Dumb and Dangerous: America’s Fast Pass for Saudi Arabia – Michelle Malkin.

Dumb and Dangerous: America’s Fast Pass for Saudi Arabia – Michelle Malkin .

incompetentIt’s business as usual in the post-9/11 world. Your federal government is back to pandering to wealthy travelers from Saudi Arabia. In the eyes of our massive homeland security apparatus, the comfort of Saudis is a higher priority than the safety of American citizens.

And thanks to reckless, feckless bureaucrats who fear being labeled “racists,” “xenophobes” and “Islamophobes,” political correctness remains the handmaiden of terror.

According to a new report released this week by the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT), President Obama’s Department of Homeland Security plans to bestow “trusted traveler” status to travelers from Saudi Arabia. Yes, the home of 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers will soon enjoy the exclusive privilege of new entry shortcuts into the U.S.

Fox News points out: “Only an exclusive handful of countries enjoy inclusion in the Global Entry program: Canada, Mexico, South Korea and the Netherlands. According to the IPT, some officials are questioning why Saudi Arabia gets to reap the benefits of the program, when key U.S. allies like Germany and France are not enrolled.”

Saudi suck-up Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security, hailed “the bond between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” and pledged to work with the government to facilitate “legitimate trade and travel.”

This foolish move is astonishing but not unprecedented. As I noted in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, the Bush administration had created its own fast-pass system for Saudi elites called “Visa Express.” Thanks to this GOP idiocy, three of the 9/11 hijackers skipped the usual consular interview process and bypassed long lines in the hot Saudi sun.

Throughout the jihadist-coddling Saudi kingdom, applicants could simply file their visa paperwork through travel agencies and courier companies for a small fee — without having to appear in person or submit to extensive background checks. The U.S. embassy in Riyadh bragged before 9/11: “Applicants will no longer have to take time off from work, no longer have to wait in long lines under the hot sun and in crowded waiting rooms, and no longer be limited by any time constraints.”

Investigative reporter Joel Mowbray obtained the shocking, shoddy applications filed by the hijackers — whose omissions about where, when and what they planned to do when they arrived in the U.S. should have raised blood-red flags. But after the Saudi-dominated 9/11 jihad crew murdered nearly 3,000 innocent men, women and children on our soil, Bush administration officials bent over backward to assure touchy Saudis that no changes would be made “in determining visa eligibility as a result of the (9/11) attacks.” Visa Express was expanded.

Moreover, State Department employees were banned from communicating with foreign governments about their citizens’ visa applications, making it virtually impossible to verify vital information. The Bush State Department official in charge of implementing the “Visa Express” program that helped enable 9/11 hijackers and their colleagues was not punished. Instead, she received “cash prizes for ‘outstanding performance in the 12 months from April 16, 2001, to April 15, 2002′ — a period during which at least five of the 9/11 terrorists received visas that should have been denied according to the law,” as Mowbray noted, “and during which September 11 happened.”

Since that time, consular screening has remained an abject joke. There is still no operational tracking system to detect and deport hundreds of thousands of visa overstayers, including untold numbers of illegal aliens from jihad-friendly Middle Eastern countries. Law enforcement training for consular officials is scant. And Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., stated the obvious about Obama’s Fast Pass 2.0: “I think you have radical Wahhabism in certain elements in Saudi Arabia, and I think to be more lenient there than in other places would be a mistake.”

Twelve years after a Saudi-dominated cabal of young male Muslims committed mass murder in the skies and brought down the Twin Towers, your government refuses to do the unapologetic national security profiling necessary to prevent another domestic attack by foreign jihadis. Instead, they’re searching your grandma’s knitting bag, your Marine’s prosthetic limbs and your toddler’s bags packed for Disneyland — while waving Saudi “trusted travelers” through the fast lane. Deadly deja vu.

