back.

 We are so screwed.

Word is slowly seeping out for Washington about a grand bargain being worked out between Barack Obama and John Boehner

As we hear about the negotiations, the obvious question to be asked is, does Boehner and the Republican leadership in the House even have a clue?

What is going on that is so dangerous?

The Republicans are going to surrender on taxes.  According to published reports a deal is going to be made.  It is your typical Republican deal.  The GOP will agree to a trillion in new taxes and there will be spending cuts in the future.

When will the Republican Party learn that tomorrow never comes?

The Republicans have made these kinds of deals before.  In 1986, Ronald Reagan agreed to Amnesty for an estimated three million illegal aliens.  The deal was amnesty today and a sealed border tomorrow.

Twenty-six years later the border is still not sealed.

Now the Republicans want to make the same kind of deal.

Wait, didn’t they do that last year?

Yes.  Yes they did.

Anyone remember the debt ceiling crisis of August 2011?

Anyone remember John Boehner’s great stroke of genius?

He would give Obama $2 trillion more to borrow in exchange for a promise of spending cuts.  Either the Democrats would agree to spending cuts or automatic spending cuts would kick in.  These spending cuts disproportionately hurt national defense and other programs that Republicans allegedly believe in.

What about the programs of the Nanny State?  Their growth would be slowed only a little.

That was last year.

Now that day has come and what is the GOP doing?  It is running around like Chicken Little screaming the sky is falling and asking Obama for his terms of surrender.   Obama has already gone through that $2 trillion and is going to be asking for more.  John Boehner is ready to surrender on taxes that will not reduce the deficit but will only fuel additional government spending.

Does anyone in the Republican Party bother to looks at history?  George H.W. Bush broke his infamous “read my lips” pledge.  He went from 90% approval a little more than a year before the election to being soundly defeated by Bill Clinton.

Breaking his “read my lips” pledge was one of the main reasons he lost.

On November 6, John Boehner showed up at the Republican Victory Party in Washington DC.  He was ecstatic.  He would have another two years as House Speaker.  He said the Republicans were the party of less government, less spending and lower taxes.

Under John Boehner, we could say the Republicans are the party of gullible fools.

We know what the plan to raise taxes will do to the economy.   For Obama and the Democrats, this is like winning the lottery.

They knew raising taxes was such a bad idea they did not want to do it before Obama ran for reelection.  Now the circumstances are perfect.  John Boehner and the Republicans will go along with the Obama-Boehner Tax Hike.  It will give the Democrats perfect cover.

When the economy tanks even worse than it is already tanking, and Republicans want to run against the Great Obama Depression, the Democrats will be able to say not so fast.  You own this depression as much as we do.  Minutes after Obama and Boehner shake hands over the deal that video footage will be in the archives of the DNC to be used as ammo in attack ads against any Republican who challenges the Democrats on the economy.

Even worse for Republicans, this deal with destroy the base.

As reports come out that John Boehner and the House leadership are considering a grand bargain with Democrats, many rank and file Republicans are now openly talking about leaving the Party.

Christmas is coming early for the Democrats.  2014 is the Republican’s best chance for taking control of the Senate in the next two or three election cycles.   Yet the GOP is doing everything possible to depress its base and possibly shatter the party.

Meanwhile, the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil is laughing all the way towards a permanent Democrat Majority in government.

All the Wrong Assumptions – Tea Party Nation

All the Wrong Assumptions – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

“I see this election of Obama as an ugly puss-filled boil and it has to get to a painful point where it will be lanced so it can heal.”

This quote pretty much represents the feelings of millions of Republicans and conservatives, and of the many people who have written to me these past three days. Depression is both an emotional and economic term and it is the prevailing mood among those of us still astonished—shocked—by the reelection of President Obama.

With 20-20 hindsight, it is clear that a lot of us, including myself, made a lot of wrong assumptions about the perceptions of Obama that were held by various demographic elements of the population. He did well among Hispanics and, of course, among Blacks. He did well among single women.

One bright piece of news is that among younger voters, 18 to 29, the President saw the highest defection rate from his margin of support in 2008, a six percentage point decrease. That may be an indication of how the 2014 midterm elections will go. By then, it is likely a lot of Obama voters will conclude they were fooled again. Mostly, though, Obama did well enough among those who voted for him in 2008 to retain his job for four more years.

In the end, his “majority” win was by a mere 2% in a sharply divided nation.
My assumptions that an unemployment rate of eight percent, the increase of six trillion dollars to an insane national debt now two trillion in access of the annual Gross Domestic Product, the rejection of Obamacare that gave rise to the Tea Party movement, his war on energy, and a host of other factors for removing him from office were wrong.

Most certainly the scions of the Republican Party woke up with a terrific headache as the result of their wrong assumptions. In 2008 Republicans selected a former war hero, John McCain, who had a record of seeking compromise with Democrats in the Senate. He was overwhelmed by the massive mainstream media adoration of Obama. This time around, Republicans selected Mitt Romney, a man of character and one with allthe right credentials to set the economy on a path to recovery. He wageda cautious campaign and, in hindsight, one that was too cautious, too polite.

The Republican Party, however, missed the message of the nation’s changing demographics. When I was growing up in the 40s and 50s, the GOP was largely seen as a party of the wealthy. They were the members of country clubs and, as a new generation of seriously conservative leaders took over, their one spectacular victory was Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. Reagan possessed solid conservative views and restored the economy after inheriting the failures of Jimmy Carter.

For reasons I never understood, voters switched course and gave Bill Clinton two terms, the second of which saw him impeached, but not removed from office. Clinton, however, knew how to compromise. After asserting conservative values, the 1994 elections gave Republicans control of the Congress. Clinton, however, participated in welfare reform and other programs, later taking credit for them. By his second term, I could not bear to see or hear him. The Lewinski affair was a stain on his presidency and nobody seemed to care.

George W. Bush might have been a reliable Republican President, focusing on the economy and other conservative issues, but his two terms were transformed by 9/11 and resulted in two wars; one in Afghanistan which should have been short, and one in Iraq that, in retrospect, was ill advised. Americans grew weary of war and that opened the door for Barack Obama.

Republicans and conservatives, including myself, made the assumption that the many failures of Obama’s first term were self-evident. His focus on passing Obamacare and the politically brutal way it was imposed by a Democrat-controlled Congress that didn’t even read the bill seemed to cry out for a defeat in 2012.

The scandal of “Fast and Furious” in which guns were allowed to cross the border for use by Mexican drug cartels was, I thought, surely going to offend Mexican-Americans and other Hispanics. It didn’t. It was largely ignored by the mainstream media and covered up by a claim of executive privilege that went unchallenged.

His failure to accept the recommendations of the Simpson-Bowles Commission on the means to avoid further debt was yet another reason I thought people would realize that he wasn’t merely indifferent to the rising national debt and deficits, but welcomed them as a way to reduce America as a world power.

When the U.S. credit rating was reduced for the first time in our history I thought people would be concerned. They weren’t. How many saw the looming financial crisis, captured perfectly in the automatic budget cuts of the sequestration mandate?

For years I have warned about the debasement of our educational system and no one seemed to care. While China turns out hundreds of engineering graduates there has been a diminishing, inadequate stream here in the U.S. Other nation’s children have been scoring higher on tests than our own for years and there was neither notice, nor outcry.

And for four years under Obama, while the unemployment rate soared, job creation hit new lows, the economy fell to an anemic rate of recovery, food stamp use increased, household income fell, gas prices rose, and general poverty rates increased, none of this seemed to matter as the President continued to repeat and repeat the tired, empty rhetoric of his 2008 campaign.

Throughout his term, the number of federal regulations continued to climb, adding 11,327 pages; a 7.4 percent increase from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2011. You don’t solve economic problems by strangling small, medium and large business and industry in America, but it didn’t register with those who voted for him on November 6th.