Barack Obama’s war on America – Tea Party Nation

Barack Obama’s war on America – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

obamashreddingconstitution1Barack Obama and the Party of Treason hate America.   It is no longer a policy difference.  With Obama and the far-left shills for the Democrats, it has never been about policy.   They do not want to debate issues and let the best idea win.  They want to defeat anyone who disagrees with them at all costs.

Now the Obama Regime is showing its total contempt and hatred for those who disagree with it.

 How are they doing this?

In advance of the Budget Sequestration that is set to start on March 1st, the Obama Regime is releasing illegal aliens into American communities.

The sequestration has not even hit yet and the Obama Regime is trying to hurt Americans.

The illegal aliens being released are not simply illegal aliens, but these are criminal illegal aliens.    These are illegal aliens who have been charged or convicted of criminal offenses.  Usually it is more than one.

Instead of deporting these criminal aliens, the Department of Homeland Security is literally turning them out of the prisons.    Where is most of this happening?

 Arizona.

 A5XskvhCIAEhXcA.jpg largeThat is no accident.

Arizona is a red state.  Arizona dared to defy Barack Obama and even took him to the Supreme Court and won.

Over the weekend, in Pinal County, Arizona, DHS released hundreds of criminal illegal aliens.  They did not even notify the local sheriff they were releasing these criminals.

The Obama Regime claims they must do this because of the upcoming budget sequester.

The sequester is not causing the release but the Obama Regime is desperate to create a crisis.

 Why?

What happens if the modest 2% cut in spending goes through?

Probably nothing.  Most Americans will not see any change.

smugpackage That is the great fear of the Obama Regime.

If the world does not end with this modest spending cut, then the Republicans and the American people will start asking, what else can we cut.  Where else can we cut?

For Barack Obama who is determined to bankrupt America before the end of his second term, this is unacceptable.

So Barack Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens onto the streets of at least one red state.

How many people will die because Obama is releasing criminal illegal aliens?  How many people will be injured?   How many crimes will be committed?

Obama doesn’t care.  Arizona is a red state.

notvotingbecause He doesn’t care because for Obama, the ends justify the means.   Obama does not care that he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution because the Constitution means nothing to him.    Obama does not care because he hates America and Americans.

Instead of being responsible, Barack Obama is trying to make the spending cuts as painful as possible.  Instead of stopping a few of those crony grants to “green energy” projects, he is keeping the Navy tied up in port.  Instead of cutting advertising to promote food stamps, he is releasing criminals on the streets to rampage and make the people of America pay for daring to elect Republicans to try and stop him.

Barack Obama is hell bent on destroying America.  Americans will die because of his desire to punish those who disagree with him.

The question is will the Republicans in Washington ever stand up to him?

The United States Department of Politically Correct Stupidity – Tea Party Nation

The United States Department of Politically Correct Stupidity – Tea Party Nation.

Posted by Judson Phillips

obama-shreds-the-constitution1There is one Department in the government that takes the cake for politically correct stupidity.

In fact, that Department should be renamed from its current name to the United States Department of Politically Correct Stupidity.

Which Department is it and what do the constantly do that earns them this title?

It is the Department of Homeland Security.

DHS has got to be one of the biggest government run disasters ever pushed upon this nation.

DHS was George Bush’s big government reaction to the 9/11 attacks.

 What did DHS do?

Well, it took a lot of agencies that previously existed, put them under the aegis of the new Department of Homeland Security.  Then, just for good measure new agencies were created and then a whole new level of bureaucracy was added.

Under the Bush administration, DHS was, well, it was there but that is about all you can say for it.   It created the theater of the absurd that we call airport security.  It gave new meaning to close encounters as real Americans were groped and fondled by people who either were on the sex offender registry or should have been.

bretterbring When the Obama Regime took over, DHS turned into a nightmare.  First they called patriotic Americans “domestic terrorists” in a widely panned, totally political report.

DHS then made a joke of enforcing immigration laws.

DHS has produced videos telling people to be on the look out for domestic terrorism yet all of the terrorists shown in their videos look more like Tea Party members than the people who have actually been committing terrorism against this nation.

Now DHS is giving advice that is designed to get people killed.

It is telling people in the case of an active shooter to duck under desks.

The children at Sandy Hook ducked under desks and huddled in the back of their classrooms.  According to press reports, that is where they were found, near the body of Adam Lanza who killed himself after killing them.

The advice DHS gives reminds me of a scene from the movie Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.   In that movie, a young officer is confronted with the infamous Kobayashi Maru scenario.  It is a training exercise that is impossible to win.  After having the starship simulator blown to bits, the young officer turns to Admiral James Kirk and asks what she should do.

Kirk’s response?  “Prayer.  The Klingons don’t take prisoners.”

AkU3OD4CAAA7UUa.jpg largeActive shooters don’t take prisoners either.

DHS would never suggest something like prayer.  Instead they suggest that if you are confronted with an active shooter, you grab a pair of scissors and defend yourself.

Really?  Have they never heard the old expression about bringing a knife to a gunfight?

Even someone who knows how to fight with a knife would be hard pressed to kill someone with a knife or a pair of scissors.  That is especially true when the other person has a gun.

Do you know what you should bring to a gunfight?  Another gun!

But the Department of Politically Correct Stupidity would never suggest something that obvious.

Instead our government suggests you get yourself killed.   The nation that once lived by the motto, “Live free or die,” has replaced it with “cower like cowards and hope you die quickly.”

While there are some agencies within the Department of Homeland Security that do a good job, like the Coast Guard for example, most of DHS is simply a bloated waste of taxpayer dollars.

The best thing America can do is ignore everything that DHS advises and get our elected leaders to abolish that Department as quickly as possible.

Getting it right! – Tea Party Nation

Getting it right! – Tea Party Nation.

Sometimes even liberals get it right.

John Hickenlooper is the liberal Democrat Governor of Colorado.  As you might guess, he was booked on the news shows today to talk about the massacre in Aurora Colorado.

The question was raised, how do you prevent tragedies like the Aurora massacre from happening.

You would expect a liberal like Hickenlooper to come back with the standard politically correct answer that more gun control laws were needed.

Instead, he surprised everyone.

From Newsmax:

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper said no law could have prevented suspect James Holmes from carrying out the act of terror that rocked an Aurora movie theater early Friday morning and left 12 dead.

“This person, if there were no assault weapons available, if there were no this or no that, this guy’s going to find something. Right? He’s going to know how to create a bomb. Who knows where his mind would have gone. Clearly a very intelligent individual however twisted. That’s the problem, this is a human issue in some profound way,” Hickenlooper said during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“The people around him had no idea that this was something he was capable of,” said Hickenlooper.

“How do you prevent this?” Hickenlooper asked host Candy Crowley.” “How do we preserve our freedoms…and all those things that define this country, and yet try to prevent something like this [from] happening? Let me tell you, there’s no easy answer. There isn’t.”

The governor described the suspect as a “deeply troubled, twisted, delusional person.”

“I am speechless,” he said. “I can’t conceive of a motive. In a funny way, this guy is a terrorist, right? For whatever twisted reasons that we can barely even imagine, he wanted to create terror. He wanted to put fear in people’s lives.

Hickenlooper is absolutely right about that.  Aurora Colorado has very restrictive gun laws.  That did not stop the shooter.  The movie theater had a no guns policy.  That did not stop the shooter.

What if Aurora Colorado had the most draconian gun control laws in America?  That still would not have stopped this guy.

What would have happened if you could have actually kept guns out of this guys hands?  The tragedy still would have happened.  He just would have chosen a different method.

Look at his apartment.  According to the police it was very thoroughly booby trapped.  He had created explosive devices and managed to do so without raising any red flags.