Republicans, conservatives, and many independent voters assumed these issues would resonate with a majority of the electorate, but they did not. They were ignored. In California, among the most heavily taxed citizens in the nation, they approved more taxes.

The question must be asked whether the Obama voters were just not smart enough to pay attention to the past four years or not smart enough to understand what he was doing?

The assumption was that a majority of Americans would reject four years of failure and, it must be said, four years of lies.

Our assumptions were wrong.

A disaster of unimaginable magnitude – Tea Party Nation

A disaster of unimaginable magnitude – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

Election night in America was not an election it was a disaster.   It was a disaster of unspeakable proportions.   The disaster goes beyond the simple facts of what he will do in a second term. Now he is a lame duck who no longer has to worry about reelection.

What caused this disaster on election night and what must we do about it?

Calling last night’s results a disaster is putting a positive spin on the events.  Not since the First Great Depression has a sitting President been reelected with such a dismal economy.

The biggest disaster will be a second Obama term.  The second biggest disaster was the fact that he won last night and the Democrats managed to not only keep the Senate but depending on the outcome of a couple of races, they might actually pick up seats.

This year, the Democrats were defending 23 seats against only 10 for the Republicans.  Several Democrats had retired rather than face the voters.   Just on the law of averages, the Republicans should have picked up three or four seats.

Instead, people across America got to watch the Republican Party implode.

The only good news was that the GOP retained its control of the House of Representatives.

There are some lessons to be learned from this disaster.  The first lesson is, no more moderate Republican candidates.  Mitt Romney now joins the long list of moderate Republicans who line up right next to General George Custer.   Romney lost.  McCain lost, George W. Bush barely won and set the stage for Obama.   Bob Dole lost.  The only reason George H.W. Bush won a single term was because he was Ronald Reagan’s Vice President.  When he ran on his own as a moderate, he gave us Bill Clinton.

We conservatives have to say this time; we will not support a moderate again.  Our desire to remove Barack Obama and the Party of Treason was so strong that we jumped on board the Romney train.  The Republican establishment correctly assumed that if it could get Romney nominated, we would have no choice but to fall in line.

It happened this time.  It will not happen again.

Our message to the Republicans should be very clear.  If you nominate a moderate in 2016, you will be on your own as conservative will leave the party, assuming we are there in the party in 2015.

For conservatives, today is a day we should despair.    We should be celebrating a Republican President elect.  We should be celebrating the upcoming Republican takeover of the Senate.

I have one message for conservatives.  If you want to cry, do it on your own time.

Our fight is not yet over.

The flight for liberty and freedom never ends.

In 1776, on July 4th, the Declaration of Independence was signed and America declared itself free of Great Britain.

Most of our history books overlook what happened after that.

For months after that, George Washington and the Continental Army were beaten in every battle they fought.  They were demoralized and many were leaving the cause.  Many openly talked about trying to reach an accommodation with England and ending the War of Independence.

On Christmas Day, George Washington and his troops crossed the Delaware River and raided English outposts in Trenton, New Jersey.   It was a desperately needed victory.

While that raid turned moral around for Washington and his army, the war would last for another six and a half years.   During that time, Washington and his army lost at least as many battles as they won.  They persevered and eventually England surrendered.

Our battle today is no different.  We lost yesterday.

We have two choices.  We can surrender and allow the Party of Treason to continue to destroy liberty in this nation or we can stand and fight.

I will only speak for myself.  I was born a free American and I shall stay a free American.  I will not let this land go into the dark night of tyranny.  I will not stand by and watch the lamp of liberty be extinguished.

We have a lot to do.

If you need to rant, scream or cry to get it out of your system, go do that today.

But be ready to fight tomorrow.

What must we do? – Tea Party Nation

What must we do? – Tea Party Nation.

To say America is in a bad place right now is an understatement.   If you look at the unvarnished economic data, not the propaganda that the Obama Regime puts out and the Obama compliant media spins, we are in a lot of trouble.

There are three words to describe our current situation.  There are also some simple steps this nation can take to bring us back.  What are those three words and what can a President Romney and a Republican Congress do to bring us back?

Our current situation is the great Obama depression.  There is no other way to describe it.  The real unemployment rate is 19%, not 8.1%.   For every new job that is created in America, we have two new food stamp recipients.   Last month the economy created only 96,000 jobs while 386,000 people left the workforce.  We have had a net loss of five million jobs since 2007.   Workforce participation is at the lowest level since the end of World War II.

What can Romney and the Republicans do?

They can steal a page or two from Ronald Reagan’s playbook and then they can do a couple of things that Reagan should have tried.

Romney’s first act as President should be the same one Reagan did.  He should freeze government hiring.   As President, he has the absolute right to do that.  If that freeze will remain in place for two to four years, attrition alone will shrink the size of government.  There will at some point need to be a few exceptions, such as for Defense and Homeland Security, but the rest of the government simply needs to be frozen.

The second item on the conservative agenda should be massive tax cuts.  The left and the Obama compliant media will scream about this. Why do we listen to the perpetually stupid and the terminally wrong?  In the early 60’s John F. Kennedy championed tax cuts and the economy took off.  In the 80’s Reagan championed tax cuts and the economy took off.   One of George Bush’s achievements was the so-called “Bush tax cuts.”  The economy again took off.   Thanks to the growth in the economy, in 2007, the deficit had shrunk to $161 billion and we were on a course to balance the budget.

We should cut the tax rates for everyone; eliminate capital gains and corporate taxes to encourage investment in this nation.  We have 88 million Americans who are not in the workforce!  One out of five men are unemployed and the average term of unemployment is nearing one year.

Third we need to go through the government and take it apart.  The government as well as advocacy groups such as Citizens Against Government Waste and media outlets like the Washington Guardian constantly generate reports about waste, fraud and duplication of government services.

The only problem is, nothing is ever done about the waste and fraud.

Romney and the Republicans need to champion Federal Realignment and Closure Commission legislation.  This legislation would create a commission to go through the non-defense budget looking for fraud, waste, duplication of services and programs that simply do not work or have failed completely.   These cuts would then be presented to congress for an up or down vote, without the possibility of amendments so powerful Congressmen and Senators cannot protect their turf.

Finally, defense spending needs to be significantly increased.  Defense is the primary duty of the Federal Government and we are facing new threats from China, Russia, Iran and others.

Defense spending is actually something that boosts the economy.  If we start building new tanks for the Army, a new Ford Class Aircraft carrier for the Navy, more F-35 fighters for the Air Force and Marine Corps, that puts the Americans who build those items to work immediately.   That is actually some stimulus spending that works.

The problem we have is that we have had four administrations that have basically lived off of the Reagan military build up of the 80’s.  Unfortunately the hardware we built in the Reagan build up of the 80’s is wearing out and going out of service.  The ships that were built for the 600-ship navy are at the end of their service lives.  The fighters we build in the 80’s are not only obsolete they are worn out.

Obama’s America is an America in decline. If we have four more years of Obama, we will have a nation that is neither a military nor an economic power.  We will slide permanently into the status of a second rate nation.

This is our path back.

The only questions are, will we put Mitt Romney in the White House and will he and the Republicans have the courage to follow through?

If someone had to pick one of the Amendments of the Bill of Rights to compare to Barack Obama’s speech last night, the Eighth Amendment quickly comes to mind.  You know, the protection Americans have against cruel and unusual punishments.

After listening to Obama last night, there is only one, inescapable conclusion that is left.  What is that shocking conclusion about Obama?

He does not have a clue.

Last night he tried to sell America hope.

To quote Vince Lombardi, “Hope is not a strategy.”