Think about this for a second.  Here we are in the post 9/11 world, with the Department of Homeland Security and this guy is able to build some pretty sophisticated bombs and he does not even show up on the radar?

If some how we could have denied him access to guns, he would have used another weapon, such as an explosive device.

Hickenlooper is correct.  No laws would have stopped this guy.

EDITORIAL NOTE:  I still refuse to identify the shooter in Aurora by his name.  The people who should be remembered by name are his victims, not that sick freak.

Florida 1, Eric Holder 0 – Tea Party Nation

Florida 1, Eric Holder 0 – Tea Party Nation.

You knew this news would come out on a weekend so it does not gain any traction, but Eric Holder’s efforts to allow the dead to vote and many to vote early and often have suffered a serious setback.

 From Fox News:

Florida GOP Gov. Rick Scott on Saturday lauded the Obama administration‘s new announcement that gives the state access to a federal database, but he also called the standoff-ending decision a “significant victory” for Florida.

The Department of Homeland Security reportedly informed Scott this weekend that Florida would have access to the agency’s Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database.

The database, known as SAVE, is a list of resident non-citizens maintained by the agency and would help the state to challenge people’s right to vote if they are suspected of not being U.S. citizens.

The Obama administration had for months denied Florida’s request but relented after a judge ruled in the state’s favor in a related voter-purge matter.

“Access to the SAVE database will ensure that non-citizens do not vote in future Florida elections,” the governor said. “I’m appreciative that the federal government is working with us cooperatively… This commitment from the United States Department of Homeland Security marks a significant victory for Florida and for the integrity of our election system.”

Voting rights groups, while acknowledging that non-citizens have no right to vote, have expressed alarm about using such data for a purpose not originally intended — purging voter lists of ineligible people. They also said voter purges less than four months before a presidential election might leave insufficient time to correct mistakes.

Anyone want to scream every time the media refers to these groups as “voting rights groups.”

They are not voting rights groups they are voting fraud enablers.

They do not care about voting rights, what they care about is helping the Party of Treason steal elections.

Florida has complained about non-citizens on the voting rolls but the Federal Government has not wanted to help.  Finally they are being forced to.

 Good.

We must be diligent this fall.  The Party of Treason will be rolling out every trick it can to steal this election.

Our Republic will remain safe, as long as we protect it against those who would destroy it.

Forget Homeland Security, Now It’s About “Environmental Justice” – Tea Party Nation

Forget Homeland Security, Now It’s About “Environmental Justice” – Tea Party Nation.

By Alan Caruba

It is the nature of any government to seek to expand its authority. The Founding Fathers knew this and gifted Americans with a Constitution that limits authority devolving it to the states and to “the people.” Read the Tenth Amendment. It isn’t working.

The freedoms they sought to establish and preserve for future generations are being eaten away and we tend only to hear about in individual cases when, in fact, it is so widespread we accept the injustices, the inefficiencies, and the enslavement in increments.

After 9/11 it was clear that some reorganization was needed to ensure that various enforcement and other agencies could communicate and coordinate more effectively in order to wage “a war on terror.” The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was created. The sheer size of it should have been a warning.

One of its siblings was the Transportation Security Administration that currently makes taking a flight anywhere a nightmare of intrusive groping and, because one failed bomber used explosive in his shoes, everyone now must remove theirs to get on a flight.

Fifty-seven years ago, the State of New Jersey issued me my first driver’s license. For years all one needed to do was renew by mail, but after 9/11, it was decided that every license had to include a photo. A very high tech license resulted, but it also means that, if you live in New Jersey, every four years you are going to spend a minimum of two hours in your nearest motor vehicle agency standing in line and sitting around for your number to be called in order to renew.

You need bring several documents with you such as a passport, birth certificate, and Medicare card. Just one won’t do. Even though I already have a license with a photo (it was on record at the agency so there was no need for a new photo), I still had to personally prove I am who I am to receive a renewed license. In an age of computerized records of birth and residence, the whole process struck me as overkill.

After December 1, 2012, New Jersey will join eight other States to issue a driver’s license with a gold star in the upper right corner. Without it, I will not be allowed to board a domestic flight or visit a federal building. Do I feel any more secure? Not really. In fact, what I really feel is the tightening grip of the federal and state government on my freedom to drive my car, get on an airplane, or legitimately enter a building in which the work of the federal government is being conducted. This is less about security and far more about authoritarian control.

Environmental Justice

I tell you this because I doubt you are aware that the Department of Homeland Security has added a whole new layer of authority to its portfolio. You thought it was about protecting the nation against acts of terrorism. Now it is about enforcing “environmental justice.”

The DHS has added Green Police to its concerns and, if you think this has nothing whatever to do with some jihadists trying to kill a lot of people as was the case on 9/11, you would be right.

According to a DHS report entitled “Environmental Justice Strategy”, issued February 2012, it is a “commitment of the Federal Government, through its policies, programs, and activities, to avoid placing disproportionately high and adverse effects on the human health and environment of minority or low-income populations.”

This has NOTHING to do with homeland security by the wildest stretch of the imagination and yet it is, according to DHS, federal policy. It gets its authority from Executive Order 12898 and this is the way government expands and expands and expands beyond what citizens expect or request.

The results are always predictable. Ordinary people who just want to be left alone discover that the government has defined the ownership of their land and property as a criminal act.

When Chantell and Mike Sackett found themselves locked into battle with the Environmental Protection Agency that had decided their land was a wetland, they battled the EPA all the way to the Supreme Court which granted them a unanimous decision in their favor on March 12th of this year. This kind of “law enforcement” by the EPA has been common over the years, but Congress has done little to rein in its typical bullying tactics.

Now add to the EPA, the Homeland Security Department with its own Green Police empowered to protect “minority and low-income populations.” This is a deliberate effort to divide Americans from one another, inspiring racial and class warfare. It is a vast reinterpretation of its responsibilities and authority.

Welcome to the Soviet Union of America or the National Socialist States of America.

If you thought travel by commercial airplane was starting to look like something out of a bad movie about a police state, you will love what is coming next.

From the same people who have failed to make airline travel any safer but have managed to annoy the hell out of everyone short of the Pope, their version of safety is coming to a neighborhood near you.

 From the LA Times:

The Transportation Security Administration isn’t just in airports anymore. TSA teams are increasingly conducting searches and screenings at train stations, subways, ferry terminals and other mass transit locations around the country.

“We are not the Airport Security Administration,” said Ray Dineen, the air marshal in charge of the TSA office in Charlotte. “We take that transportation part seriously.”

The TSA’s 25 “viper” teams — for Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response — have run more than 9,300 unannounced checkpoints and other search operations in the last year. Department of Homeland Security officials have asked Congress for funding to add 12 more teams next year.

According to budget documents, the department spent $110 million in fiscal 2011 for “surface transportation security,” including the TSA’s viper program, and is asking for an additional $24 million next year. That compares with more than $5 billion for aviation security.

TSA officials say they have no proof that the roving viper teams have foiled any terrorist plots or thwarted any major threat to public safety. But they argue that the random nature of the searches and the presence of armed officers serve as a deterrent and bolster public confidence.

“We have to keep them [terrorists] on edge,” said Frank Cilluffo, director of the Homeland Security Policy Institute at George Washington University in Washington. “We’re not going to have a permanent presence everywhere.”

U.S. officials note that digital files recovered from Osama bin Laden‘s compound in Pakistan after he was killed by U.S. Navy SEALs in May included evidence that the Al Qaeda leader had considered an attack on U.S. railways in February 2010. Over the last decade, deadly bombings have hit subways or trains in Moscow; Mumbai, India; Madrid; and London.

But critics say that without a clear threat, the TSA checkpoints are merely political theater. Privacy advocates worry that the agency is stretching legal limits on the government’s right to search U.S. citizens without probable cause — and with no proof that the scattershot checkpoints help prevent attacks.