Yet Barack Obama has no strategy.

The only thing he offers us is four more years of the same.   Most Americans are smart enough to realize the truism that when you are in a hole, the first thing you do is stop digging.

Barack Obama told America last night that he ran for President because he saw the “basic American bargain slipping away.”

He decided to run for President because he is a narcissist and this was the only job big enough for his ego.

When Barack Obama decided to run for President, he was a first term Senator.  When he started to run for President, unemployment was still 5%.  Gas was still hovering near $2 a gallon.  Both have doubled during his time in office.

When he decided to run, America still had allies that trusted us.   When Obama decided to run America still had a AAA credit rating.  When Obama decided to run, we still had a President committed to the safety of America and determined to take the fight to terrorists, not tell them our secrets.

 Obama lied during his speech.

Of course, that is not shocking given that it is Barack Obama.

He claimed Republicans want to eliminate healthcare for millions of poor, elderly and the disabled.  Obama has embraced a healthcare model that has been tried other places and has failed miserably.    If insanity is defined as trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, Obama is certifiably nuts.

Obama did make some promises.  He wants to hire 100,000 new math and science teachers, in a ploy that was a cheap take off of Clinton’s cops on the street program that provided temporary funding for the states to hire cops in the 90’s.

He also promised to reduce the deficit.

Didn’t he also promise us that he would have unemployment back below 6% by now and if he did not fix the economy, he would be a one term President?

Obama said the campaign was a choice about two fundamentally different visions for future.

That was probably the only thing in his speech that he said that was true.

 We do have a choice.

The last time Republicans controlled the government in January 2007 unemployment was 4.6%.  Gas was $2 a gallon.  The economy was growing and Americans had hope for the future.

In 2007, the deficit was only $161 billion and we were on course for a balanced budget.

In January 2007, 90% of college graduates found work after graduation.  Today it is 50%.   The real unemployment number, not the cooked version the Obama compliant media trots out is around 15%.  Those are the same levels we saw during the First Great Depression and that is the change Obama has given us.

He has given us the Great Obama Depression.

The last time we faced a disaster like this, Jimmy Carter was the President and before Obama he was the worst President of all time.  Ronald Reagan addressed the economic disaster facing the country and explained it in a way only he could.  He said a recession is when your neighbor loses his job.  A depression is when you lose your job.  A recovery is when Jimmy Carter loses his.

Our recovery will come in November when the American people do to Barack Obama, what he has done to so many Americans.  We will put him out of work.

Last night, Obama begged for his job in one of the worst, emptiest and flattest speech given by a major candidate for office.

Only one week earlier, Clint Eastwood gave the most damning indictment of Obama when he simply said here in America when someone isn’t doing their job, we let them go.

It is time for Obama to go.

Destroying Our Military from Within – Tea Party Nation

Destroying Our Military from Within – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

“Of the four wars in my lifetime, none came about because the U.S. was too strong.” — Ronald Reagan

If you want to know how President Obama feels about the U.S. military, consider that in all the years since D-Day 1945 there have been three occasions when a President failed to go to the D-Day Monument that honors the soldiers killed during the Invasion.

The occasions were:
1. Barack Obama 2010
2. Barack Obama 2011
3. Barack Obama 2012

For the past 68 years, all Presidents, except Obama, have paid tribute to the fallen soldiers killed on D-Day. This year, instead of honoring the soldiers, he made a campaign trip on Air Force 1 to California to raise funds for his reelection.

The U.S. military has been systematically weakened from within by a combination of idiotic and duplicitous decisions that suggest how far the nation has come from the fundamental understanding that an enemy must be destroyed with sufficient devastation as to never contemplate attacking us or our allies again.

World War Two was a success because both Germany and Japan were required to sign instruments of unconditional surrender. Both nations are now our allies. Even Vietnam where the U.S. blundered into a civil war and was ultimately forced to withdraw now has normalized diplomatic relations and welcomes U.S. investment.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan remain inconclusive due to a combination of timid rules of engagement and the transformation of our military’s mission into “nation-building” that have yielded unsatisfactory results.