Since 9/11, there is only one real security improvement that has made any real difference.  That is reinforcing cockpit doors.  Since 9/11, every time someone has even whispered the words “Allah Akbar” passengers have risen up and fought back.  Since 9/11, not only has every would be hijacker or suicide bomber failed, the passengers have kicked the crap out of him in the process.

Yet these clowns want to do for other forms of transportation what they have done for airline travel.

Now, not only can we be microwaved, harassed, groped and have our shoes forcibly removed at the airport, they are going to now do that at bus and train stations too.

Perhaps we could start by doing some simple things like, identifying our enemy.  Our enemy is not the Knights of Columbus.  The Southern Baptists have not been hijacking any airplanes recently and Joel Osteen has not been encouraging Christian suicide bombers.

Let’s start by identifying our enemy and let’s start by going after our enemy.

And while we are at it, let’s put some competent people in charge of our national security.

Of course, that excludes Obama and his entire regime.

RITTGERS: Abolish the Department of Homeland Security – Washington Times.

Overreaching agency isn’t cost-effective in this impoverished era

By David Rittgers- The Washington Times

George W. Bush was right before he was wrong. Mr. Bush initially opposed the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, but he bowed to political pressure and formed a new bureaucracy and increased domestic-security funds. Ten years after Sept. 11, it’s time to rethink the very existence of that department because the additional layers of government and wasteful spending do not provide enough security to justify its existence.

In response to the terrorist attacks, Mr. Bush created a White House advisory position, with Tom Ridge coordinating federal terrorism prevention and response. Members of Congress thought that plan was insufficient and called for a sweeping reorganization of government. Mr. Bush suddenly embraced the idea and pushed for a Cabinet department larger than anything Congress proposed. What’s more, Mr. Bush claimed the new department would be revenue-neutral, a claim that is laughable in retrospect.

In creating Homeland Security, Congress lumped together 22 previously unconnected federal agencies under a new Cabinet secretary. That’s a problem, not a solution. And while members of Congress routinely clamor for consolidating Homeland Security oversight in one committee, that seems unlikely: 108 congressional committees and subcommittees oversee the department’s operations. If aggregating disparate fields of government made any sense in the first place, we long ago would have consolidated all Cabinet responsibilities under one person – the secretary of government.

Rather than rethinking the structure that imposes inefficiency in the first place, Congress is building Homeland Security a new headquarters to help manage the mess it created. Unfortunately, the largest Washington-area federal construction project since the Pentagon will hold just 14,000 of the 35,000 staff members in the national capital region – less than half. The department projects that spending $3.4 billion to build this massive facility will save $400 million in management costs over the next 30 years. The math is dubious, primarily because few costs can be projected over 30 years with any certitude. And only in Washington would spending several billion dollars to save hundreds of millions be considered a bargain.

Shockingly, the cost of the new headquarters roughly equals what we’ve averaged annually on homeland security grant programs to cities and states. That’s part of the political appeal of “homeland security.” It allows politicians to wrap pork in red, white and blue in a way not possible with defense spending. Not every town can host a military installation or build warships, but every town has a police force that can use counterterrorism funds to combat gangs or a fire department that needs recruits or a new fire station.

You’d think that after Sept. 11 we would have focused our spending on securing the obvious terrorism targets, and in some cases we have. Too often, however, we’re not doing that – like when we buy a hazardous-materials trailer for a county in rural Ohio, a piece of equipment that later gets sold because it sits unused in a parking lot and costs too much to maintain. Or when we buy an 80-camera surveillance system to monitor an Alaskan town too small for a streetlight. Or when we satiate officials’ desire for NASA-style command centers and buy 55 flat-screen televisions for a local intelligence center only to find out that the TVs are all tuned to the same news channel.

There’s reason to doubt how much security this spending has bought us. A study by professors John Mueller and Mark Stewart found that in order to survive a cost-benefit analysis, the past decade’s increased homeland-security expenditures “would have to deter, prevent, foil or protect against 1,667 otherwise successful [attempted Times Square car bomb]-type attacks per year, or more than four per day.”

Ultimately, it may be fiscal necessity that reduces our bureaucratic bloat. The decade since Sept. 11 has been one of profligate overspending, and now the long-feared entitlement crisis is upon us. Government needs to get leaner and spend security dollars on those programs that are cost-effective, scrapping or downsizing the ones that are not. While many of the agencies under the Department of Homeland Security have valid federal missions and would not go away, such as the Secret Service and Border Patrol, we are due for a serious belt-tightening. Abolishing the department, an agency born of political and economic overreaction, would be a good start.

David Rittgers is a legal-policy analyst at the Cato Institute and author of the study “Abolish the Department of Homeland Security” (September 2011).

Napolitano’s V.I.P.R. Vows to “Dominate, Intimidate and Control” the American People « Coach is Right.

By Doug Book,staff writer

Since its inception in 2002,the Department of Homeland Security has grown increasingly contemptuous of the rights of the American people. Indeed, the Gestapo-like tactics of one of the Department’s better known masters of overreach–the TSA–are responsible for countless examples of the organizations daily assault on the Constitution.

But recently, another of Janet Napolitano’s handmaidens of harassment has begun to make news…albeit only on the web,of course. It is the TSA’s Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response task force–or VIPR. Organized into mobile swat teams,VIPR has executed some 8,000 highly public searches in the past 12 months.

And what meaningful operations they have been.

In a Georgia Amtrac station,VIPR personnel “patted down”all travelers, children and adults, both entering AND LEAVING the station.

In Santa Fe,New Mexico, teams of VIPR agents were assigned to conduct searches at a high school prom.

In Texas, agents thoroughly “…searched all private and commercial vehicles entering and exiting…”the port of Brownsville. EACH AND EVERY VEHICLE was searched even though the task force was not responding to any known or reported threat!

In April,VIPR staged a raid at a Tampa bus station. Once again, the teams were not responding to any particular threat. Rather,Homeland Security official Gary Milano said the purpose of the exercise was to “…invent the wheel in advance,in case we have to,if there is ever specific intelligence requiring us to be here.”

And two months later,VIPR targeted 5,000 square miles bordering West Virginia,Ohio and Kentucky. Four hundred agents representing 70 federal agencies appeared in Black Hawk helicopters, small planes and Coast Guard craft. Once again this was a “training exercise.”As usual,no threat had been suspected or reported. TSA official Michael Cleveland stated,“…the purpose of the exercise was to have a visible presence and let people know we’re out here. IT CAN BE A DETERRENT.”

But who is being deterred, intimidated and threatened by these unnecessary shows of force- certainly not terrorists.

“Uncontrolled search and seizure is one of the first and most effective weapons in the arsenal of every arbitrary government…Among deprivations of rights, none is so effective in cowing a population, crushing the spirit of the individual and putting terror in every heart”,said Justice Robert Jackson, the chief US prosecutor at Nuremberg.

The American people are being systematically subjected to,and desensitized to,warrantless searches and the most egregious and unnecessary forms of personal humiliation by an organization whose raison d’etre is inscribed at the TSA Air Marshall Training Center:DOMINATE,INTIMIDATE,CONTROL. And the more often this is done, the more “reasonable”it will seem. Routine? Acceptable? Like 10% unemployment, government harassment will become the “new norm.”After all,it is for our own good!

One has to wonder if Barack Obama isn’t grateful to Muslim terrorists for the 9/11 attacks. After all, without those 3,000 murders, how could a would-be dictator justify the Constitutional abuse to which he is subjecting millions of American citizens? Makes it easier somehow to understand his bow to the King of Saudi Arabia, doesn’t it!