The military force that distinguished America as a super power at the mid-point of the last century now is facing draconian funding reductions from a Congress unwilling to make hard decisions about our historic debt.

A July Wall Street Journal editorial, “The Coming Defense Crack-Up”, warned the automatic sequestration, “If implemented, the Pentagon budget would be cut by another 9% (or $492 billion) over the next decade, on top of the $487 billion in cuts that are already planned. Defense accounts for the largest share of total sequestration, or 42.6%m according to the Congressional Budget Office.”

“The sequestration cuts would leave the defense budget some 30% smaller in 10 years.” Does anyone believe that the world will be any safer in two years or ten years? Or that weakening our defense will make us safer in a world bristling with nuclear arms and other weapons of mass destruction?

If the sequestration cuts are pure folly, then the use of our defense forces as a means to avoid “global warming” is sheer insanity. There is no global warming insofar as the Earth entered a natural cooling cycle in 1998 and the claim that carbon dioxide is “causing” global warming is completely baseless. A tiny element of the Earth’s atmosphere—0.038%–carbon dioxide (CO2) has been the excuse environmentalists have used to attack our manufacturing and energy sectors. Now it is being used to render our military weaker through a requirement to use biofuels.

On October 8, 2009, President Obama issued Executive Order 13514, ordering the Defense Department and other agencies to reduce CO2 and other so-called greenhouse gas emissions. He set a goal of having the ships that defend our nuclear carriers powered by biofuels.

How stupid is this? First of all, America sits atop enough oil reserves to make us energy independent if the Obama administration would permit exploration and extraction domestically and offshore. The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the U.S. possesses 26% of the world’s oil supply. The Obama administration assertion that the U.S. has only 2% of the world’s supply is a lie.

There is zero need for biofuels. By 2020, the Navy has been instructed to use alternative fuel for half of its consumption. A recent naval exercise cost the Navy $27 per gallon of biofuel, versus $3.50 to $4.00 for standard petroleum fuel. As this is being written, Americans are required to use ethanol, a biofuel, in every gallon of gas they put in their cars, needlessly increasing the cost with no benefit in mileage and at the risk of damaging their car engines.

The Air Force is also subject to these mandates for biofuels that cost more than $26 per gallon, compared with standard jet fuel at $4 per gallon. Both the Navy and Air Force face the prospect of having to refuel ships and planes in potential battle zones where every gallon of biofuel would have to be transported from the U.S. for lack of biofuel refineries in Asian, Mideast or Mediterranean ports. Can you spell d-e-f-e-a-t?

These biofuel mandates are part of the Obama administration’s crony capitalism that has seen “alternative energy” lose billions in loan guarantees to solar companies and the government mandates that maintain the wind power industry that, like ethanol, would not exist without federal government support.

Phil Dunmire, the national president of the Navy League of the United States, on July 18, warned that “The defense and maritime industries are being jeopardized from within” noting that “programs related to our nation’s defense will absorb half of the sequestration costs despite being just 19% of the national spending budget.” These cuts go into effect in January!

The sequestration and other budget cuts, and the global warming biofuel mandates will leave the U.S. more vulnerable to attack and defeat since the end of World War Two. Our Navy has shrunk. Our combat air fleet is old. The manpower of military forces has been reduced and subjected to restrictions that leave every soldier and marine subject to investigation for every enemy they kill.

The exception to the long engagement in the Middle East was the successful killing of Osama bin Laden, but even that was tarnished by a President who took full credit for it and released information about it that runs contrary to the safety of all comparable future missions. Within days, the White House provided a briefing on it to a Hollywood producer and writer in order to facilitate a film lauding the mission.

The greatest force for the defense of the nation and for freedom in the world is being reduced by a Congress and a White House who refuse to recognize the threats that exist in a dangerous world.
